It is still strange…
My computer has convinced itself that it doesn’t have an IP address and therefore won’t connect to the internet. So the time for using the internet on other computers hath come… I could have expected something like this happening when my older brother Daniel is away from home for Christmas, something has to occur to make sure that he is missed.
At the moment I am using my mother’s computer to post from. It is so odd typing on a keyboard that is not a laptop computer keyboard and to actually sit up to type. It may take some getting used too but I hope that I’ll be able to post again from my laptop before too long.
Christmas is not far away!!! Today I got to open a present! They that shall remain anonymous but who had lunch at our house today brought presents and I carefully examined them. Quickly I found just which one had my name on the label and I began examining the box. I determined that five of the sides were cardboard and that the top was of plastic and I also detirmined that from the size of the box and the fact that it was for me that it probably was a Barbie doll which is doubtless a logical present for a Seventeen year old providing that seventeen year old is me. After examining my own present I took a look at my brothers and thought that it was probably something to eat.
A great deal of time, hinting, and wheedling later I was permitted to open my present. I did so. It was a Barbie doll! I had guessed correctly!!! She is a very pretty Barbie and was called Christmas Morning Barbie and I’ve already made her a new outfit. Though it didn’t turn out too well…
Andrew next tackled his present and after delaying a long time in his task of opening the present without tearing the paper or even removing much tape he revealed that it was something to eat, so I was right again! That made me quite happy.
I enjoy opening presents and guessing what is inside them is very fun though I do get stumped occasionally. The two presents for me that I do not know the contents of have me really, really, stumped. One of them rattles, but only on one end, and the other sounds like a smaller box bumping against a larger box. I’m looking forward to finding out what’s in them… And then there is the mysterious problem of no presents from my brothers being underneath the tree… At least not ones addressed to me. However, there is still time, and I know John has one for me at his house that he is bringing over on Christmas. I’m glad we are opening presents in the morning, the suspense is starting to increase rapidly!!!
In other, non present related news, I have started writing a new story which I started the day before yesterday and wrote ten pages on and yesterday I wrote five pages on it and following that pattern presumably I should be writing two and a half pages today but so far I haven’t written on it at all but there is still time for that. And now, since my Mother just came inside and might be wanting here computer I shall end this post.
