My newest toy is one week old today
Last Tuesday I entered a Walmart. That was not unusual. I went to the DVD/Electronics section. That also was not unusual. I went to the video game section that, until very recently, was very unusual. And at the video game isle I went to the gameboy section of it and looked down and saw what I hoped would be there! A beautiful brand new PINK gameboy advanced game system. So pretty! So lovely! And so, somewhat, affordable with an $80.00 price tag.
My next choice was which game should I get to go with my new toy? After considering all of the options and remember the research that I’d been doing almost solid for the past couple of days on just what games you can get for a Gameboy system I finally decided to buy Disney Princess Royal Adventure.
I then proceeded to the check out counter where I whipped out an envelope on which was written in pink ink “Pink! Gameboy advance money” and pulled out $110.00 in cash. The cashier rang up my purchase and I paid for it. From that moment on I have been the owner of a pink gameboy advance! I named it Rosebud.
In the car I opened the packaging and loaded in the game cartridge and began exploring the very pink world of the disney princess game I got. I was quite pleased and happy. Especially since my parents had bought for me a special travel case and cable set to go with my new gameboy at the previous store we’d been too. It’s a really elegant case, black leatherish material. The set came with official nintendo headphones and two player link cable and car charger. Very nice:)
So far the Disney Princess Royal Adventure game is the only one I have. But I just ordered from Amazon.com two more games, The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings: The Third Age. They probably won’t be quite as pink and easy. I haven’t gotten them yet. I do like my princess game, I love the fact that it is so easy and pretty and nice, but I think it will be fun having some variety too.
So there is something about my newest toy. It’s very fun and I got it at a good time for currently I have a cold and I’m feeling rather sick and not like doing very much and a Gameboy is fun to play with when you don’t feel like doing very much. I’m still researching games though. Briskly reading reviews, ferreting out screenshots, comparing prices, and other wise wasting my time on the computer because I wont he Disney princess game and I want to play a different one but… I have bought another one yet. Though I have the ordered the other two but they haven’t gotten here yet. However, tonight I will probably be going to Walmart and it is a possibility that Walmart will have one of the seven games I’m seriously considering buying, or at least one of the thirty five games on my list of games I’m looking at. So I’ll see… At the moment I either want to be able to go shopping on my Gameboy advance(certain games will let me do this) or battle with(either on my side or not) dragons or fly the Millennium Falcon through the Star Wars universe. So I’l see if any of the games that will let me do these things are at Walmart because I just cashed my paycheck today and I’m raring to go shopping and spend it… Not a good thing for my finances but… I’ll try to get back on track and spending less next month. Procrastinators of the World Unite… Tomorrow!
Anyway, last month was a very good month financially and even if this month is terrible, which in all likely hood it will be, financially speaking of course, last months finances makes up for it. So… end of post!
