I don't particularly have anything to post at this time.
In fact I really don't have much to post at all.
Therefore I shall attempt to write a short poem
And, as is usual, into nothingness I shall fall
Personally I don't think I write very good poetry
Which may be why I hardly write poetry at all
So I shall tell you to beware the Ides of March
For at that time to Caesar, ill fortune did befall
And as I have just about nothing left to say
In fact I never had much to say at all
I suppose I ought to close this silly poem
And post it on my website, visitors to enthrall
My Mom has been working hard on the letter and she now has it written and is letting us proofread it. I repeatedly requested that Bethjoy.com be mentioned so this is what Mom said about it "She has her own website Bethjoy.com in which she enjoys rambling on any subject that catches her attention". Quite frankly I think that sentence is erroneous but I have my doubts about Mom changing it at my request. It's been a long time since I really rambled on here and I don't write down every subject that catches my attention.
I suppose the main thing that I am not very pleased about is that that one measly little sentence followed three sentences talking about my reading David Copperfield on my cell phone! I only spent THREE or so days doing that while posting on my website has been a fairly year long and major thing. Oh well. I'm not in the best of spirits right now, I don't exactly know why but I can guess, and just about everything is upsetting me slightly. I lost two games of "Age of Empires" which may be the main reason I'm depressed... And I'm a bit sleepy. But at any-rate, for those of you are getting the Von Fange family newsletter it should be arriving within the next few weeks. And then you can read about what Mom tells. However as I am getting an average of 25 visits per day on my website who am I to complain if nobody reading the newsletter who does not already visit my website goes to it? I hope that that last sentence made sense. So any rate, I have no written this post and I do wish to mention that I do spend time writing for Bethjoy.com and though it is not what I do most(I would say that sleeping wins there) it is something I normally do more than once a week. And personally I think it deserves a slightly better sentence than that.
I suppose I probably really shouldn't post this post as it is not very humorous or interesting and I already posted a post today but... I think I'll post it. Just to make Mom's words true that I ramble on on any subject that comes into my head... Though I don't really as some subjects that come into my head, I forget about when it comes time to post them!
So now that I have had some good typing practice and I have decided that I need to either go to sleep or eat something before I really start writing crazy things, I'm going to end this post. And I do not like losing even though I normally try not to make a big deal of it. But two games in a row... And Age of Empires games take soooo long to play... END POST HERE NOW ELIZABETH Please pardon the message to myself.
THE END AND HOPEFULLY THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER
You know what I've been thinking? I have been thinking about my writing. I was just looking through my Stories, Books, etc. folder and I have come to the conclusion that I have a lot of stories in the process of being written. Now as I seem to be able to work on a story for about four days in a row without getting too tired of it, and then take a long break and work on the story again, I think I am going to rotate stories. I have about twenty-two folders in my "Stories that have there own folder" folder. However some of them are completed, more or less, or I don't intend to work further on them, so in actuality there are only about 18 stories. So there is plenty to rotate through and then by the time I get back to a story I'll probably be ready to write on it again. I do hope to do plenty of writing before the year ends and hopefully finish something though if I do a lot of rotating that won't seem likely. Oh well, at least I'm finishing lots of posts. I suppose I'll write a short story on here before too long.
Today has been fairly interesting. I slept until nine, in honor of Thanksgiving we have all been sleeping in lately. In the morning I actually did some writing, which is a good thing because other than this post I don't think I'm going to do any more now. I suppose my title is a bit misleading as I do not intend to relate all of the events of today. I have been listening to an unabridged recording of "The Lord of the Rings" and though I am not completely certain, I think it is having an effect on my writing. Especially on my story as I started a draft of it this morning. I seem to be using longer words than usual and taking far longer in saying things. Which is indeed useful if one is writing for length as I was able to make about a page and a half long one paragraph from my most recent story plot, the one I wrote last night.
While listening to "The Fellowship of the Ring" I have been playing two different games simultaneously. That way I'm getting two rather unimportant things done at once so I'm not exactly wasting my time as I'm listening to the story and getting ideas for my book. I've decided it needs a bit more to happen in the plot so as usual I'm "borrowing" or attempting to borrow ideas. Currently I haven't gotten any so I suppose I'm not borrowing.
As I have camera tomorrow I set an alarm clock for when I ought to turn my lights off and go to sleep and it went off just as I finished the previous sentence. So I suppose I ought to go to bed now. Indeed, I am sleepy. So I'll end this post. Progress is being made on the story of Dalthnodair. Let us see whether or not I continue to progress.
I'm currently working on writing my third plot in a row for the story. I wrote one yesterday and I wrote one the day before. They seem to get longer and longer... Which is good. Considering the amount of information that I have written on this story and the way things are currently going, I think that there is a 75% chance I will actually write the book. At least a rough draft of it. The plot I wrote yesterday was a full four pages long. And in this plot there will be even more happening. I have characters I'm pretty satisfied with, Though Professor Relborin and Relborin Junior need some work... Plus I still haven't named the places where the story will be happening yet either. But I have a fairly good opening, the middle needs work, but the ending is great! And having an ending that is great is very important. I just changed the ending from what it was when I posted on this story earlier. In fact, the story has never had the ending that it has now. In case I forget to mention this is Dalthnodair's story I'm talking about. Quite frankly I don't like the name as much as I like Drelia and Nancealia and a few other of my names, but it works. At any rate when I google search for it only my website shows up which is more than I can say for some names...
I suppose the main reason I'm typing this was that I was looking over the plot. You know, in just about every long story I've written(Meaning, "The Royal Crowns of Scotland", and even "Elaine's Pearls") I've had a sword fight. In TRCOFS I had quite a few... Though mainly with dragons as the opponents. But so far in the story of Dalthnodair, there isn't a single sword fight. Though swords are mentioned and should be as one of the main characters is a blacksmith and two of the main characters are experienced adventurers and... Well, I'm not quite sure about the three other main characters. I suppose having six main characters is rather odd... At any rate there is the main main main character who is Dalthnodair and then there are the two main main characters which would be Ranger and Gandaleous and then there are the three main characters of Snobornia, Professor Relborin, and Relborin Junior. I suppose that since I want to finish writing my story plot tonight and as I want it to be longer than the previous one I ought to stop typing on here and start typing on it. I hope you enjoy this insight into the story I am currently writing and remember, I may not finish it though I rather hope I will.

There, don't I look like Princess Leia? For those of you who receive my families newsletter this picture will be on the picture page. I made the dress Wednesday and my brother Andrew made the background for it and put me into it. He is very talented with computers. The picture is a tad bit fuzzy as I compressed it, the original picture is crystal clear. Personally I think I did a pretty good job at copying the dress, though I definitely won't say the same for the hairstyle. I don't have enough hair to successfully copy it...
And it is somewhat interesting especially since I lost just about all of the information on the story in a hard drive crash over a year ago... However I found this post that I had written about it and some of the story came back to me. With further stretching of my memory more of the story came back and I have already written a fairly good plot and I'm currently working on character development. Considering the fact that I seldom work on a story for long, the chances of this story becoming anything is doubtful but at the moment I am working on the story so who knows?
I was working very hard on the story in which Drelia was the main character but I got stuck. I changed the beginning and ending of that story and somehow the whole story didn't seem to make sense anymore and it was also a space/science fiction story and quite frankly, I prefer more fairy-tale/LordOfTheRings type stories when it comes to writing. I think I prefer writing stories like "Elaine's Pearls", which I may post here someday, though I'd rather publish it, or "The Royal Crowns of Scotland" which is posted here.
This story is a bit different from the two previous, mainly because the main character is actually going to be... Wait a minute. I don't really want to spoil the plot. But any rate there is going to be a lost kingdom/city and a great quest to find it and restore it to it's previous state of prosperity and, and, and... uh, magnificence. So I think I'll head back to the story. I haven't exactly decided where the humor of this story is going to come in, but there is room for it. I just figured out the names for the main characters. Their names probably will be: Dalthnodair, the main character; Gandaleous, he's an old man, sort of like Gandalf, and you can see where his name was inspired from; Professor Relborin and his son Relborin Juniour, both are excellent in the lore of the lost city, but not so excellent when it comes to adventures; Snobornia, as far as it is known she is a descendant of the ancient rulers, which makes her an important person; Ranger, I couldn't think of a good name for him since he is going to be the Hero, more or less, of the book so I decided everyone will just call him Ranger, he may be a bit like Aragorn. And all though I may seem to have based a few of my characters on characters from Lord of the Rings, I assure you they will be somewhat different.
I actually did a Google search for each of my characters names to make sure that no one else, at least on the internet, had used them and I couldn't find them. Though now I probably can:) I'm quite surprised that Relborin wasn't taken because if you add a space and a few extra letters you get two very interesting words that may, though I hope not, describe the essence of the character.
So you now have an update on my writing project. The schedule for this evening is... Write a more advanced plot as I currently only have a short one where nobody but Dalthnodair(the only name I could remember from my previous work on this story) had a name and every one was mentioned like, "the Gandalf Character", "the not so adventurous old man", "the mysterious man", "the young woman", etc. etc. It will be far less confusing now that I have names and Ranger is indeed far easier to type than "the mysterious man".
And surprisingly, though swords and daggers may play an important part in the story, I currently don't have a single sword fight written into the plot. All though there are quite a few blank spots in the plot where things could be inserted... And I don't really have a good ending for the story quite yet. But I suppose I've written quite enough on this post and I think I ought to go type out the plot before I get too utterly tired of typing.
Yesterday was quite enjoyable. It was planned for the evening to watch Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back. Therefore I thought I would sew Princess Leia's dress that she wear in both A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. So I sewed it. And it turned out to be remarkably like Princess Leia's dress. I have a great picture of it but as usual, I can't seem to be able to get it up here,
My most humble and sincere apologies for the shortness of this post but... I'm afraid it's not going to be much longer. I have been doing a little bit of writing recently though. Mainly in the form of story work on a new story. It is definitely amazing the ratio between the stories I work on and the stories I complete.
And since the soup is now completely eaten and nobody objected to it, I can reveal the manner of which I cooked it.
Normally I do not cook or do anything like it. Pouring cearel, putting peanut butter and jelly and butter on bread is about the extent of my food preparation. Though I normally clear the table and set it. Well tonight, Mom being busy she requested that I fix supper. After recieving careful instructions on getting a can of Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup(as usual this is not a paid advertisement though the soup does taste good) opening it, then filling the empty can with water and pouring that in, and setting the stove on medieum etc. I went to the kitchen.
With remarkable little difficutly I found the pot Mom wanted me to use, I put it on the stove and I turned the right burner onto medium. Then I picked up the can of soup. And quite frankly, I don't think the can of soup liked me. It had this funny tab thing which I think you are supposed to lift up or something. At anyrate I don't think you're supposed to push down as you to do to a can of coke or something, and then try to pull up and pull the tab off and then be stuck with just a little bit of the can lid sticking down. I attempted to pour the soup into the pot but though the broth went in the noodles and etc. didn't go in... Now if you want only the broth I highly recommend this method.
Next I tried using the can opener but made the lid part be so far down that the cutting device couldn't open it. So the next thing I tried was pushing down as I couldn't very well pull up. With pushing down I managed to open the lid about halfway and get soup etc. on my fingers as I had not poured out much broth. However I turned it upside down and poured out. The unfortunate part of this was that the noodles that were not on the side that were coming out pushed down and closed the lid effectively cutting the noodles that were coming out. I hope this makes sense. I pushed down further on the lid and then poured again. I forget how many times I repeated this until I finally got the lid off... But it was several times.
Most of the contents of the can now being in the pot I then walked over to the sink with the can in my hand. We have two sink faucets, one is regular water and the other is filtered water. Mom had specifically stated to me that I should use filtered water but I was so flustered by what had happened in the previous paragraph that I used non filtered water from the normal faucet. As soon as I realized this, which was before I poured it into the pot though after I had filled the can up, I yelled up to Mom, who was upstairs using her computer, that I had not used the filtered water. She said it was okay so I dumped the contents of the can into the pot. I put the lid on after again yelling up to Mom whether or not the contents of the pot needed to be stirred, which they didn't at that time. I then left the scene of the kitchen and went upstairs to my room where I commenced playing on Neopets.
After this adventure I rather forgot about the soup. However my laptop has a wireless internet connection. Every once in a while, as in several times a day, I need a "Replug" where I have to go down stairs and unplug and the replug a certain cable if I want to use the internet again because it just stops.
It is my firm belief that God must have been watching over the soup because I needed a replug just about the same time that the soup started boiling over... I normally walk through the kitchen to get the replug and I noticed the soup actively boiling. Remembering the wise words of my mother on not allowing the soup to boil I immediately removed it from the burner and placed it on another burner, turned off the stove, and then grabbed a few paper towels and wiped up the soup that was on the stove. Then I got myself a replug and went back upstairs to my computer.
When I returned downstairs a short while later to see if anybody was ready for soup, which they weren't, I put the now cooled off soup on a pot holder on the table and tried to find Mom. She was on the phone in the office so I asked her if we were ready for soup. She told me to put it back on the burner with the burner on low so I did so.
When she was done with her phone call she came in and put the soup on the table and then the soup was consumed. As far as I know none of us have died of indigestion yet.
THE END
However, despite the fact that I am not being outright paid for saying nice things about The Light Source, since my Dad owns it I do receive certain benefits from the profits of The Light Source. I have just come inside from working out in The Shop, which is the place where The Light Source products are produced. The Shop has changed much since the early days where I worked there(search for Mordor in other posts). Now it is fairly pleasant out there. Recently the whole shop was rearranged and now the assembly area is quite a bit nicer. However, I am not exactly going to talk only about the shop in this post, oh no, there are much more things to discuss.
I have no clue on how many people who read my website might need a high quality though affordable clamp to hang lights with but... Use Light Source Clamps!!! There is the Mega Clamp, which is the standard clamp. It has an elegant shape which, even if you don't need to hang lights, would still look cool as a home decorating item and if you ever need something that could hold several hundred pounds without breaking there it is! I suppose I could just refer you to the Light Source website which I believe my website has a link to it, in fact it does as I just checked. The website isn't exactly impressive at the moment and it doesn't list all of our products, like the Monstro Clamp which is huge(in comparison to our other clamps), however Daniel, the impressive and great master of web design and Code, is working on a new website. It should be done soon... Hopefully.
Any way, as Christmas is coming Light Source Products make great gifts, hopefully. We have the small and useful Mega Combo wrench which is perfect for fastening and unfastening the bolts of our clamps. And we have just come out with a new product which is the large version of the Mega Combo Wrench, the Mongo Wrench! It has everything on it that a Mega Combo Wrench has, plus it handles couplers and has a built in bottle opener.
It is amazing the stimulation of ones mind in the shop. I not only thought up the subject of this post, but also Ideas for a NEW random story which may or may not show up soon.
Oh, and there are dealers of Light Source products all over the world!
And also a matter of interest, John told me this morning that I push for things too hard... I was mention Christmas presents rather forcibly... I suppose next Christmas I'll try to be good and not mention Christmas presents. After all, there are far more important things to life than presents and I can always work in the shop and buy the stuff for myself! Which is why I want to make sure that products from The Light Source continue to sell.
And eventually I think it would be fun to have a paid advertisement on here... However it probably would only be something I would advertise anyway... And did I say that clamps make nice paperweights? Oh, and we have the delightfully little Micro Clamp that probably would make a very nice Christmas Tree ornament? And if you really need to, the Micro Clamp could probably hang the whole Christmas tree...
So I think that now I will end this post and channel my creative efforts to other things...
You know, I think it has been over a year since I was really doing school regularly. Currently I'm not doing any regular school and I enjoy it:)
It's been really interesting reading through my posts! You know, Bethjoy.com's second anniversary is coming up! Two years of posts... Wow. It's rather interesting reading about all of the projects I never completed... You know, it's been about a year since I tried to post a picture on here. Maybe I'll see if I can post a picture on here. Lets see...
Remarkable, I finally found why pictures don't work... I read the help section! I think I'll have a question or two for Daniel tomorrow... Though since he was so nice about putting stats up finally for my website I doubt I'll bug him much about my not being able to post pictures. Though at some point I think it would be fun to be able to post pictures on my website directly from my computer.
I was reading through my posts and I found that I have been asking Daniel to let me see the stats on my website since April 18, 2003! At least that is when I posted my wish and desire for it. Reading through my old posts is quite interesting...
And getting more positive feedback on my writing means naturally, more writing! I am not going to write a nice long post at this time but I'm just writing a little note here for myself to write more about my brothers doings. I went over to the Collage and Careers night this evening after church. All three of my brothers are actively involved there. One young woman mentioned that she read about my brothers on my website so I think I'll mention more of what they are doing so that she, or anybody else who is interested, will know. My brothers are very nice almost all of the time. Occasionally, though it is very seldom, they can be slightly annoying but not very often. Andrew is very interesting as far as logic is concerned and that may occasionally cause communication problems but it is normally well meant by him. I don't think I'll list all of my brother's faults as this time because quite frankly, I don't know of that many and the ones I do know of don't exactly count... Normally they do remember to give my presents for my birthday and Christmas. And speaking of Christmas it's coming up! In fact, Daniel, John, and Andrew, though I plan to mention this at breakfast tomorrow morning, we are probably going to have a gift exchange on Thanksgiving which is in a couple of days. I'm going to get something for each of you. Of course giving is a lot a better than receiving but far be it from me to hog all of the benefits! And in case it is not extremely obvious to anybody who is even remotely aquainted with me, I like receiving presents.
And that is enough of a post for now as my Dad is making ice cream and I want to go down and eat it.
I have been thinking about writing another random piece of text and I think I will do so. I hope you enjoy it. Sadly, I don't feel extremely creative this evening. It has been a fairly long day. I am still working on previewing a rather large stack of DVD's. At some point I think I'll start writing DVD reviews as that my be informative. Enjoy the random piece of text all though that is not an order.
"Sir, are !" said a as he raced into his commander's office. "Well don't worry about that", his commander said while rising to his feet. "They'll never get us while I stand." At that moment a hit the commander and . "." said a lieutenant who was standing near.
Now if you were wondering what happened next, I am too. But I happen to have a case of writers block therefore I fear this is all that you will hear at this time about the ... You can assume whichever side you prefer won.
As I have just found that a lot of people come to my website I am going to post another bit of random text I just wrote. Here it is and please forgive the occasional grammatical errors.
I wish to prove that random stories can be used for far more than just fairy tales. Therefore I am going to write this sort of post and then randomize it. First I will show this original version of the post and then beneath it I will show a randomized version of this same post. If you see two identical posts then... Well just refresh. I hope to make this interesting and humorous. So let us see what I can do with this simple little post...
My dear older brother Daniel just set up something for my website that I've been wanting, a way for me to see how many people have been on my website. So, in case you were wondering, as of a few minutes ago 245 unique visitors have been on my site! And that is JUST FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER!!! Last month it was 360!!! Now if I had a donation spot and everyone donated a dollar... Never mind that last sentence. But it is impressive that that many people have been to my website! I do wish to thank you for reading my website if you do so. I hope that it is interesting and entertaining. And speaking of interesting and entertaining, I think I'm going to post a few more stories on here. Some that I've already written but haven't posted. Though chances are I'll do that later when I can't think of anything to say. But it is quite impressive reading the statistics on my website! So far there have been 575 visits, so that is an average of 2.34 visits per person. There have been 2816 pages loaded, which is about 4.89 pages a visit(these statistics are written down.) And remember, this is just for the month of November which is not even over yet! In fact, so far to day there have been 9 visits to my website! The most visits so far this month was on the eighth of November when there were 46 visits and 103 pages loaded. However the amount of pages loaded record is undoubtedly held by the ninth of Nomember when 464 pagees were loaded. There were only thirty visits that day. This is all really fun to read!!! It seems as though most people stay on my website for short periods of time but about 64 have been on there for 1h+. I hope I'm not scaring you by what can be traced on the internet... And don't worry, it doesn't list anybodies names or credit card numbers:)
And since I'm having hundreds of page hits on my website I'm going to try and write more posts and stories etc. for here so that I may be able to attract even more readers! This is really exciting!
Today I start out with an excellent title. Sadly, I have little else to say. I have been watching a lot of dvd's throughout the previous few days. I found four DVD's worth of Ozzie and Harriet and I've been watching them.
Yesterday, Wednesday, I went to Toys R Us. I was extremely extravagant and spent $16.11 on a brand new doll for me. She is very pretty I think. She has red hair and blue eyes. She is smaller than a barbie doll. I didn't really like the outfit she was wearing when I bought her so I've already sewed her three new outfits. It seems to be the current trend in dolls to have large heads. Which means that I have to change my approach to sewing an outfit. If I make a medieval dress for me I make it to slip over my head. However since my dolls head is larger in circumference than her shoulders... I am making the outfits to slip on from below. Sewing is very interesting.
Speaking of spending Christmas on a cruise ship in Hawaii... That is what I probably will be doing. My dad has already booked the cruise! I will be on the Norwegien wind. I get a room with a window in it! My brothers are going on this cruise unlike last time. It ought to be fun! I don't really think I'm in much of a writing mood at present. Therefore I will probably end this post now.
Well, here is the latest random story. I hope that you enjoy it. I included the orignional random story that I randomized. Which is why there are two stories. It is possible for both stories to show up the same, however it is highly unlikely. Don't forget to refresh a lot. And one special thing about this story is that every single bit of this story is random. So everything can change.
The Story of by Elizabeth Von Fange
This was the original story I wrote. It is now randomized in the above story. "Once upon a time there was a handsome hero named George who loved eating pizza. One day he saw a beautiful princess and immediately fell in love with her. He was overjoyed to find that she was promised in marriage to anybody who could slay the evil dragon that was molesting the people. So he immediately set out to do this noble deed. After great difficulty he was able to slay the evil dragon. George returned then with proof of his deed and was able to marry the princess that very day. And they lived happily ever after. We hope..."
. I believe that clicking on that will let me get all of the glory of your sign up.
Finally, and most recently, comes Furry-Paws.com. I'm still really, really new on Furry-Paws so I don't know much about the referral prizes, or where the links can be found. I do however have an account number that you type in when making an account. My number is 77658. Alright. I now have the basic information and therefore can begin my post.
I first started playing Neopets some twenty months ago so I'm a "veteran" user there to some extent. I have about 2,200,000 neopoints, which is no small sum. Neopets, the online game, is about five years old or so. I heard about it from a cousin of mine who played it. The main difference between Neopets and Powerpets or Furry-Paws, are the pets. For they are nonexistent animals that you can adopt on Neopets while on Powerpets and Furry-Paws they are more of actual pets. As Neopets has been on the internet for much longer than PP or FP it has a lot more stuff on it. However that is not all good. For one thing, Neopets has advertising. It isn't too bad, no pop ups etc. but quite a few of the games are advertisements. They also have lots of merchandise you can buy. And a LOT more games than the other two games. Most of the games are quite fun, who could resist playing Meerca Chase? And you do get around 100 or so neopoints per game you play. You can play each game three times a day for neopoints. One other nice things about Neopets is that the news updates about five days a week and there is usually quite a lot in a new update. They will have plots, special events, and new items. There are lots of fun places to explore as well. However the "Freebies" aren't very good. But you can get enough free food to feed your neopets. You are only allowed to have four neopets.
I think that's enough about neopets for now. Next comes Powerpets! I've been on Powerpets since 6/21/2004. Long enough to know most of the ins and outs of the game. Powerpets has not been around for as long as Neopets, but it has been around for a few years. Powerpets also has no advertising. The money to keep the game running comes from donations from the players. You can get some really neat online stuff for donating too. It is not a problem for somebody to begin rolling in wealth in a short time on Powerpets as the freebies are excellent. Every three hours, instead of every twenty four, you can get free stuff. However on Powerpets things like "Taxes" exist. When you have a shop and you want to take your money out, surprise! The tax man shows up and takes a percentage. However you can still make good profits in your shop anyway. Powerpets is "Educationally" based. They have detailed information on the pets you can adopt. Also several of the "Quests" require typing in correct information on the pets that can be found in the Petpedias. Another really fun thing on Powerpets is that they have Books that you can actually read. The books are written by the powerpet's players who can submit them, and then earn commissions on every book sold. It is nice being able to read the books because on Neopets, you can't. Updates are frequent, but as not as much on Powerpets. Every week there is the Powerpets News that lists the new things, and gives a hint of what may come. There are a few games on Powerpets which are fun. However the amount of Powerpoints you can earn from them is not particularly great. There is something very nice for those who want to save there money, and get plenty of money back. Long term saving bonds can be purchased and then when the time is completed, you can get several thousand powerpoints back.
Now for Furry-Paws. I'm only listing the barest facts on these websites, because I could go on and on about the details. Furry-Paws is a dog lovers dream website. You can adopt dogs from just about any breed you want. You can breed them, show them, play with them, feed them, train them, etc. You can host shows, and get money back from the entry fees too. One of the really annoying things about this website is that it loads very slowly. As it has no advertising whatsoever and all money is from donations I am assuming that a faster server can't be afforded. Also the website is only about a year old or so. However it is very fun. I've only been playing for less than a week so I don't know all of the ins and outs quite yet. But I'm learning. One of the great pluses about this game is that you can have a job. A job which actually can help you financially. I am a merchant, which means I get a discount in the regular shops:) So I buy and sell items and make a small profit, though later when I advance I hope to really be rolling in the dough.
I'm sorry to say that I am tired of typing so I think I will end this post at the current moment. However I think I will give a final little bit of information for those interested.
Neopets is fun if you want more of a crazy constantly changing sites that is not based in reality and has lots of merchandise. You can adopt strange animals like Uni's(wing horses/unicorns), Lupes(wolf sort of), and quite a few other strange creatures. There is an animal that will appeal to you probably as there is a great variety of creatures.
Powerpets is fun if you want a calmer game that you can actually get ahead in easily and won't take up all your day if you do everything. You can adopt real animals like horses, seals, cat, dogs, ferrets etc. These do require being taken care of, or else you won't get to play certain parts of the game. Plenty of goals to work for in this game as you will probably want to be Elite, and it's quite a job getting to be Elite. I am Elite though.
Furry-Paws is fun if you like dogs. Especially if you can't or don't want to have a real dog. You can enter your dog in shows, increase it stats, and learn a tad bit about dogs, though not much. You can adopt just about any breed of dog there is. Plus no advertising:) There are almost no games though but there is plenty of other stuff. The weekly salaries are nice too.
So there you have it, a small guide on three popular online games. I may, in the future, write a more detailed post on each of these websites. But please, use my referral links to go to them. And even if you don't plan on playing, make an account. Just think of it as a nice Christmas present to me:) And who knows, you just might have a lot of fun playing. It is fun to have pets. I have a Uni, Lupe, Cybunny and Lab pet on Neopets. A Seal and Cat on Powerpets. And five Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs on Furry-Paws. And if I go away on a trip I don't have to worry about there being fed or taken care of. Because I know that I just log off and then when I log back on, there they are! PLUS I don't have to worry about them chewing up anything or making a mess in my room. And if I want to cuddle something, I have plenty of stuffed animals. So who needs all of the troubles of a real pet? Adopt an Online pet today!!! And make sure I get the referral prizes for it:) Links etc. at the top of this post in case you've forgotten by now.
There are several disadvantages of writing the subject titles before writing the post. For although you may know what you want to write about beforehand (which I usually don't) sometimes you don't write what you thought you were going to write and you can only do so many "Time for another post" posts.
I have herewith decided to attempt the writing of a new short story for here. I have absolutely no clue what I'm going to write and since I seldom do any extensive editing what you are about to read could be interesting. So without further ado I am going to show of my typing and writing skills.
Once upon a time a long time ahead, technology had advanced so far as to make writing obsolete. Portable typing devices had grown so popular that handwriting was no longer even taught in schools, unless you went to a special collage on the ancient communication methods of past centuries.
Now into this setting a scientist from 1802 time warped himself. Of course, back in those times, the typewriter had not even been invented.
The scientist name was Leoapold Stowkalidan and in order that it will be even harder to prove this story false, I won't say where he was from. However, I have a feeling that Einstein must have found his notes. But on arriving in the technologically advanced world he was most struck with the plumbing facilities. Also with the
Okay, I am about to do something that I do often in my stories. Stop. For one thing, I don't really know where to go from here and I think I'm better at fairy tales. For those who would like to know what an unsuccessful story is like, I will leave the above in. But any-rate Leapold Stowkalidan was never able to get back.
Once upon a time there was a beautiful young princess who loved to sing. The fact that she could not, while singing, make any sounds pleasant to the ear did not bother her in the slightest, though it did bother nearly everyone around her.
In fact, it bothered the king so much that he secretly sent out a proclamation to everyone in the kingdom, with the exception of the princess, that a high reward was offered for anybody who could make the princess's singing bearable to those around her.
Nearly all of the music teachers in the kingdom came to the capitol and tried their best with the princess. But it was to of no avail. The princess had no notion of notes and seemed absolutely incapable of improving her voice.
But, as is usual in tales of this sort, along came a clever young man who was able to solve the problem. He had been born on a chicken farm where the chickens made quite a lot of noises. Cotton was also raised on the farm and he had found that by applying a small amount of cotton to ones ears the loud noises of chickens was effectively quieted.
There fore he decided to see what the reward was for making the princess's singing bearable. He set out to the capitol and soon arrived. He informed the king that he had an invention that would make the princesses sing bearable. As the princess was singing in a nearby room and making an even louder racket than usual, the king suggested immediately exhibiting the invention. The clever young man did and the king and finding the result so pleasant, for silence was a thing unheard of at that court, he immediately told the clever young man that he had just earned the promised reward. Of course the clever young man was excited and immediately asked what the reward was. The king smiled and told him that the reward was the princesses hand in marriage.
To say that the clever young man did not exactly feel as much joy and elation as he would have had the reward been even a medium size amount of money would be an understatment. The princess was not very beautiful. But he made the best of it and cheerfully married the princess. Hopefully they lived happily ever after but I know they lived noisily ever after.
MORAL: It is usually a good idea to find out what you are getting yourself into before getting into it.
And that was a piece of fiction on how earplugs where invented. Comming up next on Bethjoy.com, Another Post!
And of course that means I ought to write a post. Actually it is November fourth already since I have been extremely lazy and haven't written much lately. On Bethjoy.com that is. I've actually written about ten pages of story work on a new story I'm working on. I'm going to attempt writing at some point(I hope). Currently I working on the plot, characters, settings, etc.
This story is going to be nice to write because it's been in existence in my head for quite some time. It is very seldom that I actually write even the basic idea down for one of the major stories I think on. Mainly I just enjoy them as I ride my bicycle, and this one has definite bicycle influence as racing fast vehicles that distinctly resemble bicycles is a main plot point. The plot takes place in a grand galactic scale that takes the main character many exotic locations. Of course that means I'll have to think up exotic locations but I'm hoping it won't be too difficult. The main problem will be disguising where I got my inspiration from...
I'm not exactly certain how some things will be. I could, if I wanted to, make this an extremely funny story but I'm not exactly sure I'm going to do it. I think it will be more of a serious adventure, but if through my writing humor soaks through I probably will leave it. It's a fairly strait-forward story. The heroine, Drelia, has a mission, or quest, that she must accomplish within a certain amount of time. The whole book follows her and doesn't go off on any side plots etc. Also, I don't think it will be a "romantic" book as I think that since I have no personal experience in that respect, I'll probably write more romantic tales after I have some personal experience. At least, in this story the main character won't have any romance. Though I won't say anything about her handsome older brother who just might have a bit of romance since he is only a minor character and it won't come into the story much except at the end.
One thing I will defiantly have to work on avoiding in my story is run on sentences.
I think the main reasons I'm writing this is 1. I want to be writing something. 2. To work on my writing skills and a story is a way to do this. 3. To see if I can actually write a good adventure/action/interplanetary story. These being my reasons(though I forgot, 4. I'm not doing school right now and this is a way to spend time profitably) I have written much of the key story. I'm changing the plot quite a bit from the original. Especially since the original story is like a giant jigsaw puzzle with lots of beginnings, endings, and middles and tons of stuff in between. This is a story that has been going around in my head for years you see. So I'm only using a small portion of my original ideas. That way, when and if I want to and am able to, I can write the thousand page epic story and include just about everything, including the huge intergalactic war, without it seeming to be the same story that this one came from.
However, I'm not having a war of any sort be in this story as it is going to be a "short story" though I sincerely hope it will exceed more than fifty pages and that is a "long story" for me.
Characters are something I really want to work on as I'm not particularly good at writing them and creating them well. So I'm hoping this story will be a very good learning experience for me and will come out at least decently. I highly doubt with the way it looks at present that my family will enjoy reading it much as it is somewhat serious and not exactly as light and humorous as "Elaine's Pearls" or even as "The Royal Crowns of Scotland". I really hope it is much better than "The Royal Crowns of Scotland" as that book is, in my opinion, not very good and has not been widely read by my family. I am slightly proud of "Elaine's Pearls" though, that book being my first great success in long stories. I wrote TONS of background information and plots and other things that fill text boxes for it.
I think this post is long enough at the moment. I started writing Drelia's story on November 2 so it will be interesting to see just how long I'll be actively writing on it. So this post is now over.
I think I put my posts up the right order. It took a little bit of arranging since my drafts were not saved in chronological order etc. Hopefully everything looks all right.
Having lost my watch this morning I don't know how long I've been flying of how far away I currently am from home. I am on the last flight of the day, for me, though. Then, hopefully, I will get to go get ice cream!!! as a reward for being good during the trip. Yes, I didn't drink alcoholic drinks, smoke, gamble, flirt, use drugs, drive recklessly, or use bad language the entire trip. Not that I have ever done anything like that. Except perhaps the drive recklessly part but that was in a computer racing game where I flipped my car several times. Actually the being good part was not eating large amounts of desserts, which I was very good and only had a nibble or two sometimes.
This morning we got up fairly early and had a delicious breakfast at Embassy Suites. I do recommend Embassy Suites and as usual this is not a paid advertisement. Some day... We then proceeded to the rental car return. During our stay in Austin Texas we had a white mini-van with a built in DVD player. That was nice. We returned it and then head to our airport terminal. We arrived at least an hour and a half before our flight was even supposed to be boarding but even with our early start we never got on the plane since we got on the previous flight that was going to the same place. We rushed on just as they said they were about to close the door, after being transfered of course, and then we sat and waited. And then we waited some more. Then an announcement came over the system that as there had been some problems with birds in the engines they would have to examine and do maintenance before we could go. About an hour later they were still cleaning and fixing the plane and about the time that our other plane would have left several minutes ago, we were still waiting. There was thunderous applause when the plane finally started moving. As it was, we missed the flight connection that we would have made. Fortunately we were rescheduled onto a flight that went directly to Charlotte, instead of having another stop at an airport to change planes. So on the whole, we are getting back about the same time that we would have been getting back and we get a direct flight.
So in just a few short hours I will have INTERNET AGAIN!!! And that will be a cause for great rejoicing. I'll probably stay up late tonight using it. And I'll post my posts that I've written and probably write a post about my welcome home etc. As my brothers will probably be at church I doubt they'll be there but Bucky might be glad to see us.
I have actually been doing quite a bit of story typing lately. Mainly I've been working on the basic ideas for a serial story with lots of characters and action. However, knowing the amount of stories I've started and haven't finished yet or worked on much, completion within the next three years may be doubtful. But it is a fun way to pass the time in an airplane. With the current way my ideas are going the story might be better as a plot to a computer game but I may write the story and do a computer game based off the story or visa versa or both at the same time. Anyway I am going to try and do more writing as I do enjoy writing and especially reading my writing. So I think that this is enough of a post for now.
It was a lovely wedding. The bride wore a lovely gown of white with a long beaded train. There was a cute adorable little flower girl who got tired of people constantly insisting on taking picture. Her hair was in golden curls. It was a fall themed wedding so the flower girl threw leaves instead of petals etc.
I wish to make some notes here as I thought about what my wedding might be like. Of course all of my current opinions are subject to change and when I do get married I will undoubtedly consult my future husband on his opinion on the subject of the wedding but... I think I'll just write a few things down that I liked and a few things down that I didn't, and a few things down that I think would be fun.
One thing, they had the photographer take the pictures beforehand and then had the wedding ceremony. That way every one could go straight to the reception. That is kind of nice. Another was that instead of throwing rice and old shoes, everyone blew bubbles. Next the reception was rather short, which I like because I have a feeling that when I get married I'll want to go off and be alone with my husband. Of course, as I have said, all of this is subject to change.
Another thing, theme weddings seem to be nice. This wedding had the theme of "Fall". Since my birthday is in the fall I would prefer my wedding to be in the spring. That way my wedding anniversary, birthday, Christmas, and valentines day are all comfortably spread throughout the year. I'm quite certain I want a Fairy Tale wedding. I want to have my wedding gown look like a fairy tale princess would have worn it, and of course I want to look as beautiful if not more beautiful than any fairy tale princess. However that does leave a wide range of styles for me to pick from but I'll probably pick exactly what my gown will look like later. I doubt, though it would be nice, I'll make my future husband were a full suit of armor though. Tuxedos are nice and probably more comfortable than suits of shining armor. But who knows. I'll have to see what he is willing to do... And whether I can get the best man and groomsmen to match...
I also think it would be fun to have a lot of bridesmaids. All, of course, in lovely fairy tale gowns, though not as lovely as mine of course. And maybe two flower girls or more. I suppose the main arrangements will have to depend on whether I know any cute little girls by then. My brothers might actually be married with children by the time I get married but who knows other than God. Sometimes looking ahead is scary, though it is fun sometimes. A LOT of responsibilities come with matrimony, but certain pleasures and niceties come too. I'm especially looking forward to the courting process...
In case you can't tell, weddings seem to put me into a romantic mood... And apparently I seem to be as fond as ever of the "..."
Anyrate, I am enjoying being sixteen and unentangled with anybody romantically. I hope that last sentance made sense. I am currently somewhat rambling and I think I'm going to put my rambles to good use and go write a story or something. Or at least a plot or two. I've had several ideas going around in my head that I would like to use... At some point I want to write a serial epic TV show sort of thing with lots, and lots, of action characters side plots, humor, and etc.
So I think I shall this post now. I wonder if I will write a post on my wedding day... And I also wonder if I will ever have a wedding day... I probably will, even I don't get married. I mean, I all ready have two wedding dresses bought and I could always put one on and go through the ceremony in my head and get married to nobody... I hope if my future husband ever reads this he will be amused. You know, it might almost be embarrassing for him to know about this website, especially if I write about him a lot once I've met him. Maybe then I'll have to keep an actual unpublished diary or something then. Anyway, I think I actually am going to end this post now.
Last night we stayed at a charming embassy suites. We met a business friend of my father's there for dinner and afterwards went over to his place of business. He and his wife and son had just adopeted two cute, adorable, pug dogs. One of them was named snuffles. I got to hold, pet, play with, snuggle, etc. them. I also got to ride in a completely electric car. It was really neat too.
This morning we set out for Hearst Castle amongst the lovely California mountians. We arrived there in time for the very first tour that morning. After a eight minute bus ride to Hearst Castle, on extremely narrow and winding roads with sharp drop offs(I was sincerely hoping the bus drivers knew what they were doing...) We arrived at the castle. Actually, castle, is kind of misleading. I would call it castles as there are three large guest houses. However the large main building is indeed impressive. Apparently Mr. Hearst was fond of new inventions as his home had some of the first showers in that part of the country. Mr. Hearst was also a shop-a-holic. If he saw it and liked it he would buy it. Being on of the richest men around he was able to do it too. He liked to collect three to six hundred year old ceilings, fire places, paintings, and he even collected some Roman Ruins for around his huge pool! I do recommend visiting Hearst Castle, especially tour two which shows two rooms that I would really like. Or at least a sort of cross between the two different rooms with sever changes in the furniture... I let you guess which two rooms but I'll give you a hint, one is golden and celestial and the other room has a rose peach bathroom and has a spiral stair case.
We took three tours while at Hearst castle. First we did tour one. Then we did tour three. The third tour we went on was tour two. After that we watched the forty minute long movie. We were there for over seven hours. It was fun:)
After Hearst Castle we drove down highway 1 for a short while then came upon a colony of Elephant Seals. These fascinating creatures are fond of laying around in the sun and scratching while making loud noises. If you should ever get a chance to see some Elephant Seals be sure to watch for a bit and see if they scratch. It is completely hilarious!!! Also they throw the warm sand on their backs. They also make loud noises and "sneeze" when sand gets in the way of their breathing.
After the elephant seals we drove through the mountians. Tall, majestic, beautiful mountains that after sitting and looking at for a short while, I slept through... Waking up at six, spending hours walking all over Hearst Castle does make one tired. There is one thing I will say about majestic mountain roads, make certain that you use the facilities ever opportunity you get because there can be very, very, very long stretches of road between breaks and if you really, really, really need to do something and the pressure is mounting... Well, there aren't even a lot of bushes nearby as the ground goes sharply up and down right beside the road and the road itself is not wide and there is almost no where to pull over. Just so you know that way some one can profit by my experience. Not that I attempted to use a bush or anything like that, instead we stopped at a fast food restaurant were important business was taken care of.
That brings us to this evening. We were going to go to my Uncle and Aunt's house but... Mom was tired so we checked into an Embassy Suites. After that, since we were in Monterey California, we went out to the bay area and ate a sea food restaurant overlooking the bay. We could here the seals, not elephant seals, making their barking noises while we ate. It was a delicious dinner. Currently I am in the hotel room and I have been writing this post for some time. I think I'll start doing something else now.
I had a delightful time at the Massatts. I got to see several hypercard games. I got to make an extremely humorous random story that I will probably post at the end of this. I received a beautiful paper mache sword and shield, both beautifully painted. I got to see a fencing demonstration. I got to play hangman. I received complements on my writing. I got to read several stories written by the Massatts. I got to meet Sarah Massatt's brothers and that was very pleasant too. I'm in the car right now having just left their house and my battery looks as though it is going to go out in a short while so I think I will need to close this post soon. Here is the Random Story that I and the Massatt siblings concocted. I did the code and typing and supplied many of the ideas and the Massatt's provided the rest of the ideas. The Massatt boy's names are Josh, Daniel, and David and there was great hilarity whenever one of their names showed up.

Yesterday was a very tiring day. I was at the booth for the entire convention, which was eight hours long. This morning I am not going to the convention due to excellent advertisement. Two different booths got the same great idea of having icecream in their booths to get people to come there. And did ti work... I got a delicious small Strawberry icecream cone from our competitor in the clamp making business. I only took a bite from the other ice cream but it didn't do me that well either. I am visiting the Massatts tomorrow evening so I really, really, really, want to be well. So today I'm resting and sleeping and I'll probably continue to do so until take down time since this is the last day of the convention.
I've been making great advances in the field of knitting.
