To find out the answer, watch the movie!
She may not be that impressive, but she's a lot better than any previous attempt of mine in this department:) The white tabs are to be folded over the paper doll to keep the clothes on. Assuming you are printing her out.
I hope you enjoy her!
Since I had not done that in quite some time it was quite an interesting experience. Apparently you are supposed to wait until the Ipod has finished updating before unplugging it... And also apparently one isn't supposed to change what is going to be loaded onto the Ipod before it finishes updating either...
I'm a bit tired right now(I think I've said that a lot lately). I rode my bicycle some today. I also have done some school and spent a lot of time cross stitching and I hope to spend some time this evening writing on The First Lengthy Rambling Fantasy Story of Elizabeth Joy Von Fange. So far it is six pages long and has high potential for being very funny. However just about anything has potential for being funny...
I think I'll end this post now. This week I made sure I printed off my checklist/todolist early so that I'd get more done and write posts more regularly. So hopefully it will be a good week for Bethjoy.com.
Once upon a time there was a young and beautiful princess. One day as she wandered in the royal palace gardens she came across a little frog sitting on a lilly pad in the middle of little pond. The princess thought this odd for in all her wanderings throughout the palace gardens she had never yet seen a pond, in fact she was quite certain that there wasn't one. So she stared at the frog and the frog stared at her and then a white rabbit came running by holding a pocket watch and exclaiming "I'm late, I'm late" while being chased by a crocodile that had swallowed a clock. By this time the princess was beginning to wonder if she was dreaming or had possibly fallen down a rabbit hole.
But she didn't wake up and she was quite certain that she hadn't fallen down a rabbit hole recently so she puzzled over the matter for a few more minutes while eight turtle doves began singing the third verse of of the Twelve Days of Christmas.
And if the princess did not know what was happening, or what was going to happen... I don't either. Sadly my brain is tired right now and I've had a some what busy week. However next week I hope to write some more, and better quality, posts and I thank all of you who have still kept on coming to my website. I'm only sixteen and I do go through phases of productivity. Today I wore myself out riding my bicycle and the past few days I was watching episode after episode of the Muppet show. However yesterday I did some writing on a somewhat amusing story that might show up on Bethjoy.com before too long. I hope.
And now my eyes are tired... But I finished writing my review of the shows and I'm now done with that so I'm going to print it off and take a break and then possibly do some creative. I wrote about eight pages worth of information about the shows.
I soon should have them all watched! And all commented on. Then I'll probably turn my typing skills back to the story I started writing a few days ago and had promise of being very funny. And I may be able to post some more interesting posts. Which might be the primary reason I'm trying to watch all of these episodes in three days... Or to be more precise, I'm going to try and do it in forty-eight hours since I got the set in the late afternoon.
Yesterday a friend brought over fifteen DVD's of three Muppet Shows each. So in total 45 shows. They are being lent temporally. The set in total is called the best of the Muppet Show and contains about five or so episodes I'd already commented on from Season One. I am currently writing a commentary on the shows just as I did with season one. So if you should notice another lacking of posts on here it is primarily because I'm watching all of the episodes. So far I've watched twenty one of the shows and I'm currently watching the twenty-second. I only got them yesterday afternoon so I haven't really had time to watch them all. I have approximately eighteen left to comment on since I'm not recommenting on the shows I'd already written about.
So now back to the Muppet show.
And it is quite time to write another post! My humble apologies to those of you who have come to my website expecting a new post and not finding one. I hope that you shall return again and see that your patience hath paid off.
I have been doing a lot lately but the memory of past events has faded a bit, as is not unusual. I haven't exactly been in a writing mood, at least not as far as posts are concerned. I forget what I did on Friday, though I think I went shopping at Hamricks but I might have done that Thursday. On Saturday I went to Walmart(I usually remember Walmart Visits) and purchased sufficient material to make a broom skirt. I made the skirt with the intention of wearing it on Sunday but I don't think Mom thought it turned out well especially since I did not have matching thread for the fabric. I highly doubt anyone other than Mom taking great notice of this fact though. If anybody else noticed it hopefully they would just think it was a designer touch. However I didn't wear that. Much time indeed may elapse before my skills as a seamstress are great enough to enable me to actually wear in public something I've made. Though I have done it before...
I've listened to a lot of Lord of the Rings lately and though I doubt it is very noticeable a trifle bit of that style is creeping in into my writing, at least I know that my train of thought has been affected. And speaking of Lord of the Rings I played a rather impressive game tonight with my Lord of the Rings trading cards. I had built three decks from some of my "extra" cards and I played a game where I played all three players. That was somewhat of a mistake for since I played all players and I didn't want to lose it made the game stretch out interminably until I finally looked at the clock and thought in surprise "IT"S ONE ALREADY!!!" The game ended with a truce shortly after that. So nobody lost and nobody really won and that was alright I hope. It was a fun game though. It's kind of interesting playing with different the strategies that leftover cards can bring to play.
I haven't really mentioned anything more about the title of my post, and that might be just as well. However my birthday is rapidly approaching and I will be turning seventeen! Mom does not think that I should post a wish list on my website so at some point I'll probably post a "Suggested Birthday Presents List" instead. Note the plural "presents". I know already I'm going to get at least two or more presents from Mom but I really enjoy opening wrapped presents. Though I may feel a little upset if all that is in them is a large rock which one of my brothers gave me for one of my birthdays. He was forgiven and allowed to be my brother again when an I O U note was discovered underneath the rock.
I will however (this year) try not to be too pushy about asking for presents, for a change. I'm probably going to abstain from asking for them in person and just leave lengthy hints on my website unless of course I'm talking to somebody who doesn't read my website and therefore could not take notice of my hints:)
At anyrate, I really ought to be asleep right now so I'll probably end this post now.
Well, after watching so much of the Muppet Show over the past few days I suddenly got the strange desire to make something like it. This happened to me once before after I watched a Ballet, I wanted to make a ballet. I think I actually might be better at making a Muppet Show than making a Ballet...
Now the Muppet show is much better than what I made today probably. However I hope you'll be amused at least by my nonsense. So now for The Fluppet Show!!!
Well, I just finished watching all twenty-four episodes of the first season of the Muppet Show. Some of the shows, in fact most of the shows, I have watched twice and some even more than that. I got the DVD set on Friday so I've been somewhat busy watching them. I decided to write down what happens in the show and also which parts to skip. Immodest apparel means fast-forwarding or skipping. Unfortunately on this disc hitting the skip button will send you to the next show. Now this list was compiled primarily while watching the Muppet show, with the behind the scenes captions on, and while browsing the internet playing games so I cannot guarantee comprehension or perfect grammar. And some things I refer to have to do with what was going on in the episode when I wrote it. So here it is. And I haven't checked or edited this list recently so it might be in worse condition than if I did so but I have another post to write.
Muppet Show Episode Break Down
Disc One
Episode 1: Juliet Prowse
First song really funny, MahnaMahna. Fast Forward through the dance number with the guest star. Stand in front of monitor though. You and I and George is quite funny. Western Sketch. So an alright show if fast forward is used during the dance number.
Episode 2: Connie Stevens
Not quite as good. Swedish Chef Sequence funny. Okay, after a bit of singing and so forth we get to the saxophone number which is quite funny! So are Bert an Ernie however the song might be good to fast forward through. The end outfit that the guest star wears is not good though. So the final line of Waldorf and company is... Well, do you think this show was educational? Yes, it will drive people to read books.
Episode 3: Joel Grey
If time is pressing first song could be fast forwarded through. Fozzie bear tries to tell a joke on any subject. SHERLOCK HOLME's SKETCH!!! Razzle Dazzle is also a trifle boring. So a good one when time is pressing.
Episode 4: Ruth Buzzi
Opening song electric mayhem speed up. There is the Mechanical Wind Up TV Show Host that is just like Kermit which causes mayhem, to some extent. Pretty funny misc skits, including a great Wayne and Wanda one. News flash is great too. Song with guest is funny to some extent but might be fastforwarded. Onion song with Rawlf is great! So lots of funny stuff on this episode. There is more funny stuff than I mentioned.
Episode 5: Rita Moreno
I don't like the costumes that the guest star chose to wear, however if you fast forward or skip her there are quite a few other funny things on this show, including a song about To Morrow and a running gag involving a telephone. Oh the Muppetphone! Thats funny! Pitty the guest is immodest because otherwise this is a pretty funny show.
Episode 6: Jim Nabors
The guest star was better known as Gomer Pile. Scooter is officially introduced in this episode. There are quite a few bits of humor in this episode. There is a great song with Rowlfth the dog on the piano and another dog singing. Quite a good episode.
Disc Two
Episode 7: Florence Henderson
Gonzo actually gets to ring the gong in this episode. There are Pig acrobatics in this. Miss Piggy becomes quite emotional towards Kermit. There is a rather long and relatively boring song in this episode sung by the guest star. However Rowlf sings out quite an excellent song to make up for it:) I'm very fond of the Whinnie the Pooh books and that is where the song Rowlf sings comes from. Some Shakespear though not much here. Possibly the highlight of the show is the Koozbanian sketch.
Episode 8: Paul Williams
The guest star being a song writer there are many songs. Muppet Labs produces a great and very useful product. In a Really funny sketch Rowlf the dog writes and read a great poem with appropriate background distractions. Somebody unfortunately gets picked on a bit. There is a great song about a frog. There is also a travel agency sketch. So all in all, a great show.
Episode 9: Charles Azneavour
The first song is really funny! Do you feel pretty? Gonzo gets a manager in this episode. Doctor Bob loses a patient in this episode. Want to meet some French Bread? A grand song by the hillbillies in this episode, "Does your Chewing Gum Lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight?". French is indeed a delightful language. I once tried learning it. The song about the Inchworm shows that background music can be quite diverse. A very Enjoyable episode.
Episode 10: Harvey Korman
The show starts out with an explosive opening number by the Electric Mayhem about lighting dynamite. Circus act with the guest star follows after a ketch or two. Then the intellectual level of the show is raised though that might be debatable. The guest star seems to have some temperament issues. He's not quite as polite as most of the other guest stars. Jam session. Veterinarian hospital sketch is quite funny. Kermit helps Fozzie during his comedic sketch. Hear! Hear! There is a long song on and about a stair which perhaps could be fast-forwarded.
Episode 11: Lena Horne
THE RAGMOPS!!! This is one funny song! Miss Horn shows up during this episode. Long song that is not very funny at the opening. Saxaphone number follows the dance episode. So this is probably a show to watch when time is pressing as much that is somewhat long and boring and fastforwardable. Somewhat immodest outfit worn by the guest star during her talk with Kermit but the talk is not so funny that it can't be fast-forwarded through without loss. The spaghetti act following it however is a different story. And yet another long song! I suppose that's what happens when you have a famous singer as a guest star. How many songs can they shove into this show?
Episode 12: Peter Unstinov
Evening at the pops is quite funny. So is Peter Unstinov who is quite talented as is seen in the sketch at Myppet labs. Kermit is rather jealous. There is a very enjoyable discussion of Post Dickensian Economics. Miss Piggy gets her own solo in this episode. A somewhat strange song entitled "You do something to me" has many things happen in it. The cure for the common cold is discovered in this episode. The panel discusses psychiatry. Kermit sings a song about being green.
Episode 13: Bruce Forsyth
The opening song on this show is wonderful! Performed by the very talented Smerfs. There are several funny things on this show and Fozzie bear actually gets to win against the hecklers. I'm not commenting on this show while watching it but commenting on it from memory. I want to get on to watching other shows:)
Disc Three
Episode 14: Sandy Duncan
The first song on this show should be skipped. Crazy Harry shows up in this episode. The famous(or infamous) Banana Sketch! Doughnuts by the Swedish chef. The dance number is funny as usually. There is a lovely walk in the park with an unexpected ending. Great Gonzo gets a solo in this episode, he sings Nobody. There is a really great song from a famous movie in this episode, "Never Smile at a Crocodile". So just what is the Banana Sketch? Good News Flash. There is a song about September, which is nice because my birthday is in September. On the twenty-sixth in fact.
Episode 15: Candice Bergen
Miss Piggy opens the show with her song "What now my love?" this song is made funny by the chorus. Great running gag in this show. The next song on the show is a slightly unusual hillbilly song with the guest star. The hillbilly was rather incapable of figuring certain things out. "Does travel broaden the mind" is discussed by the learned panel. Rowlf the dog sings a great song here, in fact he sings it three times! The Sweedish Chef encounters Chili! There is some painting in this episode during a very funny song. Then the great gonzo once again appears in song though it's not so funny it couldn't be fastforwarded through.
Episode 16: Avery Schreiber
The Electric Mayhem plays, "Tenderly", rather untenderly. An Epic Duel occurs in this episode between the guest star and Sweetums. Miss Piggy makes Kermit jealous in this episode. One of the most funny Muppet Labs is on here, the Gorilla Detector! Another really funny scene is the Portrait Gallery guard sketch with Fozzie Bear. Lassie(or actually her picture) has a song sung to her by three dogs and a cat. Where the cat came from I'm not really certain. A very funny Wayne and Wanda song as usual. A chicken is the patient in the Veterinarian's hospital sketch. Fozzie gets some help with his act. Muppets News Flash, there is no news tonight! It's rather intersting to have a song without words that have meaning.
Episode 17: Ben Vereen
Boogie beat song to begin with Rolf the dog at the piano. In case you can't tell by the fact that I've spelled the dog's name different times throughout this list, I don't know how to spell it. Crazy Harry Continues to terrorize. "Mr. Cellophane" is the next song and dance number. Rowlfth the dog plays a song on the piano that I know how to play part of, Fur Elise. He plays it better than I do though. A superb Veterinarians hospital sketch. You get to see the lighting equipment in this show. There is a rather interesting song about imagination to close the show, more or less.
Episode 18: Phyllis Diller
The Hillbillies have a sung about Mississippi Mud to open the show. Great News Flash!!! Long song by the electric mayhem that has a lot of interesting camera work and transitions. I neglected to mention that Phylllis Diller is quite funny and rather a nut. There is an interesting sung with a purplish creature saying Hugga Wugga. Exploding hats anyone? Concert number with the guest star and the muppet orchestra.
Episode 19: Vincent Price
A very spooky show. Apparently the guest star was a horror movie star. The first song is rather funny in a very Muppet like way, "I've got you under my skin". Be careful when rent summer cottages from adds in the Wampire Veekly:) The cultural discussion is about food. Beware of your furniture! Much strangeness in this episode. And now I'm almost done!!!
Disc Four
Episode 20: Valerie Harper
Opening song could be fastforwarded through. Sweedish Chef scene is really funny. One of the hecklers goes backstage. A song by Gilbert and Sullivan in this episode that is quite funny! There are the usual misc skits in this. A long muppet song. The backstage gets rather crowded. The song and dance with clodhoppers is probably fastforwardable through. This one I commented on while watching it:)
Episode 21: Twiggy
The guest star on this show was, or is, so famous I had actually heard of her before!!! Although I didn't expect it to be so, this episode is just fine modesty wise! Somewhat strange muppet song to open this episode. THE PHANTOM OF THE MUPPET SHOW!!! That particular running gag is great! The first song with Twiggy is a little long but very pretty and has a photo montage of Twiggy. I really like the poem that Twiggy reads to the great Gonzo. Rowlf the dog plays another peice of classical music. An interesting machine shows up. Twiggy sings a sort of hillbilly song. A pretty enjoyable episode.
Episode 22: Ethel Merman
Pretty funny Muppet number to start this with strange creatures. A nice meddly of musical songs with the guest star. There is a song with the two hecklers in the background. Some shadows. There's no business like show business is sung.
Episode 23: Kay Ballard
Pretty funny hillbilly song to open the show. The guest stars number is rather funny, she chose the appropriate dress to go with the muppet she sings with. Rather lazy hillbilly song. A face lift!
Episode 24: Mummenschanz
We start out with a sung with Skooter singing the solo about Mr. Baseman. The guest stars are indeed rather funny, in an odd way. The great Gonzo falls in love. Library sequence music. More weirdness from the guest stars. A fishy sort of song next. And some more various skits. A somewhat strange show but alright.
And with the impressive array of cards now at my command, I was able to decimate Polly at site seven without Polly having to do any stupid or idiotic moves:) So that's nice.
And what else have I been doing today other than playing with my new trading cards? Well, I've been playing with my existing LOTR trading cards, I've watched two episodes of the Muppet Show. I've eaten two meals. I've watched two lessons of Chemistry. And that is about it! However as it is only five or so now i may be doing some more things before the day is over. Like perhaps playing another game with my Lord of the Rings Trading Cards:)
Today's primary news flash is that I will not be doing the Algebra II course I was working on yesterday, I'll be doing a much simpler one. That is nice. Today I worked some more on Chemistry and we finished Lesson 10 of thirty lessons. So my school is progressing nicely.
Tomorrow, hopefully, the trading cards I ordered should arrive. I"m eagerly looking forward to that.
I've been watching a lot of the Muppet show lately. I decided that since my memory could not remember all of the details about the shows that I would just watch through all of the shows and write a log about them. Then I'll have something to refer to when choosing the shows. I might post the log on here once I'm done writing it.
I haven't been keeping up with my to do list this week. Oh well. Next week will soon be here and then I'll start again. The Muppet Show can be quite a distraction. Besides, I haven't really been feeling well lately.
For the SECOND time today Daniel has beat me in the LOTR tcg game. This makes either the fourth or fifth time he has beaten in me in this game and I have never beaten him. But when I get my new cards in... I hope it will be different! At least this time I got all the way to site 9 and to the final battle before getting creamed. Oh well, if he'd drawn a really bad hand of cards I might have won. However there were few in his fellowship unwounded at the end. If you have no idea about the way the LOTR TCG is played then you probably have no idea of what I'm talking about so in simple words, Daniel and I played a game this evening. It was very close at the end but Daniel beat me. I will feel a very great feeling of accomplishment when I beat Daniel as I hope I do someday.
Mom and Dad made it back safely from their trip. Which is very nice. They came back while in the middle of Daniel's and I's game so I didn't ask all of the questions and tell all of the news that I would have done otherwise. However tomorrow there will be time for them. It's nice to have tracking numbers on packages so that you can know when they are. And when they are supposed to arrive. My two new value boxes of LOTR trading cards should arrive on Wednesday!!! And then indeed I may be a formidable foe! Unless I do the horrible thing to myself of not opening them until after Algebra II is done. That might get a lot of Algebra II done though but I'm not sure I'd be able to hold to my purpose for that long.
So I'm glad Mom and Dad are back!
We were just playing the Lord of the Rings TCG and Daniel won:( This makes the third or fourth time I think. Now I have even more of a reason to wish for the arrival of the two more TCG value packs I recently ordered. And then... I will probably be able to build a better deck and perhaps be able to defeat Daniel(Muhahahahahahahaha). Only then he might not play with me... Oh well, at least then I could probably beat Polly without her having to do idiotic moves at site 9.
In other news the day has been progressing well, providing your definition of "Well" includes getting a headache from doing Algebra II. As Calvin's Dad would say, I'm currently building, "Character" by forcing myself to do something I don't particularly want to do and without necessarily having to do it. Well, I do have to do Algebra II but not quite yet, after all, I still have about two and a half weeks left until September when I'm supposed to start the next school year of Twelfth Grade and presumably have finished all pertaining to Eleventh grade and all I have left of eleventh grade is about 4/5ths of my Chemistry and 10/11ths or so of Algebra II. I will be very surprised if I finish before September 1rst. In fact, I'd be surprised if I finished all of my eleventh grade school before I turn seventeen, which will happen on September 26th. You will probably be hearing much more about September 26th as that date draws nearer.
Mom and Dad should be back in a few hours. I suppose the shortness of their being away has prevented me from missing them too much. I'm not currently pining away. However it will be nice when they are back.
Andrew picked up Chinese Take Out for lunch and for breakfast we did have cereal. For supper I think that the plan is to get Pizza and watch... something. For lunch we watched an episode of the Muppet Show. Andrew said that he didn't think he's seen the extended edition of The Two Towers and therefore we might watch some of that which would go quite well after the Lord of the Rings trading card game that was played. And it's probably a good thing that my brother Daniel wasn't opposing the actual fellowship of the ring, because he might have beaten them as he just beat me. At least I have something really difficult to compare conquering Algebra II with. Chemistry is easy compared with Algebra II. Primarily because Chemistry is a DVD course where you just watch the DVD's and do an occasional problem or two while Algebra II is a full fledged course with tons of problems and lots of reading and trying to comprehending etc.
And hopefully soon there may be another story on here. However one may not show up until after Algeberish II is finished as that is using up most of my brain and concentration. And now... I think I just realized why I've been making this post so long, it's because I know, or my fingers know, that as soon as I stop I'll probably make myself go do some more Algebra II and they think that if they keep on typing this post that I won't get up and do school. However THIS POST IS ENDING!!! NOW!!! SCHOOL MUST BE DONE!!!
Last night it was decided that somebody needed to go to New York. Some clamps needed to be somewhere on Monday and Fed Ex could not guarantee their getting there during business hours on Monday but could guarantee a very expensive fee for shipping them. So it was decided that somebody needed to fly to New York and personally bring the clamps to where they needed to go as that was cheaper than sending the clamps Fed Ex. I'm not saying that Fed Ex is really expensive, but large quantities of clamps can weigh a LOT.
So who ended up going? My parents! And who is staying? Me. That does not happen very often. I am home without Mommy. It's probably a good thing she's coming tomorrow, Lord willing. Fortunately I have Polly, my bear, to keep me company tonight. And Andrew is home too. And Daniel is next door. And at the moment I'm not violently missing Mommy.
They left this afternoon. Andrew and I went to church tonight in Andrew's Porsche. That was quite fun. It took him a half an hour to get to church. Usually thirty-five minutes are allowed to get to church. Andrew directed tonight and I ran Camera One. Camera Two ran Camera Two. After church Andrew and I went to McDonalds for supper. Guess who suggested that?(me in case you don't know) I got a really nice Happy Meal toy! So now I'm home and writing a post. Tomorrow is probably going to be interesting. According to my plan I need to restart work on Math and also there are three meals without Mommy to eat. Breakfast will probably be cereal(easy) and lunch we'll probably eat out(easy) and maybe for supper we'll order Pizza to be delivered and watch the extended edition of The Two Towers(also easy). So that doesn't look too bad. And Mom brought her cellphone(I reminded her about that frequently.)
So now I think I'll end this post. And woe unto any hijackers that might be on the plane my parents are on. However all of that is in God's hands. Therefore I have nothing to worry about... nothing to worry about... nothing to worry about... Not that I am worried. I think... Um, I suppose I'd better end this post now. Stuffed bears are nice.
It was very very fun having my two friends, Bryn and Greer, over! We started out the visit by filming "A Tale of Three Twins" for the the third time. Possibly if I get really energetic I might go through the difficulties of putting it up here. It's quite an amusing movie, Bryn is a great actress. She played the parts of the spoiled rich twins. I was the polite poor twins. Then one of my Prince Ken dolls played the third set of twins, the twin prince's. We spent about two and a half hours filming and setting up things and selecting our costumes. Then I spent about an hour or more editing the movie together. Then we played dress up some more with my costumes and visited and ate supper and then visited some more and then they had to go. I hope I can see them again at some point in the moderately near future. Usually I get to see them at least once a year mainly due to their busy schedules.
I was a bit tired after their visit, and also very interested in watching a few more episodes of Season One of the Muppet Show which we just got on DVD, so I didn't write a post then, which is unfortunate because my memory has faded slightly since then and some other events have happened, but that is for another post.
It should be very fun! I have a lot I could do before then, such as cleaning up my room, perfecting the script of the movie we're going to film, filming the scenes that have just me in them etc. but so far today I've been extremely lazy and I haven't done anything just about. Oh well, I'll be busy tomorrow. And I still might get in the filming of the scenes that have just me in them today. I've picked out the costumes for my characters, that took a while...
Well, yesterday I ordered two more value packs of LOTR TCG cards from Walmart. They are now $4.00 a value box but shipping and so forth is rather expensive and almost doubles the price of the item. Oh well. I'm looking forward to getting them in.
However, TOMORROW is going to be here soon! In fact there are LESS than twenty-four hourse before my two friends will probably be arriving, Lord willing. Much indeed to do yet have I... Perhaps I'll start doing it.
(I'm adding to this post after posting it) You know something funny? Well, I'm sure you do know something funny but not necessarily what I'm going to say. I just looked in the archives at the last time I ordered the LOTR TCG Value Box and I ordered it on a Thursday then too! AND I didn't mention it on Bethjoy.com on the day after. Hopefully the two I ordered yesterday will come as quickly as the one I ordered a month ago, it came the next Tuesday!
I thought this information was worth posting. I hope that project SSS will be worth posting when I finish it, which might be a while. And what is project SSS? Well... You'll just have to wait and see... After all, there should be some sort of suspense on my website though "suspense" is not one of the words that SSS is short for. Nor does it stand for Six Slurping Snakes.
My brother Daniel came back from Canada yesterday night. I was quite glad to see him. I went in the airport to meet him at the luggage area where he was waiting for his suitcase and looking earnestly for it.
He did pose for the picture. It's quite nice having him back and we looked at some very spectacular pictures on his computer last night.
In other news, I made three doll dresses yesterday though two of them were nearly identical and were meant to be identical. And as I have quite a few things to do today I'm going to end this post now.
You may remember, if you have read any of my previous recent posts, that I went to the Dollmarket and got a doll named Marley Wentworth. Now this has led to a few problems for Mom got the exact same doll with, of course, the exact same name. This really isn't that important but if you pick up a copy of "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens what does the first sentence of the story say? "Marley was dead to begin with..." disquieting that is. So for this and other reasons I have yet to think of, I decided that a change was necessary.
I still wanted to keep the initials of M. W. for my doll so I found some long lists of names to drive my eyes berserk and start reading. I carefully considered most names for the space of about half a second, sometimes pausing for five seconds on the names that really caught my attention, Media was one of these as well as Melinda. However, as you might have noticed if you read the title of this post, I did not chose either of those. I chose the name Meliora. Though I'm not certain I think it's pronounced MEL YOR AH or something like that. I chose the name, you see, for it's meaning and not necessarily for it's pronunciation. The name, presumably, is derived from a latin word meaning "Better" and since I want this name to be "better" than Marley I thought it would work. So here are two pictures of Meliora in the dress I made for her earlier today.

Meliora is really nice, even when she was Marley. I played a game with her with my Lord of the Rings Trading Cards today and... I beat her!!! And she didn't even make that many stupid moves!(unlike Polly had to do last game). I think I'm finally getting my strategy figured out. I completely destroyed her fellowship at site seven. She may get a new dress tomorrow as a reward for being such an excellent loser:)
I've been very busy today. This morning I spent most of my time cleaning and organizing my room since I'm going to have company on Saturday. I vacuumed a lot of dust and brought to light parts of my floor that had been buried under for quite some time.
Recently I've developed a method for cleaning up my room, or parts of my room at least. I select an area and then put everything movable in that area on top of my bed and then reorganize from there. Here is a picture of what my bed looked like after a picked up nearly everything from the section of floor I was cleaning.

I was rather busy this morning getting that situation in hand. Then I made a dress for Marley, now named Meliora, and after that I forget what I did but I'm sure I did something... This evening we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant and after we came home I rode my bicycle for over an hour and now I'm tired but I still have a few more things to do on my to do list. Last week I did not use a to do list but this week I'm using one again. I think I still have five things left to check off but as soon as I finish this post I'll be able to check that off :)
First off, here is the dress I just finished making today. My brother Andrew was kind enough to take the picture.

I spent most of this morning and afternoon making the dress and taking breaks in-between steps. I'm rather tired now and I don't feel like writing much however the previous post is nice and long.
Here are some pictures of Marley Wentworth in the dress I made for her Saturday. Since this was the first dress I'd made for her it didn't exactly turn out perfectly, but it works.

This morning, promptly around sixish, we, Mom, Dad, and I, got up and started on our adventure. After driving for some way the time for breakfast arrived. We stopped at McDonalds since I greatly desired to eat at McDonalds and get the little toy which comes with HappyMeals. We stopped at McDonalds and Dad ordered me a breakfast happymeal. When the HappyMeal arrived I was a little bit... um, let me wait a moment before stating my feelings on the matter. I had never consciously ordered a breakfast happymeal before and I did not know what sort of happymeals could be ordered. At this McDonalds there was a choice between flapjacks and a sausage biscuit. My Dad had ordered me the sausage biscuit. I do not like sausage very much, nor do I like hash-browns. However I was in high hopes of having a delightful toy when low and behold... It was the boy toy!!! I had specifically stated several times while Dad was ordering to inform the person taking the order that it was to be a Girl happy meal as that would mean a Barbie toy.
Hypoglycemia from not having eaten breakfast yet and the prospect of eating a breakfast I did not like the taste of combined with the fact that the toy was not the one I was hoping for and wanting probably would have caused me to burst out in tears around this point. I certainly felt like crying but I wanted to show my self control and not cry so I didn't. And not crying proved to be quite effective because Dad, after ordering his breakfast at Jack-in-the-Box, actually drove back to McDonalds(since I had explained about their being two different sorts of toys offered) went in and exchanged the tiny hot wheels race car for the GIRL toy. And the toy was sooooo nice. A little white plastic polar bear perched atop a glittering pink plastic rock formation which had a button in it which caused the top part to open and reveal the huge purple plastic ring inside. Oh so very nice it is(I got it out to describe it. The polar bear has a very happy grin) And that, combined the fact that I had now eaten something and Dad had gotten me some scrambled eggs at Jack-in-the-Box made my happiness level rise. There is a Moral to this story, in fact to the story of the whole day. When at first you are disappointed, happiness often follows. But that still doesn't make me like sausage.

We drove on now towards the Dollmarket purposing to arrive early for there was to be a great sale this day in the clearance room, half off the already greatly reduced prices! When we arrived there was already a slight lined formed and by the time the sale room opened about fourty-five minutes later there was a line of great length waiting to go into the clearance store. I took a picture of this, though you can't see that the line extends much further than what you see.

Due to restrictions limiting the amount of people in the store at one time in case of a fire, not everybody was let into the store at once. Fortunately we got in with the first batch. I don't think I could have stood the anxious and nerve-racking wait outside while everybody else got the good stuff. As it was, even though I was the seventeenth or eighteenth person to go in I arrived just in time to see some of the best bargains before they vanished. Carts were being piled high and I took this picture when Mom pointed out this shopping cart. This picture is slightly out of the sequence of events as I took it after I had been in the sale room for some time but it works better here than elsewhere.

I had paused briefly to grab without looking at it a doll and place it in Mom's cart before rushing to the fashion doll section. After looking there I risked nothing being still their when I came back and departed to go to the Magic Attic doll section. After looking there, though not picking up anything, I went over to the magazine section. The last time I was in the sale room I had found a really nice magazine on doll costuming and I was hoping there might be some more of them.
It was here that the general disappointment of not really finding something spectacular that I wanted on sale finally revealed itself to me, but I brushed it off and ignored it for a few more minutes but it came back after I had walked around a bit more. I stopped to look at the doll I had picked up earlier and I found that she was not very pretty and I didn't like her. So I put her back and somebody else got her. I picked up another doll but Mom didn't like her and just about then I began to wish I had taken Mom's advice and drunk some milk before entering the sale room. I was about to go out to the car since I felt on the verge of tears but just as I reached the door I saw the line outside waiting to come in and I knew that I would have to wait in that line to come back. I turned around.
The main cause of my panic was that I was not taking advantage of the huge savings around me. I really like sales and getting things on sale but the common practical sense I'm trying to develop was telling me that I didn't need to buy things I did not need and would not enjoy or use much just because they were on sale. I wandered around for a bit more searching frantically for things while my emotions warred between wanting to take advantage of the sale and my reasoning that I didn't need the stuff I was looking at. Finally however I was able to briefly appease my emotions by selecting a hat for one of my dolls, a Magic Attic doll outfit, and a little porcelain angle who had a price tag of $3.00 which meant that half off she was $1.50. After picking her out I felt better and more appeased for she was an excellant bargain and would be useful as I could put her on one of my shelves and she would look very nice there. As she does.

As Mom was going to stand in line and as she was paying anyway I left the Clearance room and went out to the car. I relaxed for a few minutes and drank a good deal of milk and attempted to compose myself. It's a lot harder to compose oneself when one has Hypoglycemia but milk really helps combat it. And something else really helps too, something that I was about to encounter... I walked into the main showroom of The DollMarket.
For me, describing the Scope and Grandeur of The DollMarket is probably like Bilbo Baggins describing the Smaug's Horde. If you have never read the Hobbit then I will simply say this, The DollMarket is very impressive and very huge although Smaug's Horde, with Smaug the dragon on it, is, or was, probably more so. However, I did take a picture of approximately what you can see from the entrance.

I quickly hastened to where I probably get the most joy and happiness, the fashion doll wall. Here is one third of it.

I started quickly, I wanted to reach the Tiny Kitty section, but I soon slowed my pace. I'd seen most of the dolls before and I'd seen pictures of the rest but seeing them in person made things much more interesting and enjoyable. I wandered leisurely down the fashion doll section looking at Gene, Tyler, and quite a few others until I finally reached Tiny Kitty, and there I stopped for quite a long while. Here practical sense was telling me that I played with Kitty's a lot. I made movies with Kitty's. I made clothes for them, so here I could indulge. And the bargain hunter in me was stating that three of of the Kitty Dolls were excellent bargains.
As usually happens in stores where there are commissions a saleslady soon joined me. She liked Kitty's too and while waiting for Mom to show up I got a chance to show off and I showed her some pictures of some the outfits I'd made for Kitty. She really liked them and I was quite flattered. My spirits were rising rapidly and Mom arrived soon after.
We looked at the dolls and I pointed out several things of note. The saleslady had already written down one doll I had great assurance that I would be getting, a basic redhead. Then I pointed out to Mom the two Kittys who were greatly on sale and excellent bargains. I had not chosen which one I liked better, though I think I know what my choice would have been, so I was quite happy when Mom said the word, "Both" though I forget the other words in the sentence. I also got a set of three shoes for Kitty, my dolls being sadly lacking in that department. Then Mom chose a Kitty and we were able to pay attention to other matters.
The saleslady then led us down a display case and we were confronted by Marly Wentworth, Tyler Wentworth's little sister. If you know nothing of the elite fashion doll world then you may not know who Tyler Wentworth is so in explenation I will say she is a little like a rather large Barbie only much prettier. Marly Wentworth is very new and though I had seen a prototype of her Mom had not consciously seen her before.
The saleslady's talk was quite effective, Mom got a basic brunette Marly. And then... Well... She was very nice so... Suffice it to say that after a few more minutes of deliberation the quantity of the basic brunette Marly Wentworth was increased to two.
Then Mom got in line. She had a few more purchases to make than the ones I've mentioned and as the line was somewhat long I had time to look around a bit. Mom got through the line, made her purchases, and then it was time for a break and something to eat.
We ate at Subway and the main reason this is of great significance is that the Subway was located in the same shopping center as a Hancock Fabrics and after lunch, I had a six inch meatball sub on wheat, I went there.
I have been to Hancock Fabrics before and the last time I was there I found some great remnants for excellent prices. I went into the store with that in mind and after some searching I found the remnant section. I was looking through this when I heard an announcement over the radio system of the store that Hancock Fabrics was having special sale on McCalls patterns, all in stock McCalls patterns for $0.99 up to five patterns.
I did not believe my ears at first. I went to the pattern section at top speed as you might imagine and saw signs there, McCalls patterns for $0.99! Still not absolutely sure of this I asked a saleslady and found that yes, it was true. That was all I needed and I rushed to the pattern books and began looking up patterns. I knew just about every pattern of interest to me from doing quite a lot of pattern research on the web.
Now in case you are wondering about my excitement at seeing the patterns for $0.99 the retail price of the first pattern I selected was $16.95. So I was really, really, really happy though I was almost in a state of shock. I got five patterns, that being the limit for the $0.99 price. They are as follows: A Southern Bell Ball gown pattern, a princess seemed medieval gown with four sleeve options, a pattern with an oriental theme including a Ninja style outfit and a Kimono, A wedding dress in a very Elizabethan(Queen Elizabeth I) style, and lastly, but certainly not least, a pattern with Tyler sized clothing.
After finding all of these patterns, and they had in stock all of the patterns I looked for, and in the right sizes too! I went back to the remnant section after getting a basket to hold everything. I found a lot of very nice remnants for good prices and then, after looking at every single remnant they had, I wandered back towards the front of the store where I noticed something I was surprised to find I had not notice before, a seventy percent off sign.
At first glance I didn't see much, it all seemed to be miscellaneous wedding stuff. Then as I glanced away from the neatly boxed veils I suddenly noticed TIARAS!!! Seventy percent off tiaras no less. So as you might imagine, I got one. It's quite nice.
Though I spent some more time in Hancock fabrics I think I shall not discourse on it any longer as I have mentioned all that I bought. I was very very happy when I left there with my large shopping bag full of delightful things that were all on sale and very good bargains. Times like that make up for a whole lot of unpleasantness.
Mom and Dad meanwhile had been in a store that had excellent buys in the home decorating department and after our shopping in those two stores was done we went back to the Dollmarket to make sure we hadn't missed anything.
Entering the clearance sotre we found that it was a lot emptier than it was when we entered it when it had just opened. I forgot to take a picture of it. Sorry. After a bit of looking Mom found some catalogues she decided to get and I found some nice doll belts for $0.20 and Mom and I each got one.
Then we went into the main showroom for a last look around. We looked around. My feet were beginning to hurt me greatly. We didn't get anymore dolls or things in there because pretty much all of the dolls who begged us to bring them home were already in the car waiting for us.
So soon we were on our way home. On the way back we listened to the last two CD's of an audio recording of "Pride and Prejudice". It was very enjoyable. Jane Austin has a great command of the English Language as well as much Humor and Wit.
I was, and still am, very tired which is why this post is not much longer. Also I have a few more things to do this evening. I haven't mentioned everything I did but I think I mentioned the highlights, though with less depth as I reached the end.
So here is the "General Aftermath" of the excursion though you can't exactly see what lies inside the boxes. However as the boxes primarily contain dolls who will probably be being featured in many movies and who will probably be having outfits made for them and so forth, I think that you will be seeing them at some point, eventually...

So, I had a fun day! And I got a lot of good bargains and I think I'll be enjoying them immensely. And my parents are very very very nice. And God is certainly very good to me.
Today I learned how to cut and peel apples(not mac). Though I have not yet "mastered" the skill I have done some peeling and cutting and so forth. It was a little interesting because both my parents cut and peel apples in a different manner, and both were offering advice and demonstrations. Mom gently holds the apple in her hand while strategically placing her thumb for optimum "leverage". Dad keeps the apple on the table and hacks away. Or perhaps "hack" isn't exactly the word for it. He does it more like a diamond cutter, carefully selecting where he is going to cut and then slicing there and then choosing the next part and slicing through there. The actual peeling part was rather interesting.
My parents eventually left me with three more apple slices to finish peeling and cutting. On one of them I suddenly became "Artistic" and attempted to carve a face on it. You can see it in the picture.

And of course, the general aftermath.

So what's my opinion of apple slicing and peeling? Um, I think since Mommy is probably going to read this post I will not state it.
Oh, and if you really want to read some interesting kitchen experiences, read this post.
But that was only because my stuffed bear, Polly, did a very stupid move on the last turn of the game. It was a very exciting game! Though I still think my deck could be a lot better did it have better cards in it so perhaps I'll just have to buy another value box. In fact I've pretty much decided that as a reward for finishing another complete long story I'll get another box of LOTR Tcg. Now let us see how fast I complete the next story...
Last night I started watching a very enjoyable movie entitled "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and as I was watching the strange desire came over me to make one of the dresses I saw in the movie for my doll, so I did.

Unfortunately due to the pattern not fitting quite right the outfit doesn't resemble the one in the movie very much, other than the fact that it is about the right shade of blue. Oh well. At any-rate that was my main accomplishment yesterday beyond writing a page of rough draft on a story. I hope that today I'll write some more on said rough draft.
However there are two more Kitty outfits I haven't posted yet though they were made before yesterday.

This outfit has some weaponry to go with it.
And this outfit

Is supposed to be a lovely green ball gown of sorts.
So this is my post for right now. I may post something later, but then again I may not:) Tommorrow I shall probably have a LOT to write about and perhaps some pictures.
Here is a picture of me and several of cousins. I made all of the dresses were wearing in the picture. It's not the best of pictures as far as showing off the outfits but it works.

Since it is Thrusday I'm currently working on a special project which I'll probably be posting on here at some point.
So out of 55.76 GB on my hard drive I had used up at least 54 GB, probably more. Therefore, so as to have more room, I started deleting some of the files I didn't really need to have on my computer. I have so far managed to get 14.73 GB of available space on my hard drive. Pretty good is that not?
I found out something with my movies. A still frame takes a whole lot less space to store than a regular film clip. So if it's one of my doll, lego, or other film that has a clip that is static then I can just create a still frame that is the same length as the clip, extract the audio from the original clip, place the still frame in the proper place and delete the original clip. On one movie I cleared a whole GB doing this. I still have a few more movies to convert using this method.
Unfortunately however this doesn't make the compressed movies smaller in file size :( Oh well...
So today, instead of cleaning up my room I'm cleaning up my hardrive! Since my computer is, to some extant, a part of my room I think I can get away with it.
Last month I had 276 Unique visitors, and it was my lowest amount of visitors so far this year. So far this month I've had 7 visitors but the month of is far from over yet.
Last week my primary goal was to finish History. I did finish history. This week I'm going to try to clean up my room... I do not think it will be an easy task. In some places in my room the mess is about two feet deep. However I made a fairly good start on it this morning. I probably won't get my entire room cleaned up this week but it ought to be cleaner than it was.
Right now I'm rather sleepy and I feel like taking a nap so I just might do that.
