Worse than Mordor?

To explain the situation, After the end of the Sixth grade I started a new school course where I did all of my school on the computer. Before that time I was working out of work books, and like a normal child, not liking it. School on the computer was nice because I got a laptop to do it on and was able to figure out how to switch between the school program and other things. Since we normally had a timer that would tick very slowly through the half hour of school and very fast through the half hour of break

Poetry?

Today at lunch I was looking at Buckie, my brother John’s dog as he expectantly looked for food. Buckie will do a lot for food, especially steak, and since I had just read something on limericks/poetry forms I decided to do something and here it is.

There once was a dog named Buckie
His owners were so very lucky
When you held up food
It would alter his mood
Oh such an obedient dog was Buckie

But only when around food :)

Okay, that wasn’t the correct way but it worked…

So I finally did something with track back. In this program it has something that you can put it like this a href=”URL”> I took out the first mark which was a > so that it won’t act like one. Now where do you put the things? I tried putting the Url(What does that stand for anyway? Ugly Rich Loons?) but that didn’t work because it didn’t show up. That happened in a previous effort and tussle with trackback but now I want to talk about the post I got it to work on. First, I don’t know what I did… I went to Daniels website and found the post then I clicked the Track Back feature and found

Oops, I spoke too soon

On my first version of the bellow post I said that this was my first successful Track back operation, it wasn’t. Ha Ha. Why couldn’t they have made it a bit easier to use? I guess it works for a person with the exact thought pattern of the person who made it but have you ever met two people with the exact same thought pattern? Oh well, back to the old drawing board. Or as the Music Man says it “Experimentation, Trial and Error…”

I AM FAMOUS!!!

My brother Daniel may have been excited when he got his name put in a magazine magazine but I was even more excited when some one wrote a comment on my website! I am so glad that some one other than immediate family/friends have come to my website. I think I try and convince Daniel to put a feature on my website where I can look and see who has been to my website and what they looked at. Apparently my Mac experiences are interesting so maybe I should put more stuff about them up? So far I don’t think I have done to many things on my Mac out of the ordinary but who knows? I may be the only person with a Mac Ibook that has named it Eowyn and the only person with several folders in Igpay Atinlay and even a few in Eggegg Teggalk. AND I might be the only person who has a Mac who also has a PC called Arwyn and can use both and enjoys both finds that if something doesn’t work on one, it will probably work on the other.

My Brother Daniel…

Is a very nice brother who tells me when I ought to put something on here. Hopefully he will enjoy reading this…

In the first case, I was talking to him, this evening, about my interesting way of running Email. Since I have a Mac and who but Morons(Mac observers, runners of Nothing(but PC))(And that bit of on the spot genius took me a while. All today I was thinking out what Moron could stand for and I know what an Ostrich army eats, Marching Ostrich’s Red Ostrich Noodles.) doesn’t, I will say that in Mac OS 10 there is a wonderful feature,

The Junk Mail Feature(new paragraph, the why of this will follow)

Is a delightful feature that is supposed to keep your inbox free of Junk. It is well trained to immediately spot Spam and put it a junk folder that you can review and delete at your leisure(I spelled this word right on my first try. I am amazed).

Now for why this is being posted, I have an interesting way of using this trainable feature. I don’t receive Email I don’t want but I do receive to different types of Email, namely Email from people and Email from something else. These can also be categorized as Emails I reply to(from friends, family, and acquaintances(not many of these and I did not spell the word right the first time.)) and Email from websites, for instance my Daily Dilbert(did you know that spellcheck does not recognize the word Dilbert?) and a few other newsletters and updates and so forth.

So I made the mail sorter do something, my “To Answer” Emails go to my Inbox and my “Not to Answer” Emails go to my Junk folder. And I look forward to the Spam(Specially Positioned Authorized Mail) that goes into my Junk folder.

To explain the many paragraphs in this, when Daniel said I ought to do a post he said “Use paragraphs” there for I am using paragraphs and I hope that he enjoys this and I hope that any one else who reads this will enjoy it.

“You couldn’t say No to that.” “Yes, yes, we could. Spoiling nice fish, scorching them. Give us fish now and forget nasty chips.” Sorry but that floated through my head and I typed it. It is from the Lord of the rings in case you don’t know. And if you haven’t read ALL of the book, do so. It is well worth the time invested and though it took me almost three days to read I enjoyed all of it, though I think J.R.R.Tolkien writes cliffhangers that puts you through agony and torture almost as great as that his characters went through. But at least everything was tied together in the end though we never found out what happened to the Oliphunt Sam saw. I really do wonder what happened to it…

Eowyn’s White Chargers

Eowyn, my Ibook, has been haveing a great deal of trouble with her chargers lately and I do not mean her horses. This was the first time that one of my computers has been down and it was not because of something internal or monitorial about the computer. The white charger that came with the computer and has suffered through almost one and a half years of hard work finally decided to quit. So it did and on Tuesday night the light went of and it no longer charged. This happened late at night when I really should have been asleep and I thought that the power might have been shut off so that I would get to sleep. SO I turned off Eowyn and went to sleep. The next morning I was rather upset when I found that it didn’t work and I frantically called Daniel and asked him how much another charger would cost. After he looked it up on a website and told me that it would be about a hundred dollars we went to Comp Usa and found that they did not carry Ibook Chargers!!! After being a whole day without Eowyn I was rather frantic and a new charger was ordered from Tiger direct Thursday. In the intervening time I turned on Arwyn and actually started to use her. I hadn’t used her in a while but I found that she had internet connection and I knew she had a bunch of fun programs on her. But when the new charger came I immediatly abandoned her and plugged in Eowyn and had a very fun time using her for a few hours then found that the charger that had been sent was a factory defect and stopped working. I am begining to suspect a deeply laid plot by Arwyn to get me to use her instead of Eowyn. It has worked somewhat, if it is a plot, I didn’t get another working charger in until a few hours ago and instead of immediately plugging Eowyn in and using her, I finished what I was doing on Arwyn. And I hope this Charger works because I haven’t yet figured out a way to video edit on Arwyn. But if I needed too I probably could…

I had a very enjoyable time…

I saw a lacrosse game, the extended version of “The Fellowship of the Ring” at my cousins house, and lots of cherry blossoms in Washington. I also ate a lot of ice cream that I really shouldn’t have eaten.
Itinerary.
Friday, the drive up to my cousins house. We went to Cracker barrel for lunch. I had a fun time there with my PDP and my cousin.
Saturday, I saw the first lacrosse game I have ever seen. My cousin’s team was playing a visiting team and when we left and the beginning of the second half the score was 3 to 11 in favor of the visiting team. We got my grandmother’s house on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday, Washington DC. I had a rather long walk from Union station to the Basin where the cherry blossoms were. I am not a good walker and the distance was quite a few miles so by the time we went round the basin my feet were killing me, and even my grandmother thought a taxi to the station was a good Idea. Pictures follow later, the only time I pulled out my camera was in Washington.
Monday, Shopping mainly. I spent a lot of money on jewelry and bought a few presents for my family.
Tuesday, My first solo flight. Although there were quite a few people in the airplane it was the first time I had been in an airplane without a relation. I got home in one piece with all of my luggage. That was nice. Now after the vacation I find that my dislike for Mordor has increased.(Clarification, I have nicknamed the place I work Mordor:) It isn’t quite as bad as the real Mordor but it sort of fits.
