Okay, now for a long post…

Hmm, where shall I begin? My last post was on October 8th and I really don’t know what I have been doing since then since I haven’t been posting… At least my memory isn’t as bad as Dori’s! Which brings me to November 4th when I was one of the millions of people who bought Finding Nemo and I really enjoyed watching it. I keep a close eye on the DVD’s that disney puts out and usually on Tuesday I try to convince some one to take me to Walmart or some where.

Speaking of DVD’s I just bought “The Adventures of Robin Hood” staring Errol Flynn and Olivia deHavilland. I have no idea who is acting now a days but I definitely know some names of great american Actors and Actresses of 50 or so years ago(I just don’t feel like typing them and I don’t know how to spell some of them.) It is a wonderful movie but there was some bad language in the bonus features. But I give the movie five stars. It is wonderful, there is sword fighting, horseback riding, archery, daring escapes, beautiful dresses, romance, castles… bits of humor and a great plot! Of course as Andrew pointed out(he could find fault with ANY movie) it isn’t like most Robin Hood legends but they put in the main parts.

Other important news(if any of this is important which depends on your point of veiw) Is that I have not forgotten how to type quickly which is really nice. But what I meant to say is that I had my computer’s hard drive errased and a new opperating system put in. I think I meantioned that I dropped Eowyn and everything was not working properly. Now it does! Fortunately I backed up nearly everything on my Fire wire hard drive but I didn’t back up my Kung-log password(Kung-log is the blog program I use to post) so I couldn’t post. But no trouble for the great Daniel Von Fange!!! I was able to make a new user so now you will see “Posted by Elizabeth” instead of “Posted by evf”. I think he forgot to capitalize Evf. So now I can post!

Now for recent events all though I just mentioned the most recent event but on Wednesday in the dark, still hours before dawn we took of in “Harvey” the RV(Mom named our motor home that. I don’t know why) to head to Sunny Florida to go to LDI. LDI stands for something to do with Lighting, and all of the people there have something to with lighting, It’s a convention in case I haven’t mentioned the fact. Everybody that is an “Exhibitor” sets up a booth. The bigger the booth the more expensive and more prestigeous the company, or they spend more on advertising and pretending to be big. Most of them have annoying lights flashing, annoying music playing(The booth next to us, but they made up for it by having free popcorn.) or something. But some of the booths were nice boring places. Or nice interesting places that had plasma screens with Finding Nemo on. And there were several booths that had confetti and I picked up some(from the floor, I enjoyed watching them demonstrate their product to customers) and I am going to enjoy it. Our booth was very nice. I know that Henry Tilney considers word “nice” as over used and non descriptive so I shall refer you over to Daniel’s website (braino.org) for pictures and description. His current post doesn’t have any pictures but his next one probably will.

Since that paragraph was sufficiently long I shall switch to another paragraph about LDI. I don’t really like walking and I am think of buying a Sedgeway(I don’t really know how to spell this so I hope I am right), skate board, scooter, or convincing my Mom to let me bring my bicycle. I think Sedgeways are cool(pardon the modern language) but expensive, Skate boards seem dangerous and I doubt I would like one very much but they aren’t expensive, and scooters are a little less fun than a bicycle, take up less room, and are more affordable. But I think I’ll just bring my bicycle to the next convention. Wow! This is all ready a decently long paragraph and I haven’t even gotten to the subject yet!!! Well I am back in posting mode and I guess that explains it. Any I way I did a LOT of walking all over the place in Florida and I didn’t enjoy most of it. I’ll leave it at that I don’t think I’ll talk about the day I burst into tears(a rare occurrence that means I have been eating some sugary or white flourery or that I am REALLY upset.(that was a combination of all three…))while walking. I think I just invented a new word, “Flourery” but I probably didn’t.

Still on the subject Florida, my parents thought it would be nice to rent a house. So they rented a house. It was very nice, we had our own private swimming pool but since we were almost never at the house I only got to go swimming once(but that was a lot of fun!). I had my own room and it had twin beds which was very nice, one bed to throw all of my stuff on and another to sleep on. At home I have to clear my bed off when I want to lay down. We did not go to any amusement parks or dinner things all though I really, really, really wanted to go to Medieval times but since a ticket costs $40.00 dollars and there are six of us… We went to Outbacks, Carabas, and other Restaurants instead. We had Golden Corral for breakfast every morning and that was delicious! If you are ever in Orlando(I think I forgot to mention that that was our destination) make sure you eat there, this is not a paid advertisement. The food was excellent and probably still is.

I have only been back at home for about three hours which hasn’t been very long. I have slightly unpacked but there really isn’t much reason to unpack much since we are leaving for another trip Friday morning early.

I can’t believe I almost forgot a VERY important thing that happened on the way down. We stopped at a gas station(we usually stop at gas stations as do most people) and since stopping at a gas station really isn’t that interesting I didn’t think anything about it until my Dad said that they had swords in the gas stations. SWORDS!!! Oh bliss, Oh Joy, Oh something or other. They even had more than swords. They had helmets(sadly I was not to well off financially since I have been to lazy to work or else…) chain mail, Battle Axes, Daggers, and of course SWORDS!!! I limited my self to not spending more than thirty dollars but… I spent thirty two and got two swords and three daggers. Their prices were amazingly low and the swords and daggers were of good quality for the price. And I needed some new daggers any way… I now have a total of twelve swords and daggers and the all fit conveniently under my bed. Of course I would never use them on any body and they aren’t “Battle Worthy” or sharpened but they are perfect for I want them for. Something to pose with in pictures, show off, and something to hold and swing when I feel like it. Someday I want to learn how to Fence(Why on earth do they call sword fighting Fencing?).

That is all for right now. I will try to start posting every day again. So Farewell and may your eyries receive you at your journeys end.(I don’t mean to call you an eagle or expect you to know the polite thing to say back. Which is “May the wind bear you to where the sun sails and the moon walks” said Gandalf who knew the correct reply.(For those of you who are looking through LOTR don’t say that he never said that because he did, just in “The Hobbit” and if you haven’t read that remarkable peice of literature, you should!))

For those of you who have read thus far, Thank you, I hope that you have enjoyed this post and will enjoy many more on Bethjoy.com.
