Your story, How to write a succesful How to get rich Article, has been submitted successfully.
Well, I just submitted my article into “The Neopian Times” which, unless you play Neopets, you probably have never heard of. I’m posting my article on here though most of the jokes and humor of it can only be understood by somebody who plays Neopets but… I want to post it that way I shall know all of the mistakes that are in it when the rejection Email comes as it probably will. But if it doesn’t…. Well there will be great rejoicing in a post and I’ll probably try writing another article. So here is the article I submitted.
The Neopain Times is a place to find out information and not just a place to read the comics. Since most people want to know how to get neopoints there are always plenty of articles on that subject. Therefor since that sort of article is very frequently in the Neopian Times, it is probably a good sort of an article to write. Which means that a “How To” article on writing a “Get Rich” article might be useful to those wannabe Neopian Times writers out there.
In this article I plan to detail the things to include and remember in writing a “How to get lots of Neopoints” article. Of course you need to add your own unique style to your article but here are the basic things that should be included. I am going to numerically list things but you can put them in any order and leave out some of them all together should you so desire. Remember, try to be creative when you write something but also try not to give bad advice like spending all of your money at the Tombolda shop then discarding everything you bought and hitting the reboot button on your computer and yelling “GIVE ME NEOPOINTS OR GIVE ME RARE ITEMS” at the top of your lungs. So now for things to include in your guide.
1. Recommend a bank account and also recommend depositing neopoints in it. This sounds pretty basic but I have a neofriend who, though he made a bank account for the thirty neopoints given out free, never deposited any more neopoints in it and currently runs the risk of losing all of his hard earned neopoints in a random event. Also mentioning interest is good. After all, getting a several neopoints a day with just a click of a button will add up eventually and when you get more neopoints and higher interest rates it really adds up.
2. If this is a guide aimed at Newbies you probably will want to list all of the freebies. If you want to be confusing to the poor newbies you can mention things that aren’t there like the Battle faerie who lives in Maraqua and gives out random abilities to Neopets who bring her codestones or you can mention the non existent Giant Jelly which everybody knows doesn’t exist. Though why every one should just mention that instead of getting creative with non existant things like a secret Jetsam Shrine at the bottom of Kiko Lake is beyond me.
3. If your guide is more for the mature neopian citizens you probably want to mention shop restocking. Make sure you tell them that the shop you restock at is a very bad one so that they’ll avoid it and you can have all of the stuff to yourself and recommend shops that you don’t restock at. Or if you want to be nice you can mention shops without considering yourself. Tell them about using the shop wizard to price things and if you want to write a really good guide neopoint making guide, tell them to buy things during the week days and sell them on Saturday or Sunday night when the prices are the highest.
4. You might want to mention other ways, other than the main neopian shops, to get items for restocking. For example if could recommend to those that have a really fast internet connection to refresh about one thousand times in Happy Valley and they might get a snowball thrown at them or maybe find a few neopoints on the ground. Or you can mention the trading post where many people are willing to give a bunch of junk items away in exchange for just one junk item and you can pick up some items there. Also there are the auctions and the money tree.
5. Games, Games, Games. So many Games. Here you can have a good time being unique since there are so many game combinations you can recommend playing and give hints on. So you can tell them to get a score of 1000 in Advert Attack, 500 in Grand Theft Ummagine, 4,000 in Ice Cream Factory, 250 in The Buzzer Game, 1,000 in Maths Nightmare, 1,000 in Word Poker, and 700 in The Castle of Elive Thade. Then tell them that if they play each of those games three times with those scores they will have 21,000 neopoints every day just like that. Then you can leave them to the doom of trying to get those scores in those games. But if you want to be different you can recommend playing every game in Neopia and finding which ones you enjoy the most and play the best. That is what I personally would recommend.
6. I probably should have mentioned correct grammar, spelling etc. on your Neopian Times submission. Be careful to proof read your submission several times and make certain it is long enough even if you have to count how many words you have. If it isn’t long enough and you can’t think of anything else to say you can always add in several adjectives before each of your words and write a nice long authors note. Which brings me to…
7. It probably would be nice of you to thank the neopets staff and especially Snowflake for the tremendous amount of effort the put into the Neopian times and the Neopets website. Sometimes it is very easy to get caught up in getting neopoints(and reading articles on getting neopoints) that it becomes easy to forgot the many people who work very hard to bring this wonderful website, and for free too! So make sure you mention them, but telling Snowflake to buy a heater doesn’t count I think.
Now I have reached the end of my article. I would like to repeat the part about being creative and unique. There are hundreds of ways to earn neopoints, though some(like playing games and restocking) are better than others(playing Scortchy Slots then spending all of your winnings(if any) on expensive food for your pet and hoping it’s gourmet) and some don’t work at all (Like going to the statue at the bottom of Maraqua and typing in “Give me Neopoints” and refreshing three times). So have a nice day and enjoy playing Neopets!
