This has been a Really exciting day

I got to sleep in until I woke up. I got to go to Walmart where I bought a really nice lego set that was way on sale. AND something else happened. When I got home after a lot of shopping I started using my computer. Now Mac’s have chargers which… Are interesting. At anyrate mine started “Sparking”, “fizzing” and “emitting strange odors” and the the light that shows it is charging my computer went off… As you can imagine I was rather upset as this would mean that once my laptop’s battery was dead I couldn’t use it any more for several days or weeks… You can imagine the tragedy that would be! So I quickly backed up my story files and then, at Mom’s suggestions, informed my Dad of my tale of woe. He called Apple support after I found the number and then after quite a few “Please Waits” we had a person. During the “Please waits” I got my laptop and we managed to locate the cleverly hidden serial number. During this time my Dad tested the charger and located the problem (it is very nice having technical people in the familly!) so when we did get to talk to somebody he could do it intelligibly, instead of with the Giberish I was using to describe the problem.

I won’t go into all of the details of the conversation that followed but I found out something, when you get a new mac laptop don’t just get your computer out and ignore everything else in the box. Although I hadn’t known it I had an extension cord thing! And since the problem with my charger was the part that plugged into the outlet and as that part came out and the extension cord thing plugs into it, my computer has power and is happy! And so am I!
