Ben Hur: the comentary

Currently I am watching the Overture. Very impressive movie score, I think I might enjoy this. I’ve read the book but it was a long time ago. I think he got married and I hope he will in the movie. The music very lovely! I suppose I shouldn’t be staying up as late as I am going to since the movie is over three hours long but… I might not watch all of it.

The credits are currently rolling. Just before them was the scene of Jesus’s birth in the manger.

Things are currently happening for the credits are done, hundreds of Roman Soldiers are on the march. And since I don’t intend to type for the entire duration of the movie I am going to stop for a bit.

I thought the girl’s name was Esther. Currently I’m multitasking, I’m watching Ben Hur and playing on Neopets.com. But right now I’m just writing on my post. Every time I start a new paragraph it will mean that I have progressed a bit more into the movie.

Currently he’s a galley slave and the battle is about to begin. If I remember corectly the boat sinks and he saves the leaders life.

The battle is pretty exciting… Boats are sinking every where and the music is really going. Firess are blazing and things are happening. They are about to be rammed.

They just were rammed and the boat is about to go down. I think this may be an interesting movie. He just grabbed the keys from the warden and is unlocking the galley slaves. Fire is all over the ship. It will soon be down but most of the galley slaves won’t be on it. This is a very exciting movie. He just saved the life of the captain who saved his by keeping him unlocked. I suppose I should let you just buy the movie and then see what happens.

The story has progressed quite a bit more. They did change it a bit from the book, but still, it is rather romantic in a way. I hope I get to the chariot race soon.

Finally I have gotten to the intermission. I am thankful that I have the skip button so that I will not be up all night. This move is almost four hours long. And I started it past nine!

With ample use of the skip button(for I took a few breaks) I have now reached the end and it is only a bit passed midnight. So now I’m going to bed.

Verdict: A very, very, impressive movie. Six stars on a Six Star scale.

Surprisingly the porsche did not burst…

Now with that very interesting title written I shall mention what was done today.

Before I go further I would like to mention the fact that Mom now owns a nice little porsche. It was bought for my brothers but since they havn’t paid for it yet, Mom has it. It has a back-seat (in a manner of speaking) that probably could fit a… a… two year old if it wasn’t too large in. Also it has a rather small area in the back to put things in.

To get on with this Mom took me shopping in the porsche. We went to three stores and the mall. Now Mom and I are both shoppers and we both usually manage to buy great amounts of things when ever we shop. So… Stop one, K-Mart. Various things amounting to about a bag full for Mom and a Windshield guard. Also we got Cheaper by the Dozen their(see previous post). I found an adorable set of three dolls called Wee 3 friends that I just had to buy. One nice thing about not growing up to fast is that even at the mature age of fifteen one can buy dolls and play with them. It is a large set and took up a bit of room but we weren’t too hard pressed for room.

Then we went to the mall. Usually that would mean a great out poring of cash but I was good and didn’t buy anything. I don’t think Mom did either(she had gone in to return something) but I don’t remember. At the next stop, Office Depot, Mom got some various office supplies and I got three educational computer programs and since they were educational I didn’t have to pay for them:)

The next stop was garden ridge were I got rid of a bunch of ones that had been bothering me and burning a hole in my pocket by buying some various lace and trimming things. Mom bought a large plastic plant which I doubted would fit in the porsche, but it did. It took up one and half seat and the space in between but it did fit. So now we were rather crowded and since I had put my stuff at my feet I was beginning to feel like there wasn’t enough room.

By now, Then we ended up at Sam’s Club were Mom was buying groceries. And since it was groceries they took up the whole back. At Sam’s they had some new DVDs(Great cause of rejoicing) and among them was Ben Hur which I have been wanting to watch. Also, since it was very hot out and the air conditioning on the Porsche wasn’t doing very much Mom got some little orange juice packs for us to drink.

When we got into the car to head home it was a bit crowded for we now had a lot of stuff added. I sat holding little orange juices(there was no drink holder), with DVD’s, Computer programs, a lot of mail(I had neglected to say that we had stopped at the post office and we had gotten a LOT of mail there), and a bunch of other stuff. But it was very fun, though my Mom could definitly use some practice at driving a manual. Jerk, Screech, Bump, Jerk, Jerk, Strange engine noise, and a few more jerks.

So now I have Ben Hur to watch and several computer programs to paly and I am currently in a debate of what to do next.

Oh, and on Friday morning Mom, Dad, and I are going to Arkansas for the weekend and will be back by Monday morning.

This is actually not a random story!

Not being able to think of a good title for what this is I thought I would use what it isn’t.

To continue, Tonight we watched “Cheaper By the Dozen”,, not the horrible modern movie that came out recently but a 1950’s movie that was not only based on the book, nearly everything that happened in it happened in the booK! It was very enjoyable and rather funny.

There was a scene were the oldest daughter was going to her first dance/date and her father was accompanying her. When we were in a slower part afterwards I turned to my father and asked him if he was going to miss the singular honor of going with me to dances. I don’t think he’ll miss not going to much, especially since I probably will never go to a dance until I’m married. Mom says I can start dating when I’m forty-six and anyway, by that time my Dad probably won’t feel like escorting me.

Any way, it’s kind of nice not to have to worry about those things yet, as a character in one of my stories is going to say “I want to be a little girl for as long as possible”.

Besides that, even when and if (MAJOR if) I ever go on a date whoever takes me is going to have some tuff competition, all of the heros of my stories and the main characters of Henty stories. No there are some young men that could win (and did win) the hearts of a young ladies. Strong, Moral, Brave, Handsome, Quick Thinking…. and I could have a list that goes on.

Any way, since I’m not getting a learners permit until I’m twenty-five and the insurance goes down on a car and I don’t really want to have relationships until I’m driving I don’t really have to worry about any of this for about ten years. I pity the poor unfortunate public school girls around my age that already have to worry about these things. Oh, the joys of home schooling and wonderful parents!
