Work, Work, Don’t Dare to Shirk, While Goblins Laugh, and Goblins Chaff. Round and Round Far Underground…

For some odd reason those lines from “The Hobbit” came to mind. They were sung by goblins as they non-too-gently escorted thirteen dwarves and one hobbit down “Far Underground”. The song was much longer and had things about whips and darkness and plainly told what happened to prisoners in the goblin realm.

Now why that song should come to mind I don’t know… All I did was about three hours of shop work in Mordor(I mean the shop) today. But that was more than I usually do. Any way there are these boxes that were obviously made for the torment of man kind because they will not fold in the proper way and the clamps will barely fit in them and only one in five will actually permit me to put the lid on properly… I suppose I am slightly at fault because I am not good at them but… I don’t really like those boxes.

However since I have gotten an audio dramatization of “The Chronicles of Narnia” time does pass somewhat pleasantly in the shop, when I don’t have to worry about the boxes. I enjoy listening to the tales of Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy, Eustace, Jill, Digory, Polly, and of course all of the characters from the seven different books. I kind of like Lucy the best of all of the characters. “The Horse and His Boy” is my favorite of the seven books I think. I like the story of a young boy finding out that he is actually a prince, and a prince that is going to be king someday. It was also one of the few books that have personages get married in it. I think the only other book to have two characters marry each other is “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”.

Speaking of Voyages it is only six days until the cruise. I am very, very much looking forward to it. Until we get on the plane is going to be slightly unpleasant because we have a lot of stuff to do before then but… It will probably be worth it. DESERTSSSSS MY PRECIOUS! Excuse the last remark but I seem to have Tolkien in mind this evening.

I know I’ve written quite enough for a post but I don’t feel like stopping. Besides I might be too tired tomorrow to write a post. I have a gorgeous dress in mind. I want to have a dress with pearl beads all over the overskirt and I have made several plans for a dress with that feature, it’s just I doubt I’ll have time to do make it and if I did make it the way I currently plan I doubt Mom would let me wear it. OH!!! I just thought of something, sitting in a dress that is covered in pearl beads might be somewhat uncomfortable… Maybe I should just skip it for this trip and concentrate on other things, like packing and shopping and other sewing. I still have a few shirts and blouses I would like to have, and I even have the material and the fabric for them. I just have to make up my mind and sew them. I do want to wear some designer clothes, with the designer being Elizabeth Von Fange of course.

Well, it is nearly Ten right now and though usually I am still up for about two hours I am rather tired right now since I woke up earlier, and did more, than I usually do. So, THE END
