Snowed it has. Posted about it yet I have not. Do it now I will.
It snowed yesterday. The morning services were cancelled due to snow and ice, but by this evening you could hardly tell there had been snow. We ate with the Diffies and the Books(that is how their last name is pronounced.
Having now had to repeat this story a few times I think I shall hereby relate the story behind the story of this fairy tale that I wrote. It was last Saturday when I was ill and going to David’s Bridal to look at Bridesmaids dresses. I was going to wear something a little nicer than tennis shoes so I put on a pair of brown shoes I had never worn before, to my knowledge. You can see the shoes in question if you look at the post before this one. I just about always wear white socks, since I don’t really have any black ones, so I put on white socks with the shoes. However, as the shoes were a little small, I had to take the thick white socks off, and put on a pair of thinner ones. Combined with an illness, changing a pair of stubborn shoes is not too fun plus the blouse I was wearing had this tie thing at the neckline and I couldn’t get that to cooperate either. And it was about time to go. So when Mom said “Oh, and wear black socks with those shoes” I did not wish to change socks. In fact I purposely ignored black socks and just went down to the car thinking in my crazed mind that white socks would probably go better with the formal gowns I would be changing into. But Mommy being Mommy as soon as she got into the car she handed me a pair of Black socks. So in the car I had to take off the nice comfortable white socks and put on a pair of huge black socks that came all the way up to my knees. If you look at the picture you can’t even see what color of socks I’m wearing. Sometimes I do wish I didn’t have such a fashion conscious mother, but then I would probably make a whole lot of horrible blunders with what I’m wearing, and I would be blissfully unconscious of them and quite happy in that I would think I looked nice… Someday I may learn the rules of fashion, but at the present moment, I doubt it…
And in case you are wondering about the title of this post, Yes, I was imitating Yoda. And for those of you who have no clue who Yoda is, I would advise you to watch “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”. He is the Green Creature.
I think that I shall end this post as it is probably quite long enough.
