I had a really really really fun shopping trip today!

I went to only two stores but those two stores were enough! First I and Laura Beth went to MaryJo’s a huge fabric store. Laura Beth had given me a twenty dollar gift certificate there so I had a fun time figuring out how to spend it! I looked into every single remnant bin there and looked at everything that was on sale and picked up what I thought was interesting and sufficiently on sale and even looked at what wasn’t on sale. They have some gorgeous fabrics there but some were(gasp) $20.00 a yard!!! I usually only pay about $1.00 a yard for fabric and $1.00 a yard is about as cheap as it gets.

When I went to the cash register I had a large basket full of fabric and trim and even four spools of thread. Swiftly everything was rung up and the total for everything was just $19.85. I handed in my twenty dollar gift certificate and I got fifteen cents change. Laura Beth was really impressed. I hadn’t gotten anything that wasn’t significantly on sale so I got a lot! Thank you Laura Beth!

Next it was Lunch time so we went to eat at McDonalds and I had a Happy meal as usual and as they are currently running a Madam Alexander Happy Meal Toy I was really pleased with my toy since it was very pretty.

Since we still had some time left before Laura Beth needed to be back we went to a Dollar Tree. The Dollar Tree near Mary-Jo’s in Gastonia is HUGE!!! And they have a lot of stuff there. They had a costume section and they actually had helmets and sheilds as well as the usual swords and pistols. I got a helmet and a sheild and a sword and a pair of fairy wings and some other misc items. I had a lot of fun.

So here is a picture of what I ended up with spread over the couch. I got a lot for $27.00! Just think, some people that go shopping spend that much money and all they get is a blouse or something!
