Today is Wednesday and I am not feeling well

Now I really am feeling the difficulties of choosing titles again. And I currently have a rather unpleasant headache and sore-throat. Of course there is a very logical reason for my being sick, I had a hot dog, cake, ice cream, etc. etc. and all of that sugar has made me ill. There could be other reasons too…

My creativity feels a bit low at the moment. But surprisingly I just started work on a new story. Every once in a while I get a desire to write something unusual and this story may be interesting. If I write it. I thought it would be fun to have a story with all sorts of characters, lots of characters. I also thought it would be fun to have a sort of serial epic where there is an adventure that takes lots of episodes before the ending comes and all of the different characters have plenty happen to them. I currently don’t have any adventures or plot so far, but I’ve been working on the setting and the seven core main characters. One of which will be Me:) Or at least primarily inspired by me as her name will be Elizabeth and her “Super Skill” is sewing and costume design. Hopefully the story will be fun to write and plan and will take up a lot of sick time.

I just put an audio recording of “The Hobbit” on my computer and I’m currently listening to it. Bilbo almost fell out of a pine tree.

And now as I have a lot to do (lol) I shall end this post. I’ll probably go to sleep soon, hopefully…

Here is a Postponed Post and it is 362 days until my birthday

This will probably be the last post for a while with how many days until my birthday written on it, but I couldn’t resist writing it once more this year. Sunday night I obtained from Andrew after excessive hinting a large quantity of loose change, which was apreciated, and had a lot of fun counting it out. I enjoy counting loose change and making it into piles and putting it into the little roles and taking it to the bank and getting cash for it and spending the cash and playing with what I bought.

Monday morning Mom and I went shopping. It was remarkable, I went through Dollar General, Toys R Us, and Kmart without buying a thing! But at Best Buy! I came, I saw, I purchased! Though in reality I only bought two DVD’s and used my $12.16 in gift cards for that.

My Birthday So Far!!!

This morning, after getting up and deciding what I would wear today, we went to church. I was running camera and there, on my camera, was a letter to “Elizabeth”. It was a birthday card from Bobby and I thanked her for it.

After Church we had lunch at a very nice Italian restaurant called Baca de bebo. There were five friends of John, Daniel, and Andrew. I believe there names were Scott, Shawn, Erin, Matt and Pricilla. Also the Diffys were there so we were a rather large party. The dinner was delicious, and especially the desert:) Since it was my birthday I got to partake of quite a bit of it. Then Mrs. Diffy handed me a very nice looking bag that had a stationary set, notebook, and a little box with a bracelet, in it. Then Daniel handed me a birthday card from a girl he knew. Then the alleged present from Daniel and Andrew showed up. Daniel made a speech about how I was turning “To Sixteen” and kept repeating that phrase. Then he handed me a Best Buy gift card for $2.16. I was slightly disappointed but very glad I had an excuse to go to Best Buy. Then he handed me another gift card, this one had a bit more on it, about $10.00 he told me. Mom and Dad got me another bouquet of flowers and two balloons. It was a delicious dinner.

But the biggest present(weight wise) was yet to come, for when I returned John gave me something on my list, a Serger!!!!!! This machine will be very useful when I am sewing. So so far it has been a very good birthday and I think I shall have a nap now as sleepy I am.

Then we went to Sam’s Club and I got twenty-four red roses and STAR WARS!!!!!!!!!!! The Wide Screen Edition. So I am very happy currently as I have some new toys to play with and enjoy. And I now have Star Wars on DVD:)

The day after tomorrow is my sixteenth birthday!

It is very nice not having to think up titles for posts. Today has been a delightfully lazy day as I’ve mainly spent laying around in bed playing on my computer. This evening I was watching “Hello Dolly” and decided on making a dress from the movies time period, so I did. I had some nice floral fabric and some lace. The final effect worked pretty well. So now, having written a post, I’m posting it!

DONE!!! 2

Well, today was a productive day! It is good to have productive days, if only to counter balance the many unproductive days. Today I finished a story, and what is more FINISHED THE ROUGH TRANSCRIPTION, which has been a project I have been working on for some time. It was high time to finish with it I can tell you. Also, on a side note, on Neopets I upgraded my bank account to two million neopoints. That was kind of nice. I’ve been giving Neopets a break and it was kind of fun to get back on for a little bit. I also watched several DVD’s today and even had company over! A little girl named Amy came over with her father and she and I played barbies. Despite the fact that I am turning sixteen on Sunday I still enjoy playing with Barbies. And now since I am actually rather tired, though it is only 10:15. i shall stop now.

DONE!!!

With that descriptive title I shall say what is done, a story. Or to be more exact “The Many Adventures of Richard Kalvar” or some such title. I may not post it yet, first I’ll let Daniel read it and give me an opinion of it. But it is done, at 10:33 AM which is quite an accomplishment for me to be typing at this early hour.

I am going to attempt writing a story and it is four days until my birthday!

I am going to try to write a story of length, or at least one in which many adventures occur. Whether I shall succeed in my object or not has yet to be determined. So let it begin…

Once upon a time there was a young man of about twenty-two who went out into the world to seek his fortune. He had never fallen in love, as of yet, and had managed to live a very quiet and peaceful life. His name was Marcus. He set out from the village of his birth and traveled to the capitol city of the kingdom of Kelve, which was moderately nearby. Marcus met with no adventure on the way to the main city for the way unto it was a main road on which persons who minded their own business and expected everybody else to mind their own mainly traveled. There was little trouble or adventure on that road but great dullness was there.

On arriving at the capitol of Kelve Marcus wandered around for a while before his first major adventure, and the reason for the rest of his adventures, occured. For suddenly, from the other end of the street, he heard a voice that was definitely not melodious yelling “Make way for her royal highness the Princess Dwelthia”. Marcus quickly made way but managed to make his way to a spot that commanded an excellent view of where the princess was going to pass. She passed but while she was passing the damage was done for with one look at the beauty of the Princess Dwelthia Marcus fell in love. Whether or not this was reasonable or not or whether it will aid to the happy ending of the story has yet to be determined but the fact that Marcus fell in love with Princess Dwelthia remains.

Now this princess was so very lovely that instead of having a dowry as most princess’s and ladies of rank had, she had a bride price. Which roughly meant that the man who wished to marry her would have to give her father something for the honor of having her hand in marriage. The main significance of this was that in Princess Dwelthia case, ANYBODY who had the bride price could marry her, even if he was a commoner like Marcus. This, as you may guess, put a gleam of hope in his breast, but only a gleam for the bride price of Princess Dwelthia was no less that the Diamond of Brightness that lay hid in the Caves of Darkness and was guarded by the Monster of Fierceness.

Still, even though he knew that many had unsuccessfully tried to obtain the Diamond of Brightness Marcus still decided to set off and try to obtain it. As he journeyed toward the Caves of Darkness Marcus learned that traveling through wilderness is quite different from traveling on main roads and that inns do not abound where travelers are few. But with the memory of Princess Dwelthia beauty always before him Marcus made light of difficulties and journeyed onward.

When he arrived at the Caves of Darkness and looked into them Marcus’s first thought was that the Caves of Darkness had little light in them. Therefore he light a torch and brought a few spares in with him so that he could see in the Caves of Darkness. Carefully he went through the caves searching for the Diamond of Brightness. Finally he saw it in all of its shining glory but he also saw the Monster of Fierceness! The Monster of Fierceness let out a roar that would have struck fear into the heart of anyone. But Marcus’s heart was so completely Princess Dwelthia’s that it had no room for fear. He stood and faced the Monster of Fierceness and calmly asked the Monster of Fiercenss if he would please give him the Diamond of Brightness so that he could take it and marry the Princess Dwelthia. The Monster of Fierceness looked puzzled, for usually strangers attacked him or tried to get the Diamond of Brightness instead of politely asking him for it. However the Monster of Fierceness quickly regained his composer and wits and told Marcus that since he asked so politely he could take the Diamond of Brightness but that if, in seven days time, a black cat did not cross his path he would eventually die. Marcus joyfully thanked the Monster of Fierceness for the Diamond of Brightness, which he carefully hid so that the other suiters of Princess Dwelthia would not forcibly attack him with their Weapons of Sharpness.

Quickly Marcus journeyed back to the capitol of Kelve and handed the stone to the king and demanded the Princess Dwelthia’s hand in marriage. He was generally stared at for few had succeeded in coming back alive and still fewer in one piece and that a young man, who bore no marks of the fierce wrath of the Monster of Fierceness, should bring the Diamond of Brightness to the king and demand the Princess Dwelthia’s hand in marriage was a very strange thing indeed. But the king granted the Princess Dwelthia’s hand in marriage to Marcus and she was brought in and Marcus thought her even more beautiful than he had remembered her to be.

So they were married and hopefully lived happily ever after but though Marcus had the Princess Dwelthia’s hand in marriage he didn’t have much else and as I doubt that charming young princess could do other than be a charming young princess his chances for nice hot meals on time may have been slim but being a young man well suited to difficulties if only he could have the object of his affections, I don’t think he minded. Besides I have a feeling he, at least, could cook. So probably they did live happily ever after. THE END

MORAL: Make certain that you try asking politely first before using other methods and make certain if you wish to have a nice clean house and well cooked meals that you marry somebody who can do it, that or learn how to do so yourself and make an attractive young lady who does not like such things very happy.

Well, there is as much story as I feel like writing this evening. Hopefully you enjoyed it and quite frankly, I do recommend learning to cook and clean if you are a young man(My Mother would flaunt the moral into my face if I omitted the young part) so that if you meet a charming, beautiful, and talented young lady who does not like such things you can do them and thus smooth out many domestic hitches. I think I need to read less of Dickens or something because my writing style is behaving strangely this evening. Perhaps it has something to do with my sixteenth birthday which is rapidly approaching. Presents would be nice. I do hope that no one thinks the previous sentence was random, because it had a distinct connection to the sentence before it. I think I’ll probably print this off tomorrow morning for breakfast as I haven’t been hinting a lot about my birthday recently, comparatively, and it may be time for some subtlety in my hinting processes. :) Oh, and the time is still off on my posts. I am finishing this around 12:10 AM on Thursday though I started on Wednesday.

Today was an “Interesting” day

Interesting how “Interesting” can mean so many things… Positive things happened today and negative things. The main events that happened were: I took a nap for most of the morning, I rode my bicycle instead of transcripting, I took another nap for most of the afternoon, Then, feeling too sleepy to transcribe, I actually worked on cleaning up my room and I probably cleared about four square feet of carpet which had not seen the light for many a day, I then proceeded to play a computer game instead of video editing or transcripting but I did win the computer game, Also I put ten cd’s of classical music on my computer and let me tell you, this computer is FAST!!! On Eowyn the music would go into Itunes at an average of 2x or at most 3x, and that was with NOTHING else running. This computer, 10x with plenty of stuff on and running. Very nice:)

Oh, and one word about the posting times on this laptop, the times are erroneous. In other words the time it says I post is not the time I actually did post. I’m currently writing this about 11:51 PM but it will probably say something else time wise. So just ignore it.

This Sunday I will be Sixteen!!! And tomorrow Star Wars comes out on DVD for those of you who want to know, all though those of you who want to know are probably already aware of the fact. This is not a paid advertisement. Someday…

ADVERTISE YOUR PRODUCT HERE!!!

I suppose that probably won’t do anything… Oh well.

September 17, 2004

My, I am surprised!

I thought I didn’t feel like writing a short story, but apparently I was wrong for in the past several minutes I have just written a story. Here it is and as I had no idea where the story was going when I started it, well, I think that is sufficient explanation, onward to the story! But one last comment, this story has an excellent Moral that should be carefully observed. I do like writing stories with Morals in them.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful young princess. However, unlike most beautiful young princesses, she actually was not the main female character of the story and does not marry the hero. For this is a tale of opposites, or at least a tale of the unexpected. now this princess’s mother had died when she was born and her father, the king, had married again. Unlike many stories that involve stepmothers this lady was very kind to the daughter of her predecessor and having no children of her own she grew very fond of the young princess.
One of the greatest treasures of the kingdom was a chest. This chest could change size, from so small that it could conveniently fit in your pocket, to larger than a castle. The real wonder was, that whatever you put in there would not change size but would be perfectly safe until taken out again. There was one strange thing about the chest though, nobody then alive had ever seen it change size and no one had ever been able to open the chest as it was heavily locked and no key for it could be found. But still it was well guarded and considered one of the wonders of the world and many were those who went to see it. These were many and despite the fact that a hefty admission was charged, which was the main reason it was regarded as a national treasure as the income was greater than that brought in by taxes.
Now, as you may or may not guess, neither the beautiful princess nor the valuable have anything to do with the story you are about to hear, or read. For far away there lived an honest though poor blacksmith who got tired of being an honest though poor blacksmith so he decided to do something about it. The first thing he did was to change into a dishonest though poor blacksmith but when that changed him into a dishonest though poor jailbird he decided that the change was not as agreeable as it should have been. So he decided to become a free though hungry escaped convict and that idea seeming a good one he tried to execute it. He did manage to escape, though I don’t have the slightest idea how, and made his way onto a ship intending to stow away and sail to distant shores.
However he neglected to find out what sort of a ship he was on and he was not very pleased to find that he had stowed away on a mad scientists ship who was experimenting with the proper way to roast eels using lighting under water.
This was not the only experiment the scientist was working on, indeed it wasn’t. In case of lighting and eels not being forth coming the scientist wanted to know if a fresh water fish could be cooked in salt water on top of an iceberg and if the fish fell out of the pot without anybody there to see it would the ice berg still wreck a ship?
The scientist had puzzled on the question for quite some time, and it even began to take precedence over the Eel Experiment. So he decided that he would first run a series of tests on what happened when a ship ran up against an iceberg. As he happened to have a ship at his disposal he decided to find an iceberg and run his ship against it. The crew refused to do so and our Hero, for so I fear he must be called, was the leader in the mutiny. So the locked the scientist up and left him to ponder the imponderable and wonder why, if he could ponder it, the imponderable was still called the imponderable.
Under the joyous though seasick Ex-Blacksmith’s careful guidance the ship went on to a much different experiment, one that involved going back to the mainland and landing there. This done they left the ship, after releasing the scientist, and left him to experiment with sailing, which he did and he actually went around the world in less than eighty days, providing, of course, that your definition of a day is 349 hours.
The happy though still poor ex-blacksmith began his return to his native home with the feeling that for all that he had gained from his trying to change himself he should have just remained an honest though poor blacksmith. This weighed so heavily upon his mind that when he returned to his smithy he decided that once again he would be an honest though poor blacksmith and he became one again and so was happy for the rest of his day.

MORAL: Sometimes being just the way you are is far superior to what you probably would change yourself into and always look and inquire before stowing away on a boat.

So now, as it is past eleven, I think I’ll go to bed early for a change and say goodnight now.
