How to get delightful vision

Today I just got another pair of glasses and since I have not written a “How To” post in a while, I think I will. To begin with I have 20/400 vision. Normally people have 20/20. Now 20/20 means what a person with good vision sees twenty feet away. 20/400 vision is basically what a person would see in detail 400 feet away I see in detail at twenty feet away… In other words I have bad vision, but only from a certain point of view.

20/400 vision is actually rather nice, if there is something you don’t want to see all you have to do is take your glasses off and viola, you can’t really see it. This is really useful in my room as I am not aware of the mess in it with my glasses of. So should you like to have such interesting vision that if you don’t want to see something in detail all you have to do is take your glasses off, follow these simple guidelines.

1. First if you don’t have glasses already go to an optometrist and get your eyes tested. While there and before he makes out your prescription say you want eagle vision and ask him to make your prescription stronger than you need. He’ll laugh and rub his hands gleefully(maybe not in front of you) and give you a stronger subscription.

2. Next put your glasses on and keep them on a lot. Do a lot of reading with them on and hold the book really close to your face. Also use a computer a lot and put your face really close to the monitor. And don’t look at distant objects at all.

3. In time you will notice that your vision is a bit fuzzy in the distance. When it starts getting really fuzzy head back to step one and keep on repeating the steps until you have very bad vision. I don’t know how long it will take to get to 20/400 vision or worse but it shouldn’t take too long.

Now congratulations on achieving interesting vision! You can now take your glasses off and walk up to total strangers and say “Hi Mom! Oh excuse me, I thought you were my mother” and go off and bump into several more people before you finally find the right person.

Now, supposing you tried the previous steps, you got your bad vision, and now you don’t like it. Your optometrist recommends surgery(or more glasses) but… Well, here are the steps toward achieving 20/20 and getting rid of your glasses and this works even if you didn’t use the above method for making your eyes worse. I am currently in the process of using it but I’m pretty lazy and my eyes are lazier so I haven’t been working on it… Your eyes are the laziest parts of your body and also the most complaining… They hate being exercised(which is what the following steps are) and will probably give you many bad headaches(I have had several) but in time they will get stronger and though I don’t usually like the saying “No Pain, No Gain”.

1. Take off your glasses and don’t wear them except for when you really need them.
2. Pick up a book or something with printing on it.
3. Put it to where you have perfect focas.
4. Move it back just a little bit so that it’s just a little bit fuzzy.
5. Stare at it and wait. In a little while your eyes will adjust and the words will go into focus, unless of course you moved it too far back.
6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for a while occasionally taking your eyes off the book and looking into the distance and rolling them rapidly around, this is a very good eye exercise though I don’t recommend doing it when other people are around.
7. Soon as your vision improves you can go to the optometrist and this time ask him to make the glasses a little bit weaker. He may recommend bifocals and probably won’t be as happy as if you wanted stronger glasses but… Your eyes will start working more and thats the point.

Now even more congratulations as your eyes improve. Just don’t mention “Eye exercises” to your optometrist, they don’t like it. After all, peoples eyes getting worse is what they base there business on and they are going to do all they can for repeat customers. Doctors are that way too, and beware the dentist that gives out free candy to his patients.
