A post that is wayyyy over due
It is very good thing that there is no TV at our house. There is something almost irresistible in wasting time watching things that you are just barely interested in. So I’ve waisted the past few evenings in watching television and not writing posts so I now have a bit of a jumble of memories to write.
We went to Cape Cod on one of the days. I got to ride in a duck which is a motorized vehicle that runs on land and sea. It was a blast since our tour guide and driver were very, very funny. I definitely recommend the Duck ride there. When we passed people the tour guide would yell “stage left” or “stage right” and then we would all turn to the designated direction and yell “QUACK QUACK QUACK”. We even passed a wedding party and quacked the wedding march! The best part was, when we were coming home from Cape Cod was stopping at a WALMART!!! and going in and shopping. I got some beautiful fabric that is going to make an elegant evening gown.
I’ve seen a lot of lovely houses in Newport, and played a lot of games of Hangman with Mom on my cellphone while waiting in restaurants. The concept of two player hangman is that one person writes down a collection of words, or a word, and then the other person tries to guess it letter by letter. There is a limit for when you guess a letter that is not in the phrase then the head appears, next the body, then the legs, and last of all the arms. Its kind of fun, especially when I am winning. I beat Mommy several times:) Today we were really competitive, Mom stumped me with “Silly Milly” and I strucky back with “Hilly Silly La La” which she didn’t get and then she really got me with “no tv”, short ones being very difficult to get and I stumped her with, “I hope I win” but I got what she replied which was “I hope you don’t”.
The gift shops are very nice. I got a lovely bracelet and several paper-doll books. Mom has been buying a lot of books so we had to buy another suitcase to bring them home in. I’m tired of writing so this is all for now. I’ll be home soon.
