Birthday Wishlist

Perhaps two months in advance is a bit early for writing a birthday wish list but… I wrote one anyway. I’ll probably write another closer to my birthday but this for those who think ahead, and also so I’ll know what to buy myself for my birthday. I wrote this partially for the shopping convenience of my brothers but I may as well post a copy of my Birthday Wishlist on here, just in case somebody else might actually want to buy me a present and would like some hints! I would say that the fabric or giftcards would be the best selection since multiples of those would be pleasant:)

So here it is. And I’ll be turning sixteen just so you know.

Elizabeth’s Birthday Wish List

I have attempted to write this in characteristic Elizabeth style so that years from now you can look back and remember Elizabeth Von Fange, how nice she was, the funny way she wrote, and all of the things that you didn’t buy her for her sixteenth birthday.
All of the items on this list are in no particular order but any item on it would be nice. Especially the Ibook… I have listed probable price and where to find the items so that there should not be too much difficulty in finding them. I don’t expect ALL of these items but I would like a couple at least…

Ibook $1100.00(apple.com)
Digital Camera $?(probably Comp Usa)
4 yd of purple(or any color) velvet$16.00(it’s $4.00 a yard)(Walmart)
Star Wars DVD set WIDESCREENE EDITION, there is a full screen edition$50.00(Anywhere that sells DVD’s, Sams might be least expensive. It comes out on September 21)
Legends of Ireland Collection Faerie Queen Barbie$25.00(Toys R Us)
$2.00 satin at Walmart, any color will do. Preferably in greater quantities than three yards
The Master of Ballantrae staring Errol Flynn $18.00(amazon.com)
Prince and the Pauper also staring Errol Flynn $18.00(amazon.com)
The Court Jester staring Danny Kaye $12.29(amazon.com)
Simplicity Pattern 9761 size twelve(Civil War Outfit)$8.00(Walmart)
Mcall Pattern 4414 size twelve(Medieval ball gown) $8.00(Walmart)
Iris Embroidery Sewing Machine $1100.00(Sewing Machine Store)
Serger $?(Sewing Machine Store)
Tiara $10.00 to $50.00+(Claires and another store in the Mall)
SWORDS!!! $?(Gun Show and elsewhere)
Jewelry, specifically a gold rainbow bracelet I saw at Target for $40.00
Also, cash, giftcards(Target, Walmart, Toys R Us etc.), and pleasant surprises(surprises like giving me nothing will not be appreciated) are perfectly acceptable.

Just think, several of these items are under $20.00 and probably cost about as much(or less) as a nice dinner in a restaurant that will be eaten and then gone! So…

Remember September 26th!!!

August 2, 2004

What is a title but a bunch of words?

Sometimes thinking up titles for these posts is a bit difficult. Soon it will be September 26th. Some may wonder what significance September 26th may have, but that date is very very important. At least to me because on September 26th, 2004 I will turn sixteen years old. Doesn’t that sound exciting? I can remember when the heroines of my stories were always sixteen years old and got married at that age and lived happily ever after… Now, with my advancing years, I make the heroines of my stories the more mature ages of seventeen through twenty-five. I hate to think just how old the heroines of my stories will be when I turn thirty!

Last birthday was very fun. Mom and I went shopping and I had a very enjoyable time. I’m hoping to do the same thing this birthday to. Since I am hoping that Mom and Dad will get me a new Ibook for my Birthday I’ll probably pay for everything I buy on the shopping trip but buying oneself a lot of birthday presents in addition to the ones I hope to receive is not too bad of an idea. After all, one only turns sixteen once.

I feel that it is time for a nice long post since it has been a while since I wrote one. I haven’t been working on stories and writing very much. So it is now about time. I wonder… I’d like to write a story for on here but should I write it in this post or put it in a new one… Hmmm…. I know! I’ll put it at the end of this post that way if I print it off for my family to read the fact that my birthday is fast approaching will be read also.

But now that I have decided to write it in this post what shall the story be about? I think it would be kind of fun to take some fairly random elements and put them together so that they make sense. All though considering how tired I am right now I doubt they’ll make much since. Let’s see. I think there should be a: 1. pet cat, 2. green goldfish, 3. rusty key that changes into a bird, 4. treasure chest full of jewels, 5. Mac Ibook, 6. beautiful princess, 7. ugly princess, 8. prince with a talking horse, and last of all, 9. an ugly old toad who wants to be Emperor of the World. That should be quite enough to begin with so now it is time to write the story which I shall simply call,

Random Numbered Fairy Tale One

Once upon a time, a long time ago, there were two princesses. One was very beautiful(6)and the other was very ugly(7). One day the ugly princess, who was very tired of being ugly, went to see a wise woman to ask just how she could stop being ugly and become beautiful. So she got her pet cat(1) and set off. When she arrived at the home of the wise woman she was out in her garden feeding her green goldfish(2). By the side of the goldfish pond was an ugly old toad who wanted to be Emperor of the World(9) but couldn’t because the current holder of that title didn’t want to sell the copyrighted name.

The ugly princess asked the wise woman just how she could become beautiful and the wise woman told her that beauty was, to some extant, in the eye of the beholder and that some day there would be prince who think that she was very, well maybe not think she was dazzlingly beautiful but he would at least think that she was pretty, and would marry her. The ugly princess was pleased when she heard this and thanked the wise woman and then began to begin her journey back.

But before she had gone far the wise woman called after her and told her that the prince who would fall in love with her was currently being held prisoner by the High President of the Ants of the Rind and that he would need to be rescued. So the ugly princess decided to take her pet cat and attempt to rescue the prince. Along the way she was given a lift by a well manered prince who had a talking horse. So it was before sunset that she arrived near the giant ant hill of the Ants of the Rind.

As she approached she could here, from the other side of the ant hill, the ceremonial drum beats of the Ants of the Rind which indicated that they were just about to begin sacrificial rites upon a victim. Which meant that they were about to bite somebody. But fortunately for the victim(who happened to be the prince) help was at hand for the princess ran through the ranks of the Ants of the Rind(and these Ants were bigger than regular ants) and unbound him and together the two of them ran off.

The prince was so glad and thankful that he was rescued that he didn’t mind at all that the princess wasn’t beautiful but he did mind a bit that she didn’t have a dowry. But fortunately they saw a bird that suddenly changed itself into a rusty key(3)(sent by the wise woman now doubt) and the key opened a treasure chest full of jewels(4). So the two of them got married and lived happily ever after and their story was written down on a Mac Ibook(5), Ethay Endpay, or, The End.

Now don’t ask me where the Ants of the Rind came from, I have no idea… I hope you enjoyed the story.
