Today there were fresh baked cookies in the house
And I helped make them!!! In fact, I picked out the recipe! You see, for some time now Mother has been suggesting that I learn how to cook. Recently my reply to that suggestions has been to the effect of, \”If you start with cookies I\’ll learn!\” As it was, I started more with Banana Cream Pie but I didn\’t object to that… But cookies! Oh, how wonderful! Seldom indeed have I tasted cookies, but tonight I ate plenty! And they tasted fairly good. Indeed for \”healthy\”, \”legal\”, and \”no processed sugar or white flower\” cookies I\’m sure they were excellent. They were Brownie Pecan Oatmeal cookies. I think they\’d be better as Brownie, Pecan, Raisin, Oatmeal cookies and next time raisins are going in as that will make them sweeter:)
This being a historic milestone (1. Cookies, 2. Me cooking) I thought I would mention it.
I also went to Library today and checked out a book entitled \”Dragons, Dragons, Dragons\”. It looked like the sort of book I\’d enjoy reading due to the fact that I am/havebeen writing on a story with dragons. Currently I\’ve hit a snarl so that story may go back into the murky depths of stories that have been pushed aside for another time.
So… It was fun eating cookies today! I hope that more batches of cookies shall appear in the near future:)
