A Tale of the Unfortunate Harvey T. Bennet

Note, this tale is entirely fictitious and the event in it have not happened, to my knowledge, to anybody. If they have happened to a Harvey T. Bennet then… Well it is now recorded:) But I’m not basing this tale off of anything, and I just chose the name Harvey T. Bennet because I thought it suited the story. In fact I don’t even know why I’m writing this paragraph!!! I suppose it is because I have a cold and it’s making illogical. Also any similarity between this tale and one called “The Beautiful Cassandra” written by Jane Austin is purely unCoincidental.

Chapter the First
Despite much investing in the stock market Harvey T. Bennet was still well to do man as the opening of this story unfolds. He was usually punctual, except when he was late and for breakfast every morning he would always have Tea and Toast.

Chapter the Second
On one fateful Thursday Morning Harvey T. Bennet decided that instead of eating Tea and Toast for breakfast he would have a Bagel and Coffee. So he proceeded to carry out his decision.

Chapter the Third
With the first sip of the lukewarm cup of coffee Harvey T. Bennet began to think that he had made a serious error, which he had since he had accidently put his tie on backwards.

Chapter the Fourth
On correcting this serious blunder he proceeded to eat his bagel and as he did so a thought of such genius came into his head that it surprised him exceedingly, and would have surprised those who knew him even more.

Chapter the Fifth
For suddenly he had realized that Cream Cheese, though fattening, was delicious enough on a Bagel to make up for the previous fact and, when absent from a Bagel, greatly decreased the edibleness of said Bagel.

Chapter the Sixth
So after consuming his breakfast Harvey T. Bennet walked out into the street and actually made it to the other side in safety without once thinking of jokes regarding chickens.

Chapter the Seventh
Harvey T. Bennet had always considered the number seven to be lucky, and he was quite right for in this chapter he gets married and lives happily ever after to the end of his days.

THE END

MORAL: Um, actually I don’t think that there is one… Other than the fact that if one writes when one is tired and ill one sometimes will write great nonsense.
