Online Pet Games
I was downstairs a few minutes ago and was talking to Daniel about the differences, the plusses and the minuses, the so forths and etc.rays of certain online games I play. He suggested that I write it into a post so I think that I will.
Currently I am playing three different online games where you can adopt pets, earn money to spend on the pets, play games, and use the chat boards(which I hardly ever do) etc. Each of them have there particular plusses and minuses. Now, just so you know, ALL of them have prizes for referring people so please, don’t make a move toward these websites unless you give me credit for referring you, and I have different usernames on all of them.
First of all is Neopets.com please use this link to go there. Then make an account. They do send a few minor emails out every once in a while, like every few months, but nothing that is not related to Neopets. You will need an active email to sign up. I’ve been on Neopets for the longest time.
Next, in length of time on, Comes Powerpets
. I believe that clicking on that will let me get all of the glory of your sign up.
Finally, and most recently, comes Furry-Paws.com. I’m still really, really new on Furry-Paws so I don’t know much about the referral prizes, or where the links can be found. I do however have an account number that you type in when making an account. My number is 77658. Alright. I now have the basic information and therefore can begin my post.
I first started playing Neopets some twenty months ago so I’m a “veteran” user there to some extent. I have about 2,200,000 neopoints, which is no small sum. Neopets, the online game, is about five years old or so. I heard about it from a cousin of mine who played it. The main difference between Neopets and Powerpets or Furry-Paws, are the pets. For they are nonexistent animals that you can adopt on Neopets while on Powerpets and Furry-Paws they are more of actual pets. As Neopets has been on the internet for much longer than PP or FP it has a lot more stuff on it. However that is not all good. For one thing, Neopets has advertising. It isn’t too bad, no pop ups etc. but quite a few of the games are advertisements. They also have lots of merchandise you can buy. And a LOT more games than the other two games. Most of the games are quite fun, who could resist playing Meerca Chase? And you do get around 100 or so neopoints per game you play. You can play each game three times a day for neopoints. One other nice things about Neopets is that the news updates about five days a week and there is usually quite a lot in a new update. They will have plots, special events, and new items. There are lots of fun places to explore as well. However the “Freebies” aren’t very good. But you can get enough free food to feed your neopets. You are only allowed to have four neopets.
I think that’s enough about neopets for now. Next comes Powerpets! I’ve been on Powerpets since 6/21/2004. Long enough to know most of the ins and outs of the game. Powerpets has not been around for as long as Neopets, but it has been around for a few years. Powerpets also has no advertising. The money to keep the game running comes from donations from the players. You can get some really neat online stuff for donating too. It is not a problem for somebody to begin rolling in wealth in a short time on Powerpets as the freebies are excellent. Every three hours, instead of every twenty four, you can get free stuff. However on Powerpets things like “Taxes” exist. When you have a shop and you want to take your money out, surprise! The tax man shows up and takes a percentage. However you can still make good profits in your shop anyway. Powerpets is “Educationally” based. They have detailed information on the pets you can adopt. Also several of the “Quests” require typing in correct information on the pets that can be found in the Petpedias. Another really fun thing on Powerpets is that they have Books that you can actually read. The books are written by the powerpet’s players who can submit them, and then earn commissions on every book sold. It is nice being able to read the books because on Neopets, you can’t. Updates are frequent, but as not as much on Powerpets. Every week there is the Powerpets News that lists the new things, and gives a hint of what may come. There are a few games on Powerpets which are fun. However the amount of Powerpoints you can earn from them is not particularly great. There is something very nice for those who want to save there money, and get plenty of money back. Long term saving bonds can be purchased and then when the time is completed, you can get several thousand powerpoints back.
Now for Furry-Paws. I’m only listing the barest facts on these websites, because I could go on and on about the details. Furry-Paws is a dog lovers dream website. You can adopt dogs from just about any breed you want. You can breed them, show them, play with them, feed them, train them, etc. You can host shows, and get money back from the entry fees too. One of the really annoying things about this website is that it loads very slowly. As it has no advertising whatsoever and all money is from donations I am assuming that a faster server can’t be afforded. Also the website is only about a year old or so. However it is very fun. I’ve only been playing for less than a week so I don’t know all of the ins and outs quite yet. But I’m learning. One of the great pluses about this game is that you can have a job. A job which actually can help you financially. I am a merchant, which means I get a discount in the regular shops:) So I buy and sell items and make a small profit, though later when I advance I hope to really be rolling in the dough.
I’m sorry to say that I am tired of typing so I think I will end this post at the current moment. However I think I will give a final little bit of information for those interested.
Neopets is fun if you want more of a crazy constantly changing sites that is not based in reality and has lots of merchandise. You can adopt strange animals like Uni’s(wing horses/unicorns), Lupes(wolf sort of), and quite a few other strange creatures. There is an animal that will appeal to you probably as there is a great variety of creatures.
Powerpets is fun if you want a calmer game that you can actually get ahead in easily and won’t take up all your day if you do everything. You can adopt real animals like horses, seals, cat, dogs, ferrets etc. These do require being taken care of, or else you won’t get to play certain parts of the game. Plenty of goals to work for in this game as you will probably want to be Elite, and it’s quite a job getting to be Elite. I am Elite though.
Furry-Paws is fun if you like dogs. Especially if you can’t or don’t want to have a real dog. You can enter your dog in shows, increase it stats, and learn a tad bit about dogs, though not much. You can adopt just about any breed of dog there is. Plus no advertising:) There are almost no games though but there is plenty of other stuff. The weekly salaries are nice too.
So there you have it, a small guide on three popular online games. I may, in the future, write a more detailed post on each of these websites. But please, use my referral links to go to them. And even if you don’t plan on playing, make an account. Just think of it as a nice Christmas present to me:) And who knows, you just might have a lot of fun playing. It is fun to have pets. I have a Uni, Lupe, Cybunny and Lab pet on Neopets. A Seal and Cat on Powerpets. And five Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs on Furry-Paws. And if I go away on a trip I don’t have to worry about there being fed or taken care of. Because I know that I just log off and then when I log back on, there they are! PLUS I don’t have to worry about them chewing up anything or making a mess in my room. And if I want to cuddle something, I have plenty of stuffed animals. So who needs all of the troubles of a real pet? Adopt an Online pet today!!! And make sure I get the referral prizes for it:) Links etc. at the top of this post in case you’ve forgotten by now.
