And so far I’m doing fairly well at it. The concept of buying and selling stock makes perfect sense to me, you buy when it is cheap and sell it when it is high and make a profit. Or in more technical terms, buy when it “dips” and sell when it “rises” and hit a home run.

My primary source of information on the Stock Market comes from Neopets.com. They have a stock market there and I buy and sell there daily. I’ve made considerable neopoints there and it’s rather a pity it’s not real money… Oh well. It’s interesting learning about the American Stock Market. However stock isn’t the only thing one can buy and sell at a profit, oh no precious, there are lots of other things for the enterprising to make a profit on. However, perhaps the lower risk way of doing it, is merely to work steadily at a job and earn a paycheck. And remember, money should never control you, you should control it. And though there is a saying that money can’t buy happiness… Well, I sure enjoy spending it and buying fun things that greatly increase my happiness level. But I don’t think I’m controlled by it. Though I will admit that I usually perk up a bit when I hear my relatives crinkling bills or clanking loose change and look at them like a dog would look at someone eating a steak who might possibly deign to bestow some of their extra to one who would greatly appreciate it. Some times it works…

I’ve actually done a lot of school today. And I got an A 97% on the test I took today!!! But don’t ask me what it was about… my memory is already failing me. Though wait, it was something about bankruptcy and liquidation and Caveat Emptor and monopolies and if it isn’t a gift horse look it in the mouth and warranties and lot of other things. I got an A 97% on the quiz I just did a few minutes ago too. So apparently I must understand what I’m doing because usually I get between the D and C range with some F’s and an occasional B. An “A” is a very pleasing accomplishment for me. And I am learning some things, I think, from my school. I just don’t spend long studying since I usually do a days worth of school in an hour or less. I’ve spent over two hours on school today and that is very unusual for me. Also today I wrapped my first Christmas Present for this year and it wasn’t addressed to me. It’s fun wrapping presents. Probably I’ll wrap up some of the new trading cards and put them under the tree with tags like “For Elizabeth From Aragorn” for the Lord of the Rings Trading Cards or “To Elizabeth From Obi-Wan Kenobi” on a few of the Star Wars trading cards I ordered. Yes, I did order more than just Lord of the Rings trading cards… Although I am aware that I probably don’t need to start playing another game when I can’t even beat my brother at the current game I’m playing and I have a very full room. But the cards were really cheap, $6.00 for a booster pack box of 30 packs with 11 cards each so that is 330 cards for under two cents a card each, and the games are supposed to last less than a half an hour which is nice since a game of Lord of the Rings TCG seldom lasts for less than an hour and Daniel usually doesn’t have that much time and I might possibly be able to convince Andrew to play a game with the Star Wars cards and besides that, the cards look somewhat nicer than the Lord of the Rings, in other words, the villians aren’t as ugly, and their are more female cards like Padme and her handmaidens and even some miscellaneous senators and one can defeat battle droids and capture planets and what does all of this have to do with the Stock Market? Um… Well, I’m a consumer!

I think I’d better end this post now. It would be nice If I’d write for a while on a story but I don’t think I’ll do that now. I might just go back to doing my school work and get some more done. It would be nice to finish this unit. In fact, it would be nice to finish the whole subject but I probably won’t be doing that this evening though I am over halfway on the subject. Their are ten units in a subject in case you want to know. I think after nearly a week of being half asleep my brain just woke up. And as I said at the beginning of this paragraph, I think I’d better end this post now…
