THE SWORD!!!

I came, I saw, I purchased. should probably be my motto. Any way we have some good friends at church and they work with the youth and have a nice office in the youth building. They had just gotten this knife collection that Mr. D had ordered and it had a sword included. Well… Suffice it to say that the sword is currently in my room right now. It is a very nice sword, it is straight, has a sheath, is about 36 inches long and is very impressive looking. So I bought it. Most people don’t walk out of a church’s youth building carrying a sword and Robbie(Mrs. D) and I were giggling at the very interesting expressions on the faces of different people. I was very glad that Robbie was with me as there are a few security guards there and they probably would have detained me if they both hadn’t been friends with my family and knew what Von Fanges were capable of(we do many things at our church, Some are very proper and right like running camera and some aren’t like standing board by the lighting control switch and slowly dimming the lights to see if anybody would notice(I plead guilty) and many other things). I have a fun time. And today has been a very nice day, A wedding dress, a sword, and a lot of jewelry, very very nice but I now owe $35.00 to my Mom due to various purchases that were beyond my present cash supply. Fortunately Tuesday is pay day… And I hope that Daniel will make it so I can post pictures very soon, because I have some swords to take pictures of!

Today I bought a Wedding Dress

Which should excite no surprise considering the fact that I am fifteen and live in South Carolina. The dress is extremely beautiful!!! When I saw it I was really hoping that it would fit because it is very hard for me to find a dress that really does fit. I was afraid of it being to small but it really did fit. It’s white(of course) and has a high waistline and there is a lot of lace every where. The skirt is very full and just barely touches the floor so I can “swoosh” or walk where ever I want to without difficulty and it looks very nice. When I can post pictures I will try to post pictures of this dress. Of course when I get married I will probably post pictures on here too but that won’t be happening within the near future unless something really drastic happens. Actually I am not even engaged yet and nobody is taking me out to dinner etc. except my parents and the only reason I bought a wedding dress is that is was really beautiful and it was the right price.

As you can probably guess I went to the thrift store today and I bought a lot as usual. I didn’t get as much clothing as usual but I stuck it rich with the jewelry. The thrift store is my favorite place for pearls, the all seam to be about 99 cents for a strand of pearls. I also got a cameo, locket, gold chains… and THE RING OF DOOM Actually it really isn’t the the One Ring because I didn’t turn invisible when I put it on and the actual one was destroyed in Mount Doom and… Also it the writing is plain and clear and it hasn’t even been near a fire. But it was the writing that told me that it was a replica and since it had the delightful price of 75 cents I immediately bought. I got 12 pieces of jewelry in total. Over all I had a really fun time and I do like my new wedding dress. It is very beautiful and I am going to enjoy it.

Yesterday…

I broke my PDP(Personal DVD player) a month or so ago but I had a replacement warranty on it so I was able to go back to the store I got it from and get a new one. And did I get a new one!!! I got one that was different than the one I had gotten previously. Instead of full screen I now have wide screen. Better speakers, bigger and much superior screen and it has a few extras the other didn’t have. I am mainly posting about it so that I will know when I got it. That way I know when the warranty expires.

FINALLY!!!

I got John’s birthday present for me. It completely surprised me, he threw a tennis ball at me and I thought that was all that he was giving me. But it wasn’t and that is fortunate for him because I would have made a post on Brothers that would not have been complementary to him. But as it is I got a cute little Moose. Actually my Moose isn’t so small but is still smaller than a real moose. It is in “Moose skin” style and very cute. I like it. And it was a surprise. So my brothers have all given me something and are now no long to be termed miserly, just a bit stingy on green portraits of dead presidents. And just for reference Green pennies don’t really count but I’ll take them.

Research, Dress, and a Renaissance Faire

I am going to an Elizabethan Renaissance Faire. Of course that means a new dress, and in my case, more than one. I am currently making an Elizabethan court dress. I have been doing tons of research on Renaissance faires and on Elizabethan dresses. The best of silks, satins, and velvets were used on these dresses. So I was thinking about going to Walmart and hoping that they had something nice on sale when I suddenly realized that I have a HUGE collection of the finest silks, satins, and velvets which all happen to made up into dresses but never the less have a great deal of yardage in them. I go to the thrift store with the exact intention of buying fabric so of course I would have some. And I have one that without much(if any) alteration will work great for the bodice part of the dress. Last night I made an outer skirt that looks very nice and I already had a hoop skirt. Plus I have some great white sleeves in another dress that I made. So my list of things I need is dropping. I just need a good under skirt but I am thinking of a material for that, and I all ready have it!!!

More about birthdays…

On Sunday we went to Bucca de Beppos, an Italian restaurant with very good food. We had chocolate cake and ice cream for desert(I am currently sick and have been for the past few days, but it was worth it.) and Daniel gave me flowers!!! It was very nice of him although I would have liked it if he had added a green picture of a dead president to his note. But John… He says he has a present for me but I still haven’t seen it yet. I think he has one for me but I am beginning to doubt it. I was going to wait until I got it to post but I think I should go ahead and post.

I suppose I ought to put in something funny, something amusing, and something interesting. So I shall try writing something.

Once upon a time there was not a princess who was not beautiful and did not live in a beautiful palace. She was not placed under an evil spell by a fairy and the princess did not fall into an enchanted sleep for a hundred seconds. She was not awakened by a prince because she did not fall asleep and since the princess never existed .

Hmm… I am not sure which category to put that in, probably amusing and maybe funny but not very interesting. I suppose I should try again.

Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, in the twenty-first century AD something happened, I made a post. Actually that wasn’t what I was going to say but it typed out on me and since I have all ready erased three different openings for this I think I shall let it stay. I am typing very rapidly right now and that is very good despite the fact that I am not typing very much of interest. I suppose I should type down useful bits of information like what made the Hindenburg blow up(we just went to the library and checked out some educational videos) or where Panama hats are made. But I think I won’t:)
