Farewell till Tuesday

I’m about to leave fore the Airport. I’ll be back Tuesday. I do wish I could get “commissions” for recommending things, because then I would probably say something very nice about a lot of DVD’s but since don’t get a commission I should probably just say nasty things about DVD’s. But that would be a waist of time so I’ll just say that I’ve watched a certain disney movie that just came out on DVD, “Hot Lead and Cold Feet”, several times and rather enjoyed it. It is very interesting because one actor plays the three main roles, and each of them are different. Plot synopsis is…

An old man “dies” and leaves behind a vast fortune, an old western town and a great deal of land. Also he leaves behind twin sons. But neither of the twin sons has heard of the other and they have never met. One is a missionary preacher from the city and the other is, well the roughest toughest gunslinger in the west would describe him fitly. So when the two of them meet it is rather interesting. Then when the will is read it mentions that there is to be a “contest” between the two brothers and the “winner takes all”. The contest consists of a race, starting with steam engines moving onto canoeing through rapids, climbing up a mountain, crossing a ROPE not a rope bridge over a deep canyon with a roaring river at the bottom, and ends up with racing a team of six horses to the finish line in the town. And the fact that some one, who will inherit the money if neither brother wins, is busy sabotaging the race many things of great interest happen.

The movie is a bit “Violent” but not too bad. It was made in the seventies and some of the characters have seventies hairstyles, which are quite different from the hairstyles in the Roy Rogers movies. Don Knotts is in the movie and does a splendid job as a sheriff.

So any rate, I’ll be back Tuesday from New England and hopefully I’ll some pleasant experiences to post about. And also hopefully I’ll post them:)
