MEDIOCRELY IMPORTANT NEWS FLASH!!!

I just got a CAR KEY!!! I was about to name this post, “Big important news flash” but I think that that would be more appropriate if I got a car or a Walmart Gift card or got asked out to dinner, or I got published. And please note that some of those items are not as important as others.

But at anyrate I now have a key to the van. Which will be very nice as that means that if I want to let myself into the van I can! Or if I want to walk a little faster than Mom or Dad I can let myself in and have the van unlocked by the time they arrive. Oh, and speaking of Walmart I went there today and though I know that my Birthday is not until September I shall here state that Walmart Gift Cards make great presents…

I bought another Star Wars action figure. I felt as though I didn’t have enough villains so I bought Admiral Ozzle… He ought to do well as a villain and since I do not have a Darth Vader action figure he won’t have to worry about his neck… And in case you don’t know what I am talking about watch “The Empire Strikes Back” and pay careful attention when Admiral Viet gets his promotion…

It is remarkable for how short a time I work on a story

I suppose one of the main reasons I usually don’t mention when I am working on a story is because I typically don’t keep on working on a story for very long, and then it sort of just idly sits on my computer and in my head until I work on it again for a little while. Now my not sticking with things is not only clear in my story writing, but in quite a lot of other things as well which makes me think that not finishing things, unless I can complete them in a very short period of time, is a flaw of my character. Which is rather bothersome and yet, kind of nice. I have great variety in my life, sometimes I sew, sometimes I knit, sometimes I just sleep, sometimes I write, sometimes I watch DVD’s, Sometimes I spend a whole lot of time on my computer, and sometimes, on rare occasions, I do school. But if I want to be a good enough writer to get something I published I ought to stick with my stories longer. Or at least learn how to type super fast and get it all done before I’m tired of it and want to move on:)

I have just been typing a story about a Prince named Aralthan whose father is named Aralthan. It’s quite interesting. I felt like typing a short romantic story plot about a prince who rescues a beautiful princess and then as I was working on background the story of the prince’s father came up and when I had decided on writing a part one and a part two of the story it suddenly struck me that I ought to have a Part Three to even things out and that opened up a new story… Ideas were actually flowing quite rapidly and I probably have at least four pages of good story ideas and development. True I may not continue writing on this story but it does have potential. There is a LOT of action in it, with dragons, swordfights, kidnappings, engagements, etc. which probably means that this story is beyond my current capabilities as a writer but who knows, I may be better writing the action/excitement parts than I think.

You know, I think that a good dinner really helps my writing capabilities… And also I think that watching about ten hours worth of DVD’s in the past three days helps too…

It really is remarkable but several stories I’ve written are based on music. A particular piece of music would somehow inspire the writing and then I would just play the song, or songs, over and over while I wrote. This typically results in my getting sick and tired of both song and story but… I can think of three examples right off where I started work on a story because of music on a DVD. Some movies allow you to listen only to the music while the movie is playing and some DVD’s have music videos…

I suppose that since I still feel like typing I really ought to go back to work on my current story, or maybe go to sleep. I think that going to sleep is a good idea for me, if not for the story, and at any rate, this post is now over.

I had an especially delicious dinner tonight!

I got to eat one of my favorite meals today. Tortolini Alifini and despite the fact that I really like to eat it, I can’t spell it. The way my Dad makes it is the BEST. I enjoy eating it greatly.

So I am now about to go to bed, or I am in bed but I shortly will be going to sleep, however if I can manage it I hope to write a bit more before doing so.

A movie staring my new action figures

I don’t feel like writing a long introduction so I will let the movie speak for itself…

Part One
Part Two
Part Three

Oh, and I did a voice over for the last bit of me speaking, which is why what I’m saying doesn’t match with what I’m saying. I was talking far too softly for me to be heard which is why I rerecorded. In the future I will try to speak louder and position the camera nearer. I hope you enjoyed the movie!

I have just been attacked by vicious lady bugs…

And I have also completed principal photography on my latest movie. While filming I suddenly felt like singing a song from the Mikado so I filmed it and you can watch it HERE. I did sing another verse but I cut it since it made the movie too long to be up here in one piece.

And if there were any doubts as to the winner of the soup slurping contest he dispelled them at once…

I am currently working on a “new” story though actually it is a story that I started working on several years back, I forget how many. I had a moderately decent plot and a main character named Dalthnodair. However a hard drive crash ended further work on the story. However some time ago I remember the story and wrote down what I remembered of it, which wasn’t too much. So Yesterday, or was it the day before? I really wanted to work on a long story so I thought I would work on this one, since it was fairly well done planning wise with good characters etc. I’ve changed several things about the story and I’ve actually started writing the rough draft! Currently I am on page two, not chapter two, of it and things are looking quite interesting!

The main reason I am writing right now is because I was reminded again that at some point I want to get something published. I doubt that Dalthnodair’s Story will get published anywhere other than here but I need the practice writing something really good, and actually finishing it. So hopefully I will continue to write away at Dalthnodair’s Story. The most recent words I’ve written on the rough draft are “The other adventurer” and I’ll probably find out what I’m going to say next in a minute or two. The first adventurer was the one who won the soup slurping contest, though really there wasn’t a soup slurping contest, it just seemed like there was one from the noise being made.

You know, I think that real quick I’ll look up the other posts written about this story and put them in here so you can see some earlier ideas about this story.

Hmm, apparently it wasn’t quite so long ago that I started writing on this story. Only a little over a year. Read the first post here. Oh, and Gamadraf has given place to Gandaleous and Sarumraf has completely vanished from the tale.

Obviously my conception of time is way off as here is the second post I wrote about the story. The main characters haven’t changed since this post, but they have developed personalities and humor. Ranger is going to be very different from Aragorn. And I still don’t have a sword fight in the plot… And I don’t think I’m going to change that.

The next post shows further progress on the story. And one of the main switches of the book is that none of the main characters are blacksmith’s now.

Apparently I stopped progressing on the story shortly after this post. But now I’m working on it again, and with a new rough draft since I changed some events which made the old rough draft, which never got very far, obsolete. And now, unless I can delay starting for a bit longer, I shall probably return to writing.

I have just returned from the YMCA

Personally I would have preferred just returning from the place in the last post but… I do enjoy, or at least I enjoy as I have no other option but to enjoy it or be miserable for an hour or so a day, reading while using the exercise machines. I brought Elaine’s Pearls with me to read. It is one story you probably won’t find on book store shelves, yet. I wrote it and personally, I really like it. Though of course it does have room for plenty of improvement but I think it has great possibilities, and definitely great humor!

Currently I’m trying to write a moderately long story, one with chapters. I selected a story from my folder of stories and as it has plenty of work already done on the plot and characters all I have to do pretty much is finalize details and then write the story. I have an excellent ending but the beginning needs plenty of work as does the beginning. But at least I have a good ending! I also have six main characters who are pretty well thought out. Probably after I finish this post and delay for a bit more I’ll start working on the story again. I hope to be writing more in the following days. And of course, an action figure movie should be up here soon. I did make one but… It is sooooo low quality and is mainly just me playing around with action figures so I don’t think I’ll put it on here. I had a fun time making it though, and I have a feeling that with a script etc. I’ll be able to do quite a bit with my plastic actors and actresses.

I have just returned from Walmart where I found some Star Wars Action Figures on Sale for $3.00 Each

So I have just bough an action figure of Princess Leia in the Cloud City outfit. They didn’t have Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader or anybody else like that on sale so I simply bought Lando Calrissian, General Madine, and an Imperial Dignitary so I could make a stop action movie with them, and also give Princess Leia some company… Since I already have a Padme action figure from way back in the past I will probably use her in the movie too. Which means that you can expect at some point a stop action movie staring these figures. The Imperial Dignitary will probably be the villain though I don’t know… Lando Calrissian could probably play the part… General Madine will probably be the hero. I have a few faint inklings of the plot and I’m quite certain of the fact that I probably won’t use the actual names of the characters as no one among them is named Lord High Doofus. I also bought a lovely cameo pin which was on sale for $2.50 so I had a good trip:)

It is Sunday January 9th 2005

And if you can’t think of a good title for a post, the date normally works. Today has already been a full day. I ran camera this morning at church and managed not to fall asleep… Which was something I was rather afraid of. I didn’t make any huge blunders and did a fairly good job which considering how tired I was and how much I was yawning was a very good thing.

I am going to end this post now as it is time for the Traditional Sunday Afternoon Nap Of DOOM. Actually skip the Of DOOM part, I just felt like writing it… And as I especially feel like taking it. The end of this post of DOOM!!!
