THE SCHOOLWORK OF DOOM, DESPAIR, AND DELIGHT IS HERE!!!

I was about to write a nice quiet and rational title when I decided that I wouldn't so I wrote the title you see and though some may consider that to be quiet and rational, I don't.

This morning a box arrived which I opened with eagerness about three hours after it's arrival when I finally decided that I should not ignore it any more. It's contents where examined closely and then I finally got to the point where I installed it on my computer. And in case you have no idea whatsoever what I am talking about, I am talking about Switched on Schoolhouse. The new Switched on Schoolhouse. The interface is slightly confusing but once you get used to it it is not bad. It is not particularly "quick and easy" but it could have been a LOT worse. Student Mode and Teacher Mode are now in two completely different programs, and if you want you can have them both open at the same time.

Having set up a student with all of the necessary schoolwork I started doing "Language" that being the cd that was currently in there as it was the last one I installed. So far it is has been relatively easy, I only missed one problem out of about thirty on the quiz, and I've done about four lessons. Hopefully the whole course won't take too long. And hopefully I will retain at least a particle of what I've learned. Oh, did you know that the word "jargon" comes from an old french word which means the "chattering of birds"? That is one piece of interesting knowledge I will probably retain. At the moment I seem to be primarily writing in words of more than one syllable. Or perhaps not. I suppose I am attempting to raise my level of competence with the English language to such a lofty altitude that I shall have no difficulty whatsoever in completing eleventh grade language.

Cross Stitch based in fact

Dec 31 dress.bmp

The above cross stitch design is based on the dress I just made, with myself modeling. Until I get a picture of the dress this chart will have to do to show how it looks. It should be fun to cross stitch.

Today was a busy day

To begin with I had breakfast, which isn't unusual. Having stayed awake late last night I spent the morning napping and then after lunch I started sewing and cutting out a sort of elvish gown. Before completing it I and Mom left to go to, you guessed it, Walmart to buy some combination locks. I bought four DVD's for $0.88 each at Walmart and I got a new watch too! At home I finished sewing my dress, and personally I think it is quite impressive. It is a black dress, fairly simple, but it has long flowing white lace sleeves that reach to the floor and are quite interesting. Then I have a white and gold trim around the top which really enhances the gown. Hopefully soon I will do a movie and feature the gown. It has a very long train.

This evening we went to the YMCA and tested it. I was rather tired when we came back but it wasn't too bad there and it was a whole lot better than walking around our neighborhood. So I've had a pretty busy day and now I'm tired. My new dress is very nice in my opinion. I think it's a bit Elvish, like something Arwen would have worn in the Lord of the Rings movie. It definitely isn't bad for a dress with a net total of $7.00 for the materials to make it. I tried a new design with the dress and it turned out very well, though I can see places for improvements and I'll probably do another dress soon and use my newly acquired knowledge to improve the design.

I can't get to sleep right now...

Which is bothersome as I will need to get up and be active in a few hours. It is currently 3:34. Normally I try to be asleep by midnight. And the completely ridiculous thing about my being awake right now is that I stopped using my computer and started trying to go to sleep around ten... Apparently I'm not very tired this evening/morning. I think I may be a bit hungry.

Well, SCHOOLWORK OF DOOM is approaching rapidly. Monday, if not sooner or later, I will start on the eleventh grade. I'm pretty sure it's eleventh grade since I know I never finished tenth or ninth... Getting school work done is not exactly my strong point. I dislike in the extreme the subjects of Math and Science. Which is why I think I probably ought to start with those two subjects and leave the fun of history and the potential fun and torture of language for later. The school work I will be doing is Switched on Schoolhouse and despite the fact that I don't like doing school work, I feel as though I can highly recommend Switched on Schoolhouse. It is a computer program which is relatively inexpensive as far as complete home school courses go. It is quite easy to use and requires minimum teacher participation. You do need to know how to read as there is a LOT of reading and then you answer questions etc. It can teach ethics very well because if a student does hack into teacher mode they can easily give themselves very high grades by looking up the answers or just marking the questions correct... Um, I suppose in order to clarify that last sentence I should say that the student should NOT do that. Teachers can set passwords to prevent anyone else going into teacher mode. My Mom set the word "eyeball" as the password. And no, I did not figure that out on my own, Mom told me after the computer crashed I think...

Now as Switched on Schoolhouse doesn't work on my Mac I will be using Arwen, my Pc laptop, a lot. Arwen is the computer that has my cross stitch design program on it and for some reason I think that some new cross stitch designs will be forthcoming...

Monday will also be interesting as I think Mom is planning to start going to the YMCA to use their exercise equipment. We went there tonight to see what it was like, and the entry fees etc. and though we didn't sign up then, we did get an application form to fill out. It was really nice there, and note that I have not exercised there yet. They have lots of exercise machines, drinking fountains, classes, friendly staff, and the height of civilization, indoor plumbing. AND to top it all off, they have a Subway right beside the exercise area so if you get hungry or you feel you are getting too thin, you can just go over and get a subway sandwich or two. I will definitely charge the Ipod of DOOM, and probably my PDP too, so that I will have entertainment as I exercise.

I'm beginning to feel a bit sleepy, which is good as it is now almost FOUR in the morning, which is quite a bit later than I usually stay awake, and as we will be having breakfast in about three to four hours I hope I'll be able to get to sleep soon.

Oh, and guess where I went today? Other than to the YMCA. I went to WALMART!!! And Target as well. At Walmart I bought some black fabric and some white lace and I think I'm going to make an "interesting" gown combining the two. I've been think carefully through the details and the dress has high potential to be "interesting". If the dress turns out all right I'll probably do a quick movie to show it off. But of course, I may not even end up sewing it.

So any case, I suppose I ought to end this post and attempt to get some sleep. Which I think is what I am going to do. So, THE END

I like making Princesses:)

Dec 28 small princess.jpg

Or at least, I like making cross stitch charts with princesses on them:) I'm having fun on this computer so that I have some fond memories of it before I start doing school on it.

Posted by Elizabeth at 06:28 PM | Comments (0)

This sounds like an interesting build up...

Long ago a beautiful young princess was born the only child and heir to a prosperous and wealthy kingdom. However he father was killed in battle but for many years her mother continued ruling. But then in a tragic illness the queen died and the young inexperienced princess was placed on the throne. For a while she ruled well but she knew the kingdom needed a king and finally she accepted the advances of a young and wealthy nobleman. Many promises he made to her, and within a few years after their marriage he broke them all, except for the one that he would be the king and her lord and master. However before all of this had taken place, but enough had happened for the queen to see the shadow of the future, a child was born, once again a princess and once again, an only child. At the christening a fairy asked the queen what gift she would choose for the princess to have and the sorrowing queen said, "I would that she would keep her promises". So it was the fairy gave the child the gift that no matter what, she would keep her promises. However none there at the time knew what serious consequences would follow from this gift.

That might make a good opening for a story, or perhaps a plot opener. At any-rate, with the exception of a few scattered ideas, that is about all there is of the story. There may be more eventually and then again there may not, but I'm quite sure it will all end happily. Hopefully.

Pictures of and from Hawaii

Now the following pictures have been taken with my very small low quality camera which explaines why there are somewhat, um, not high quality. I hope you enjoy seeing a tiny glimps of what I saw in Hawaii.

I just spent the afternoon playiing around with Arwen

Dec 28th cross stitch princess.bmp

And as you can see, I have a new cross stitch design. I used a different process to get this design than I've done before. Mainly I'm just putting this up here so I can print it off so I can cross stitch it.

This is not a paid advertisement for Walmart

What did I do when I went to Hawaii? I went to Walmart. What did I do when I came home? I went to Walmart. And in case you can't tell I have just returned to Walmart where I purchased two Dvd's, two necklaces, and the materials for two medieval/fantasy dresses all with one twenty-dollar bill. I very much like Walmart, and they now have a dollar DVD section! One of the necklaces is a very pretty locket and the other has a large blue stone and they were on sale for $2.50 each. Then I bought eleven and a half yards of fabric in total for one dollar a yard. I got three different fabrics, a really thin sheer pink, then a solid pink, and then a royal blue/purple satiny/silky type fabric. I plan to use the two pinks together on one dress and then use the other fabric for a colonial type ball gown with some white lace that I have. I don't think I'll wrap it all up though since the two necklaces are already in nice looking gift boxes. So it was a very nice trip to Walmart. The End and they all lived happily ever after.

I'm home again!

We arrived home to find that in our absence the heater had stopped working. Now coming from Hawaii where it was very warm to our house which was very cold was quite a shock. Fortunately about twenty-two or three years ago when my Dad built the house he installed a "woodstove" heater which still functions occasionally whenever somebody bothers to put wood and a lighted match into it which is seldom. But despite the fact that the "woodstove" heater has been raging since we got back my room is still a little bit cold. But my computer is keeping part of me warm...

I just have been reading the comics and I noticed one where the main character posts their Christmas wish list on the refrigerator for the rest of the family to see, and the all mention that they have all done their Christmas shopping. There are some advantages to writing wish lists early.

Now, for an update on my brothers. Daniel: Have received five dollars worth of internet connection while gone but I'm not sure that was a Christmas present. John: He says he has one for me but I haven't gotten it yet. Andrew: Admits he didn't get one for me.

So you know what I think I'm going to do? I think I'm going to try going shopping in the after Christmas sales at Walmart and Toys R Us and buy myself a few toys to wrap up and have a special Christmas party for myself since I do miss opening wrapped presents, although the Cruise was a GREAT Christmas present which couldn't be wrapped. So I suppose I'm not totally without Christmas presents, I got a cruise and some souvenirs from Hawaii from my parents and a check for fifty dollars from one Grandmother and a yet unopened present from my other Grandmother. And that is why I think I'm going to buy myself a few Christmas presents, probably with the fifty dollars from my Grandmother:) But considering the state of my room... Well, I suppose having a lot of stuff in it means less room for cold air.

And speaking of cold air I am not particularly feeling healthy due to the amount of forbidden food I consumed on the cruise. I should be feeling healthy again soon but right now it is rather fun just lying down in bed and using my computer. (Insert contented sigh) I could almost be on the cruise again... Only then I was watching movies on the state room TV. So Happy holidays for what's left of them.

Merry Christmas of 2004!

I just remembered I haven't said Merry Christmas yet so I say so now. If you want to read the posts about my trip to Hawaii in order keep looking until you find a post starting with a 1. then read them in numerical order. This saved time and confusion for me. I hope you enjoy reading the extremely informative post about the Menehunes and coming up soon should be a post about the nose of the great Sphinx. So Merry Christmas!

I saw some cute little penguins about an hour ago

We are staying at the Hilton Hotel and they have a small "Zoo" where you can look at a variety of fish, turtles, and penguins. The penguins are very cute looking and they swim around and eat and look at you and just stand there and climb around etc. It was fun seeing them. Soon, probably within the next thirty-six hours I will be home!!!

Apparently while the cats away the rats will play...

So I am currently using my precious internet time to delete the comments on my website which are "spam", "junk", "trash", etc. So after that I will probably do something else. I had about five hundred or so spam posts... Currently I've deleted about two hundred. So I just thought I would write a post about it.

19. I am now off the boat

I am currently in the car and the luggage is being loaded in. We have a lot of luggage as Mom purchased quite a bit of additional luggage. I am not particularly feeling well this morning. I think I will probably be sick for a day or two at home. Too much sugar etc... So we are now back in Honolulu. I'm not quite sure what we are going to do today but I hope we can spend some time in the hotel room we will get this afternoon and until then, I hope we do a lot of driving as I'm quite tired and I get to rest when we are driving. The luggage is pretty much loaded, and Mom has just documented it with a photograph. Currently there is discussion as to the next course of action.

I have a different carry-on pair this time, my purse and my small suitcase. I found out that I can actually put my laptop into my purse as I have a small laptop and a large purse. So as I have not much more to say at present being tired and sleepy and everything else which consuming way to much sugar etc can bring about.

18. I got to ride in a Helicopter and a Golf cart

It is now Friday, the last full day of the cruise. This morning we went ashore and my Dad located a helicopter tour. It was great!!! We rode for two hours in the helicopter, with one quick refueling break where we got to ride a golf cart around the air port for a bit while the helicopter had fuel added to it. We got to see waterfalls, lava flowing, trees, and even pigs!!! The volcano was very impressive, we got to see red, or orange, hot lava, and some that was cooled down a bit though still flowing. I actually did take some pictures with my camera although the pictures will be, well, low quality, but I may still post them on here when I get home. I'll have to see what they look like as my digital camera will not connect to this computer.

Currently I am rather tired and not particularly feeling well. I have a good excuse for it though, Three vanilla ice cream cones... I finally discovered the location of the icecream place on the ship and well... They didn't have sugar free ice cream and I really enjoy eating ice cream cones and...

So this evening at some point I will need to pack up and be ready to leave the Norwegian Wind early tomorrow morning. Then it will be a very long flight back home and then... I CAN USE THE INTERNET AND CHECK MY EMAILS AGAIN!!! And of course, post:) I hope that the eighteen posts I have written so far will be enjoyable.

17. (dramatic and mournful music plays) It is the last day of the cruise

Though I will wake up one more morning on board today is the last full day i will have on board the ship. It is a rather sad thought.

16. The mystery of the Menehunes explained

As it is high time for an informative post I shall now write one. Now on the island of Kauai which is formed by one massive volcano, there once was a race of people called the Menehunes who were presumably very "short" or "vertically challenged" in todays vocabulary. Now, these people built a highly complex dam which would allow the tide to go in and out, but not the fish. They also built a stone irrigation system. Both of these were built of cut stone and also both are food related. Presumably when the Menehunes disappeared they went into one of the remote valleys of the island where the hand of modern man has never set foot.

Now in order to explain my theory on where the Menehunes went I shall first explain where I think they came from. Now if you will remember the Menehunes are supposedly very short, and also appear to be fond of food. Now who else is fond of food and short? Hobbits of course. Now the west has always had a great attraction to most of those from middle earth as supposedly the undying lands are in that direction. So eventually they sailed west. However some got blown off course and landed in the area now know as Africa and later became known as Pigmies. But the rest made it to America where some stayed later to resurface during World War Two as Gremlins. However as they continued to journey west they eventually found the Pacific Ocean, and I doubt they called it that as Pacific means peaceful. Building more boats they continued sailing west until they came to Hawaii and the island of Kauai where, as they were hungry of course, they built the before mentioned dam and irrigation system. As Hobbits are extremely quiet and quick at hiding it is entirely possible that they are still there, so long as the food doesn't run out. However some of them eventually departed from Hawaii after which they went to New Zealand which reminded them of Middle Earth. After waiting some time in New Zealand they eventually were able to play themselves in a recent movie that came out filmed in New Zealand.

So hopefully this has been interesting and informative and perhaps someday I shall explain what could have happened to the Sphinx's nose.

15. It is the afternoon of December 23, 2004

This morning I awakened early to the ring sound of a telephone ringing and was informed after picking up said telephone that it was time to go eat breakfast. After breakfast we got on board a small boat to go to the main land as there was no dock big enough for the cruise ship. As usual we got a rental car and I installed myself into the back seat. After watching the beautiful scenery go by for a while I finally settled down and went to sleep for a while. On awakening it was time to walk around a bit in some of the lovely scenery and then I settled down for another nap and then it was time for lunch where I had a meatball sandwich though not from subway. Then after yet another short nap we went back to the ship where I am currently writing this post. And as you are now up on current events I shall end this post.

14. It is Wednesday evening

We have just returned from a "shore excursion" where we rented a Mini Van and drove around the island. It was quite fun, especially going to Walmart and Hilo Hatti two spots where shopping was done. I got another Hawaiian dress, a telescope type thing that when you look into it you see a picture of the island, two necklaces, and a bracelet. So it was very nice:) Riding in the Mini van was nice too. We saw a waterfall and I got to feed some chickens at a museum. You could pay twenty-five cents and get a bag of feed and then go out and watch the chickens squabble over the stuff you threw. It was most entertaining for a quarter. I highly recommend your doing it should you have an opportunity.

As I got a DVD at Walmart I am looking forward to watch I will not at this time write more.

13. I have rediscovered the realm of Mordor

And I am not referring to my Dad's shop. I am referring to a certain room on this ship to which I have been going. And in this room are certain devices made for the torment of mankind. Actually there are two rooms, one has in it a device of great shock, it's called a scale. All though I hope it is off it said I weighed 148 pounds. :( Two days ago it said I weighed 146. The food on cruise ships is good and there is an abundance...

Which brings us to the dreary confines of the other room. A room full of exercising machinery of various jogging, walking, bicycle riding, and stair climbing types. Now my parents, or perhaps it was my brother John, got the "great" idea of going exercising in said room so... I've been exercising. One can get very sweaty in a very short period of time. I don't like getting hot and sweaty. But far be it from me to complain. After all if you take a horrible vacation the rest of your life will seem like a luxury cruise, if you are some one like Calvin's dad that is. As for me this has been a great vacation so far, with the exception of the exercising. And according to the machines I'm not in very good shape but quite frankly, I'm not Anorexic.

12. At home it is 2:34 on Wednesday but it is Tuesday here

I have been getting worse as the cruise progressed. At first I was very good at not watching the TV not eating too much white flour and sugar etc. I ate SIX deserts today. Four pieces of pineapple colada, a bit of raspberry pudding which I didn't like much, and chocolate ice cream. However they all were sugar free.

"Now it is a strange thing, but things that are good to have and days that are good to spend are soon told about and are not much to listen to while things that are uncomfortable, palpitating and even gruesome may make a good tale and take a deal of telling anyway." Um, you may be able to guess where that was from. But it does seem applicable in this case. I've had a wonderful time over these last few days and yet I don't really have very much to write about them. HOWEVER, I do have something that falls into the uncomfortable, palpitating and even gruesome category but I think I'll save that for another post as it will fit perfectly!

11. Yesterday I did not write a post

Today is Tuesday December 21, 2004. Yesterday I learned how to make a ribbon rose and folded towel animals that are really cute. In addition to this I used three or so exercise machines, one for bicycling, one for walking, and one for stair climbing. I got very tired.

Today I haven't done much more than wake up and since it is time for breakfast this will have to do for a post.

10. Be it known to you that a Munt-jack is a Japanese barking Deer

I have not written a post for some time, but I still have written more posts than I have days I've been away so I'm currently alright. They have excellent ice cream on Norweigen cruises. I made a Kukui nut lea yesterday. Today we were supposed to go to Fanning Island but as we were eating an early breakfast an announcement came across the system and stated that due to adverse whether conditions we weren't going to go there. Or, it was more of a "if the weather permits we will go". However the whether did not permit so we did not go to Fanning Island. Or actually we did not set foot on Fanning Island however we did see it and where in its waters. So today was a very quite day. I watched an episode of I love Lucy and I mainly just slept, rested, and cross stitched today. Only five days until Christmas!

9. I just made a beaded Geko

It is still Saturday and I just went up to the observation lounge for a beading class. I made a very cute little beaded Gecko with pink and yellow beads and brown eyes.I met two nice ladies that I sat with at the class. They were the mother and grandmother of a fourteen year old girl named Tori who wasn't at the class but I may get to meet her later. Right now I am going to go get something to eat and I may take my little Gekko with me.

8. I think I am getting used to the time zone here

It is now the morning of Saturday December 18th. I am about to go to breakfast with Mom and Dad. I didn't wake up quite so early this morning. Last night we went to dinner at the four seasons restaurant and our water was very nice. I had fish and I liked it to some extant. I also had vanilla icecream and some sort of cakeish thing. Apparently every other day I'm eating two desserts.

I started writing a story shortly after the previous post. Currently it is in story/plot mode where I hope to get the story down, and then polish up what needs it or perhaps write it in book form. I'm not exactly sure where it is going to go from the point I wrote it to but I'm very interested. I suppose it does have it's advantages to write a story that even you don't know the end of, it definitely keeps me interested in finishing it! But first to breakfast and then I shall see how this day will pass.

7. It is the afternoon of Friday December Seventeenth

Today has been, interesting. I woke up early as usual having gone to bed early as usual despite the fact that I hadn't watched all of the Return of the King. As it was too early for breakfast I continued watching Return of the King and then Mom and Dad called and I found out that my clock battery was Dad and I could have eaten breakfast two hours ago. So I went to eat breakfast with them. After breakfast we made our way back to the rooms and I forget the exact procedure of events. Or actually I remember now. I finished breakfast before Mom and Dad did and I then proceeded back to my room to continue doing what I had been doing before. Around nine thirty this time Mom wanted to look at the shop specials so we went and looked at them. I've seen better shops and this is definitely not an advertisement, paid or otherwise, for the shops on board the Norwegian Wind. After the shops, and after excessive hinting, I went to Mom and Dads room and brought my computer as well as the extended edition of Return of the King. Mom downloaded pictures and Dad and I watched the first disc of the movie, with me using the skip and fast forward buttons as I do not like Gollum or Arwen. You know, not that many people would pick Gollum and Arwen together as their least favorite characters. I just don't like the story line thing they put in for Arwen. It's not in the book although I realize they put it in because Arwen is not a major character and is hardly in the story at all except at the end where she marries Aragorn.

But let me cease from this talk about the characters of the movie. After watching most of Disc One we went for lunch in the four seasons restaurant and I had some delicious cream of carrot soup. After that I went back to my room and took a nap. On awakening from my slumber I watched Bugs Bunny cartoons and then feeling the manifestations of hunger within me I traveled from hence to the Buffet where sandwiches of many varieties awaited my consumption. When my hunger was satisfied I returned hence and decided that a post must be written and... I started writing it! So now I'm caught up on current events. Probably later Dad and I will watch Disc Two of the movie. I've almost finished cross stitch a picture of a dragon holding a teddy bear. It should be quite cute when it is done.

So far other than writing these posts I haven't done any other writing on this trip. I hope to remedy that soon. Hopefully when I return I will have a fairly good story written. However first there are some Daffy Duck cartoons that are requiring my attention...

6. The Quest is Over...

I now have the object of my long quest. There is an old saying that "Third Times the Charm" and on my third trip to Walmart since coming to Hawaii I got The Return of the King. I can hardly wait to watch it. So if you are wonder what I did in Hawaii I went to Walmart.

On getting to the island which we are currently at, which is the main island, we rented a Mini Van from Hertz(this is not a paid advertisement for Hertz, or for Mini Vans either) and then we went directly to Walmart where I went directly to the DVD section and got an Extended edition of the Return of the King into my clutches as quickly as I possibly could.

After Walmart, where I also got some snacks as I was hungry since it had been over an hour since breakfast, we wento the Volcano park and looked at lava. Now, riding around in a Mini Van isn't very adventurous but riding around in a mini van with both sliding doors open looking at a volcano spewing out lave is rather adventurous. Since everybody but me has cameras with them and is taking pictures I sat in the middle seat and just enjoyed my self. We mainly had the doors open to take pictures out of them without stopping the car. I think that inbetween everybody at least a thousand pictures a day are taken. I believe that God should be sincerely thanked for digital cameras.

The volcano area was really neat. We walked on now cooled lava and drove along a road built on top of it. And then we returned to the ship after several hours of volcanoing. Which is currently were we are at now and it is about time to go eat again.

Today I discovered something. My Dad thinks that for a certain fact I have something called "Hyper Glycimia" though I may have the spelling wrong. I do think I have all of the symptons. I have to eat every few hours and if I eat sugar it has a very negative effect on me. Fortunately I think I also have a high metabolism rate because though I eat plenty and often I'm not particularly fat.

This evening/afternoon I have the delightful prospect of watching things before me as I also got two disc of cartoons. But one thing I am really going to watch, probably, is the parts of the movie with Farimir and Eowyn. The parts with the two of them in the book were probably my favorite of the whole book. After all that each had gone through, and after all I had gone through in the book it was very nice to have a "romantic" bit of the book. And in case you know nothing at all about Farimir and Eowyn, they got married and had the only romance in the book that was detailed from their first meeting to the wedding, or maybe it was just to the official betrothal but I'm pretty sure it made it to the wedding.

So now off to eat!

5. Insert Cool Title Here

It is a few hours since my last post. We went to Deck 12 for a breakfast buffet, It was very delicious but the restaurant was quite crowded. I now have a clock out set on Hawaiian time as my room did not have a clock in it. I just took a shower. I don't know whether it was because I didn't understand how the many and strange knobs worked or wether it was because the shower disliked me or whether because there is no hot water on the ship but I had a fairly cold shower. In fact I still feel cold from taking it.

We are about to dock on another one of the islands. It is the largest of the Hawaiian islands I think. We will probably go see a volcano. I'm hoping we get to go to Walmart or something as my quest for the extended edition of the Return of the King is far from over.

So far what I've seen of the ship is nice. The crew etc. are friendly. I will probably do more exploration later as I have not yet seen much of the ship. I especially want to investigate the ice cream bar... It probably isn't free though. It might be though... And that would be nice!

4. Thursday the Sixteenth, early in the morning

Or actually at home it is 11:42 but here it is a bit earlier. I have a very pretty stateroom, though it is fairly small and crowded. I have two portholes and though the curtain is drawn over them I can see the faint light of morning. I'm fairly hungry too.

I believe I have neglected to mention that at Walmart I got a Hawaiian dress which is bright yellow with huge sunflowers. Mom got one just like it and the boys all got Hawaiian shirts. We wore them to dinner last night. It was a good dinner. I had a caesar salad and some delicious tortolini and TWO desserts though I didn't eat all of them. I had butter pecan ice cream and a chocolate brownie. They were sugar free though of course.

My mother just called to say that it is time for breakfast in fifteen minutes. I am very hungry so I will probably end this post and get read for breakfast.

3. I have been to Walmart Twice since the last post and I am now on the cruise ship

Shortly after writing the previous post Mom Dad and I went to Walmart. It seems like ages since then. It was dark out. Investigation of Walmart produced a very full shopping cart. I got some embroidery thread and plastic canvas. They were out of stock of the DVD I had wanted to buy. I am not writing this post in the most pleasant and cheerful spirits. I'm hot, tired, and sleepy so probably later I'll write a very cheerful post once being on the cruise ship has cheered me up.

After Walmart we returned to the hotel and had a very delicious breakfast buffet with the boys. I ate quite a lot. They had very good cantaloupe.

Then we drove to Diamond Head, a mountain something. On the very top they have somebody with a table of documents that said "I made it to the top of Diamond Head and survived". At the time I wonder whether I would make it to the bottom of Diamond head as it was a long hike up to the top. There was a stair and then a dark tunnel. Read along towards the end of "The Two Towers" for what I was thinking about during the end of the climb. It was a long way up and then down and my legs are still tired.

Then, after Diamond Head, we rode around in our rental vehicle for a while. We saw some large waves and ate at Subway. Then we went back to Walmart with my brothers. After that we went to the hotel and got our luggage, made it to the cruise ship and now we are on it after checking in. On boarding the ship we were given lovely leas and the boys were given shell necklaces. It will soon be time for our life jacket drill. Which means that I will need to end this post. I'll probably write another one later. Mom is currently in my room as Dad has not checked in yet and due to the fact that I am under eighteen I "can't" officially have a room by myself. However Mommy is going to be in Dad's room.

End of Post and I'll write another when I'm not so tired and when I'm cheerful.

2. Hawaii has a lot more tall buildings than Charlotte

I'm sitting out on our hotel balcony. We are on the thirty-third floor I think and the bilding still goes up above us. Everywhere you look at this early morning hour you cansee lights and buildings. Below is a parking lot, I think, as well as some main roads.

And the best news of all is, since we are wide awake and the sun is down we are going to WALMART!!! And I really wanted to go to Walmart. It's about 10:39 at home though it isnly five thirty here. Walmart opens at six so we still have some time yet.

The climate here is very lovely, at least up here on the balcony at five in the morning, There is no chill in the air, it is pleasant and warm and balmy. The array of lights is really quite spectacular. I did not bring my video camera with me though so I am afraid there won't be a picture of it up here. However I have a feeling that other members of my family will take pictures, and then I may be able to borrow one of them. Yes, perhaps we can my precious.

As you can see I'm doing very well currently with writing posts about my doings. Of course this could slacken off but so far I am enjoying Hawaii though I rather dread having to hike up mountains to see volcaneous and dive into submarians... However we may take the bus up to the volcano. I think my brothers will probably be doing more of the adventureous stuff on their own fortunately. I intend to enjoy the ship, and enjoy WALMART!!! And to that lovely destination I should shortly be going to.

1. It was a long flight yesterday and now I am in Hawaii

I suppose you may be wondering why I have a number in the subject area. On previous trips I've had some trouble in figuring out which order to post my draft post that I'd written while away on the trip. here fore in a stroke of genious I have decided to use numbers!

According to my computer it is currently 8:28 on Wednesday. Here it is something like two in the morning. I woke up but my parents are still asleep so I thought this would be a good time to write a post.

Yesterday morning around ten we left for the airport. Despite the fact that I had about three embroidery needles with me and a pair of fingernail clippers I got through without a hitch. I had snesibilly packed my scissors in a carry on bag.

And speaking of carry on bags I tried to pack entirely carry on. Which I did to some extent. I have a very full small suitcase and a very full back pack. The suitcase is just clothes, nothing else, and the back pack is everything else. Like my computer, phone, purse(you can only have two carry-on items so I packed my purse in my back pack) cross stitch things, and of course, a teddy bear. Though i didn't pack Polly who has been my "favorite toy since kindergarten". As she is getting quite old in years I thought I would leave her at home, especially since the little tiny purple bear I brought was much smaller and space was a great issue.

We got to the airport and managed to get on the airplane bound for Houston without much trouble. I slept through most of the flight, and then towards the end I used one of my approved electronic devices and watched a Charlie Chaplin episode. Silent movies are the best for airplanes. Beacasue then everybody around you can watch it, you don't have to have captions and, I can't think of another reason at this time.

In Houston, even though we only had about a forty-five minute layover, Dad said that we couldn't miss out eating at a certain Barbecue place. I ate at McDonalds. We did make it to the plane for the final boarding call though.

And what a plane it was! HUGE although not so huge as the halls of of some places I've been in or read about. We sat on row forty-one if I remember correctly. They had these little monitor screens in front of you, which was very nice. You could play games, watch movies, listen to music, ect. All though since we were flying continental you did have to spend five dollars for a pair of headphones unless you were like me and had a pair in your back pack. Snow White and seven Dwarfs was on as well as a Movie called "Elf" that was greatly enjoyed by my respective family.

After an eight hour flight, which seemed to stretch to infinity, we arrived in Hawaii. My one thought, as it was now two or something in the morning our time and I had woken up at six so iI could use the (sniff) internet for the last time in a while, I wanted to go to our hotel room and go to bed. And gues what we did! We went to our hotel room and went to bed!

It is a very nice hotel room. The beds are very comfortable and I paln on going and enjoying them again as soon as I finish typing this post.

Today, or to be more specific, this afternoon we get on board the ship. I believe we are going sight seeing today and I really hope to stop at Walmart. There is something I want to buy there that wasn't available for purchase before today. Pluss I would like to buy some more embroidery thread. It is remarkable how much embroidery thread can be used during a six hour flight.

So any rate I think I've mentioned about everything so far. Other than the fact that we are staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. So now I think I'll go back to sleep because... Well, nobody else is up and I'm hungry and If I go to sleep I may forget that I am hungry and also speed closer the time that I shall go to Walmart.

The End of this First post written while traveling on the Hawaii Journey.

INTERNET AGAIN AND I'M NOT EVEN HOME!!!

Oh joy, oh rapture, I'm sitting at a Hilton Hotel and I have internet acess and you can be sure I'm going to use it! So first I will post all of my posts in order and then... The internet I will use.

Farewell I call to Hearth and Hall, And Hello I call to Hawaii and Cruise Ships though this doesn't go with the previous line if you know what I mean which I doubt

Though really we don't have much of a hearth, or a hall either... At anyrate in just a few hours I will be leaving home to go to the airport. From the airport I will probably be getting onto an airplane and then... Eventually I should end up on a cruise ship in Hawaii. I will be gone for quite some time but I should be returning on the Twenty-Sixth of this month. So there probably won't be any posts between now and then.

If you get really desperate for my writings you can always read the archives. In fact I recommend reading the archives. You never know what stories of great interest you may come across. Oh, and this may I took a cruise. You might enjoy reading the May archives as I wrote posts during the cruise and then posted them when I got home. I think there were a few stories in there...

Oh, and in case you don't know what to do with all of the strange princess chart things I've posted I'll tell you. Go to Walmart or a craft store (this is not a paid advertisement for Walmart or craft stores) and get some plastic canvas and yarn. You should have one color of yarn for each color on the chart, and feel free to substitute any color you wish for a color I selected. Then you carefully count how many rows across and up and down on the chart. Then you cut a piece of plastic canvas big enough to put the design on. Then you carefully make an X in each of the squares corresponding to the design in the chart. I suppose this is not a very good beginners cross stitch/plastic canvas guide but... You may be able to figure it out. At anyrate, as I am assuming that you have internet connection, you can probably find a nice detailed cross stitch guide somewhere on the web. My charts are very nice and simple in comparison to most, plus they're free! And though they are the only free cross stitch charts on the web they're... Well, I designed them.

So anyrate, Goodbye until I post again! Which could be this morning as I am leaving within the next few minutes.

Tomorrow Morning I leave for Hawaii

As I am leaving somewhat ealry in the morning I'm going to write a fairwell post now in case I don't get a chance to write another one later. I will be getting back on the Twenty-Sixth and I will hopefully have a lot of interesting posts to post on here. Actually as I am watching a very exciting Roy Rogers movie I don't think I'm going to write a very long post here at this time. Probably tomorrow I may have more eloquence to outpour.

Two Cross Stitch Princess

Dec 13 Princess 1.jpg

The above chart I did from stratch. No picture no nothing. The chart below I started out using a picture for but then scraped it and did my own design. I can't wait to see how they look in cross stitch.

Princess Dec 13 2.jpg

And in case you don't know, I'm going on a cruise to Hawaii and considering the amount of flying I'm going to be doing to get there I thought it would be nice to have some more cross stitch charts to cross stitch.

The Three Elizabeths Movie is Here

Enjoy!
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
Part Four
Part Five
Part Six

I hope you appreciate the huge amount of effort it took to put this up here as problem after problem was encountered in the compression and splitting up of this movie and it took about as much time to get it on here as it did to video edit it! Oh, and if you know me in person be sure to ask to see the uncompressed and uncut version, if you have any interest in seeing it that is, as I did have to cut some of the movie out.

Posted by Elizabeth at 09:09 PM | Comments (2)

The Movie is DONE!!!

So now I have a lovely long movie. However I will have to dissect and rearrange it to fit on here. Hopefully it will be enjoyed. It is six minutes and twenty four seconds long. It has Sixty Five shots not including text. So it isn't too pathetic:) I've definitely been posting a lot lately.

Posted by Elizabeth at 07:41 PM | Comments (0) | TrackBack

Basic Editing is done

I'm surprised, the movie is only five minutes and twenty six seconds long. It was quite a lot of work for five minutes and twenty six seconds though. I'm probably going to add in some sound effects and music, though maybe not, and edit things a bit and then it will be done. Hopefully. You'll probably see a post of it up this evening.

Fifteen Minutes and Twelve Seconds of Footage

Is what I have just downloaded onto my camera. It will be interesting to see how long this movie is. I don't think it will be longer than ten minutes as I had to do several takes on some of the shots. I'm not the best of actresses and I normally don't bother to memorise my lines... Now to edit!!!

Posted by Elizabeth at 04:34 PM | Comments (0) | TrackBack

The script has been written and the raw footage has been shot

I am in the process of making a movie. I have many minutes worth of footage shot. It should be a fairly interesting movie. Though I'm afraid it isn't very humourous. I wasn't writing for humor. I'm probably going use Star Wars music for the back ground. Currently the footage is being downloaded into my computer. Then I will need to edit it. That will probably take a while has I may have about fifty shots or so in the movie. It may even be about ten minutes long!!! I play four different parts in this movie. Sw1, Sw2, LOTR, and Me, Me is of course myself as I, Elizabeth Von Fange take part in this movie. I wrote a six page script for it.

Prince Farthel

I don't know why I thought Prince Farthel would be a good name for a prince but... Here is the short story I worte about him.

Once upon a time there was a handsome prince named Farthel. He had three older brothers and three younger ones so you could very truthfully say that he was normally in the middle of things. One day his father called all of his sons together and told them, "My sons, As you know I am approaching old age as unlike your mother I am not staying the same age every birthday. Now it is a custom in this land to give the throne, not to the oldest prince, but to the most worthy and deserving. Therefore..." The king paused for a moment to catch his breath and all seven princes, including Farthel, quickly made mention of their worthiness and deservingness and the faults of their brothers. This was all the more fervent because it was known the the fair and beautiful princess Elainia was to be the bride of new king. Finally the king felt as though it was time for his speech to resume so without waiting for his sons to cease their babble he continued, "Therefore I have decided upon a test which, despite it's lacking in originality, may prove which of you ought to be king. I want you to bring to me, at the end of one months time, one thing that you think will aid you more than anything else to rule the kingdom. Then I shall judge the things you bring and shall decide which of you shall be the new king."
The month passed and on that particular day at that particular time five brothers stood before the king. The other two, including Farthel and his youngest brother, were late. The eldest brother had a mighty sword of great renown. The second eldest had a book of wisdom and lore. The third eldest had a parrot that squawked things, is was common knowledge that the third eldest had not the brains of the rest of his brothers. The fifth eldest had gold with him. The sixth eldest also had a sword, and was rather upset when he saw that his oldest brother had one too. And just as the king was looking over the items the youngest brother came rushing in and in his hand was a clock. As this brother was normally at least a half hour late for any appointment the choice of a clock was appropriate. Now none of these items really surprised the king as he had already guessed most of them. However the king was surprised at Farthel's lateness as usually he was early. But he knew that the day after he had made the announcement Farthel had ridden from the kingdom and had not since then been seen but still, he usually was early.
But before any serious worrying could go on Farthel came in. And all six of his brothers, and his father, couldn't help staring at the thing he had brought with him. Indeed it was immediately decided by the king and all six of his brother that Farthel had chosen to bring the thing that would indeed aid him more than anything else in ruling the kingdom. For Farthel had brought with him the lovely and beautiful Princess Elainia. So Farthel was made king and he and Elainia ruled happily together until the end of their days. THE END

More Cross Stitch Charts

I felt like designing a few more cross stitch charts this evening. These two charts are what happened.
dec11princess1 copy.jpg
Butterfly Cross Stitch Pattern.jpg

Just in case you are wondering why I'm posting all of these cross stitch charts I'll tell you. I have two laptops, Arwen who is a PC laptop and Lady who is a mac. The PC is not able to print and the Mac is. Now I can only use the cross stitch program on my PC and not on my MAC therefore the charts are on my Pc which I can't print from, as of yet. So I am posting them on here so I can print them off from my website on my Mac. I've been seriously considering renaming my Mac laptop Galadrial. My previous Mac laptop was Eowyn.

Oh, and while I'm posting charts I think I'll post these two I made earlier. One is a smaller version of the other.

December 10, 2004

Preparations for the trip are well underway

I'm already somewhat packed! Normally I wait to get ready until the day before a trip, or maybe the day before the day before. Here it is the day before the day before the day before the day before the day of the trip and I've almost finished packing my suitcase. I've made the all important decision of which suitcase to bring, which clothes etc. I am going to try and "pack light" and do the entire trip with only carry on luggage. Note the lovely itallics in the previous sentance. I still have one or two things to add to my suitcase however some of them need to be washed and others of them still havne't been bought at Walmart yet...

Now the suitcase I packed today was the easy part. The difficult part will probably be addressed tomorow. You see, the suitcase I just packed is just for clothes. I still have to pack my computer, my purse, my PDP and DVD's, many and miscleanious ariticles etc. in some sort of carry on bag to go with the little rolling suitcase. Fortunately I'm fairly good at stuffing things... But still, it's going to be a tight squeeze. Especially as I want to bring some of my cross stitch with me to cross stitch on. I just cross stitched one of my designs. It was the one of the princess or lady. It looks fairly nice I think.

So, on Tuesday I leave for the cruise. It should be very fun. And hopefully I will remember to write a post everyday, I'll probably make a checklist of things to do each day before I go. At anyrate, I think this is enough a post for the present moment.

Cross Stitch Designs

first cross stitch design.jpg

The above chart is the first design I did in my new program. Feel free to use it should you have any craft that uses a chart like this.

Dec 9 princess cross stitch chart.jpg

This is the most recent chart I did. I think it looks quite good. In case you don't know the symbals stand for each color. If you should cross stitch or something this free chart(not my use of the word free. I'm hoping some one looking for free cross stitch patterns will come across my site), feel free to use different colors etc. Probably as soon as I finish cross stitching what I'm currently cross stitching I'm going to cross stitch one of these designs. It is really fun doing these designs!

I must admit that I did some "borrowing" on the last design. You see you can import a picture into the cross stitch program and then it will change it into cross stitch. I had found a website with "dollz" I think there called. As it was a freebie anybody could put on their site I didn't think whoever made it would mind if I used it as a base for a cross stitch pattern. However I have changed it greatly, and I mean greatly!!! There fore as I am not using this to make money and merely to learn the program... I don't see anything unethical about it at the moment.

So far this month I've had 62 unique visitors

It is very enjoyable looking at my website statistics:) In fact, so far today I've had 6 visits to my website:) Remarkable how having "Write a post on Bethjoy.com" on my today lists usually means a short post written in the morning. I think that soon it will be time for a new "About Me" page. As tonight is Thursday I may film another movie. You have now read an extremely short update because, apparently, I don't feel like writing anything else and I want to go play with my new cross stitch computer program, and finish up the cross stitch design I'm currently working on too.

Oh wow, Cross Stitch!

I just got a program that enables me to design my own cross stitch patterns!!! I just made one. If I can figure out how to put it on here I will for all of the rabid freebie cross stitch pattern seekers out there. It is a very nice program. It is called PM stitch creature v 2 or something like that. I bought it at Comp Usa for ten dollars. It has a nice easy interface and is very fun to design things in. Also you can import a picture and change it to cross stitch. There are tons of settings and ways to custimize. And as usual, this is not a paid advertisement.

Wednesday, December 8, 2004

You are very calmly reading a post on Bethjoy.com when suddenly you feel a strange prickly sensation on the back of your neck. Turning around you see several who say that they will you unless you tell them a fairy tale. Feeling your mind going blank all you can manage to say is...

" there was a who loved to sit by her window and . One day a rode by on his and saw her. Instantly falling in love he proceeded to and hope she would notice him favorably. On observing this the , though she felt as though her suitor was lacking in . But despite this and other things they got married and lived happily ever after. The End"

This seems to satisfy the who leave and let you go back to reading the wonderful writings of Bethjoy.com.

It's a lovely morning this morning...

And currently I am a bit sleepy. You know, having a checklist certainly improves the amount and earliness I get things done, if not the quality. Which I suppose is why, since I can't think of anything else to put on here, I think I'll post a piece of pure ridiculousness I wrote Monday. I have no idea as to whether or not I shall continue this tale, I may and then again I may not. It has potential for humor though I think...

"Tevla Arnan, you had better hurry, the guests will be arriving soon." Myla called up to her sister, who was busy reading a book comfortable snuggled up in a corner of a couch.
"All right, I'm coming." Tevla replied as she carefully placed a book mark in her book and then set it aside. Parties were not of any interest to her but this one she was making an effort for as it was a special welcome home party for her uncle Edmund Rarnar who was returning from a voyage to Lisan and would probably have great tales of adventure to tell.
Tevla quickly pulled out her party dress from her closet, it was a pale pink which looked lovely against her wavy brown hair and dark brown eyes. Tevla would have been considered the beauty of the family, if it hadn't been for her younger sister Myla who took more care about her appearance and always made sure that every single one of her blonde curls was in place and that her gowns were exactly the same shade of blue as her eyes. But though Myla spent several hours getting ready for a part and Tevla spent less than ten minutes they both looked equally beautiful as the came down stairs together to great the guests who were arriving.
As was usual, Uncle Edmund was late for like Tevla, he was not very fond of parties, except as an opportunity to tell his stories of adventure to a captive audience. The fact that the party was in his honor had no effect on his punctuality because as usual he showed up exactly a half hour late. Smilingly he kissed his older sister, who was Tevla's mother, shook hands with his brother in law, and then shook hands with his two nieces. It was considered remarkable by most that Tevla and her uncle were both the same age, twenty-one but as very large families and cases of marrying young were quite frequent in the land of Descar, no one took much notice. Indeed it took Edmund about ten minutes to shake hands with every single one of his relations, with the exception of about ten of them who were too young to be at the party, Then of course the guests had all to be greeted and then every one stood around for a moment of awkward silence before the butler informed them that dinner was served after being signaled by Mrs. Arnan several times.
Uncle Edmund being the guest of honor led Mrs. Arnan in while Mr. Arnan led Tevla in. Myla considered herself unfortunate by being led in by her grandfather Rarnar as she would have much preferred being led in by just about any single young man there. Myla was nineteen and extremely worried about being an old maid like her sister. Though indeed Tevla could hardly be considered an old maid.
Through out the whole meal Uncle Edmund spoke in a voice that could be heard throughout the whole table, thereby making all other conversation useless, about his adventures. He appeared to be addressing his remarks to Mrs. Arnan who was mainly concerned that every one had plenty to eat, but all listened in. Mrs. Arnan had place plenty of uncracked nuts on the table as she knew how fond her brother was of them. All though he hardly paused to eat them Edmund put the nuts to good use for in his description of an attack on their ship by pirates he cracked nuts at the exciting points. Indeed during his description of the cannon fire he even woke up Grandfather Rarnar who had dozed off right after the soup course.
There was a general feeling of relief when dinner had reached its conclusion. Now it was time for those who were not too full from eating, which was practically everybody as many parts of Uncle Edmund's stories had not been particularly appetizing, especially as Mrs. Arnan had used tomato sauce in just about all of the dishes, to begin the dancing part of the evening.
Uncle Edmund asked Tevla to dance, as was considered right and proper, and continued his discourse about his adventures. But unlike her mother Tevla was actually interested in his adventures and asked questions so well and listened so nicely that he asked her for the next dance, and the one after it and the after that. Now three dances in a row with the same young lady was considered a bit excessive unless you were engaged or married to her or about to be either, so he had to switch partners before asking Tevla again.
The evening closed rather early as Uncle Edmund showed signs of being able to speak loudly for several hours more and most of the relations and guests had chosen to leave early with bad headaches.

They do have a Walmart in Honolulu

As I am going to Hawaii this is important and vital information. I just looked it up on the Walmart website. It's on 700 Keeaumoku Street Honolul, HI 96814.

And so it is perfectly plain and clear, this is not a paid advertisement for Walmart. And quite frankly, I doubt it will ever be.

I have begun Cross Stitching again

And, of course, since Cross Stitching gets dull without something to go with it I watched DVD's for some of today. So I didn't get everything on my to do list checked off, but I got most of the important things. Writing I haven't done any of today, aside from this post, but oh well. Tomorrow is another day, with more cross stitching probably. I am sleepy and ready to crawl into bed therefore this will be a short post. My brother John was made a board member of the Piedmont Kennel Club this evening, I think... I may have the title mixed up. He didn't have a whole lot of competition, but I think even if there had been somebody else to vote for he still might have been able to get the position...

So good night or good morning or good afternoon or whatever it is where you are when you read this. A week from today I'll be in Hawaii! Though I probably will arrive there later on in the evening. Though I'm not quite sure...

The Sequel to The Christmas Newsletter is Writte, aside from a few edits

Apparently my Mother was trying to confine the newsletter into saying everything, and not taking up a lot of space therefore the newsletter was, well not very enjoyable and I didn't like what it said about me and my doings. BUT Mom apparently was unsatisfied with the news letter so she has just finished re writing it, aside from a few edits. I was just reading it. And I REALLY like it now. Just so you know I think I inherited my writing skills from Mom. Reading the newsletter reminded me a lot of several posts on Bethjoy.com... Only better of course:) The newsletter and not Bethjoy.com. Mom, I think, is going to read this post. Not that that has anything to do with the last few sentences of course... So Bethjoy.com is mentioned a tad bit more, as well as the fact that I have been doing a lot with writing and sewing this year and reading David Copperfield isn't even mentioned. Which since it was mentioned enough on here is quite nice. The newsletter is now quite humorous and pleasant and those of you who will be fortunate enough to read it are going to be in for a real treat. However I might be able to post it on Bethjoy.com. Maybe.

So anyrate, this is all the post I'm going to write at the moment.

Schedual or To Do List or Check List

I thought perhaps I might get more done if I wrote down a checklist of important things and then put it in an obvious place that way I would do things and then check things off. So far I think it's working fairly well, I'm writing this post so I can check "Write a Post on Bethjoy.com" off. Sadly I'm rather sleep this morning which means that I may not get much else checked off. But at least I've gotten a few things off the list. I'm not feeling very healthy and active this morning. And it is only eight days until we leave for the cruise!!! I can still hardly believe we are actually going. As I hope will be usual I shall try to write posts every day and hopefully I shall chronicle the cruise in a captivating conundrum. So any rate that is about it for a post for right now. Later I may write another one but for the present, I am going to check off something on my check list:)

On the subject of Cross Stitch

I do things in "Spurts" usually though some times the "Spurts" last for very long periods of time with short intervals, and at other times they last for short periods of times with medium intervals, and sometimes medium periods of time with long intervals... And I think you may be able to figure out what I'm trying to say. It has been quite a while since my last Cross Stitch spurt but with Christmas coming up small cross stitched items make very nice affordable hand made Christmas gifts that one can make while watching DVD's etc. So any rate as I really don't have very much else to say right now I thought I would mention Cross Stitch.

And for my brother John who seldom is mentioned on here I will say that last night he and a friend started a drive to Arkansas to pick up a piano. They should be getting back in a few hours and they'll probably be sleepy. Now John was scheduled to run camera tomorrow morning so it looks as though i will be running camera for two services. AND I was running camera for two services last Sunday... All though I don't really mind much but... It's camera two this Sunday. I prefer camera One vastly over camera two but... I'll be very nice and run camera two as that is what I'm on schedule for, or what John was on schedule for... And after the service there is going to be Christmas party for those who run camera and direct. Which should be fun:) Though I'll probably be rather tired by then as running camera is somewhat tiring so long as you are a lazy sixteen year old. And since I need to be up early tomorrow morning I had better end this post and go to sleep.

A post on technology

Well, in the early days of Bethjoy.com what was on here was merely posts about what I was doing and a few stories. Then I learned how to put pictures on. After that I learned how to write random stories. And now I am able to post videos!!! Isn't this exciting? What new thing will I learn to put on here? Perhaps it will even be the unlikely thing of Logical Reason and Sense Trala!!!

I am mainly posting this because I am extremely excited about being able to put videos on here! However this also means that I probably will start spending money on video camera tapes again... Movies do take a bit more effort than writing stories though. In some ways...

I hope that you enjoy the movies!

The Sequal to the movie I posted in the last post is now here!

Which means that you can now watch the sequal to the previous movie!!! As I didn't feel like compressing this one as I compressed the other one I made it in three different parts. It is about three minutes long in total. So enjoy watching it. And in case you need to know, in the previous movie I threw the Ring of Doom into the bottom of my closet. Apparently since I posted the movie on Bethjoy.com somebody learned that the ring was in my closet...

Watch Part One

Watch Part Two

Watch Part Three

A MOVIE ON HERE!!!

Okay, it's really, really, really short small and compressed but... It's on here! And that has been my accomplishment for the evening. Now what you are going to see on here is not the full actual movie. The actual movie I made is a full six minutes and twenty one seconds and is very funny. But to get something small enough to post on here I had to cut out practically five and a half minutes. So I think I know a little about how some directors feel when they have to cut their movies down. So if you know me personally be sure to ask to see the full movie, and just think of this as a trailer or something like that.

My brother John had a birthday...

And apparently on his birthday I did not mention the fact that it was his birthday. Now turning Twenty-Two is an immense accomplishment if you are a person like John therefore I ought to have mentioned it I suppose. But it didn't. But for those of you would like to know and wish him a happy birthday, it was on November the Twenty-ninth.

You know, it's really remarkable what can happen in the month of December. One is far more anxious not to offend ones brothers.

I hope you are impressed with the amount of ittalics I am using. Apparently I am entering an italic phase as it is some time since I used ( ) as much. I remember once I had about fourteen or more pairs of ( ) inside each other.

So any-rate the gist of this post is that I have a brother named John and he had a birthday a few days ago and I didn't mention it on here until now. And so that I don't forget to mention it, Andrew's birthday is February 21st and Daniel's is the 29th of June.

This is my 409th post!

I was just looking at my website manager and noticed that this post will be my 409th. If I remember to check I may do something special when it comes to my 500th post.

You know, there is a possibilty that I may be able to post movies on here which means that tonight I think I'll do a little bit of a movie and see if I can post it on here. Currently I am running over plot ideas. Mainly I would like to show off my sewing skills and costume resources which means that I will probably play several different characters. I'll see what happens...

A random story?

Once upon a time there was a supposedly rational squirrel who liked to jump off of cliffs, providing they were no more than three feet high. This supposedly rational squirrel, who was named Harvey, decided one day that he wanted to marry a beautiful princess and live happily ever after. But this was a problem to him as there was a great lack of beautiful princesses in the land. But undaunted by this he decided to seek through out the entire land until he found a beautiful princess to marry. So after eating two quarts of pistachio ice cream he set out on his quest. After much searching he found a lovely squirrel princess and immediately fell in love with her. But sadly she was imprisoned by the evil ferret king who thrived on squirrel stew and chocolate covered malt balls. Therefore the supposedly rational squirrel decided to trap the evil ferret king with a trap constructed of Twinkies and chocolate covered malt balls. The trap succeeded in trapping the evil ferret king but as he was happily much chocolate covered malt balls the supposedly rational squirrel couldn't get him to discuss ransom demands so in the end he just grabbed the beautiful squirrel princess and though she slapped him for it, he managed to rescue her in a very romantic way. So they got married and lived happily ever after.

Hawaii

I have a feeling that withen a few weeks I will know more of the far and distant state of Hawaii. And why do I think this? Well, for one thing Dad has booked a Hawaiian cruise and we will be leaving for it on the fourteenth. Therefore there will be a long period of time where I won't post. However before then I'll probably post a story I've written so that there will be something to read in that time. The cruise has been booked for a while but I don't think I've mentioned it before. But it ought to be fun. The cruise takes place on the Norwegian Wind. I probably will post more about this great event later on.
