I am going out to California NEXT WEEKEND!!! if all goes as planned. I will be be spending almost a whole weekend, Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning, with the Massatts. Considering the very enjoyable time I had there last time I will probably have a pretty good time with them this time too.

Today I have been looking a lot at movie costumes. Specifically Lord of the Rings movie costumes. There is a website that has intricate and detailed descriptions of each dress, as well as instructions on how to make them and tons of photos. So currently my mind is own gowns, and lots of them!

One of my favorite daydreams is Elizabeth Unlimited, a movie studio which of course would be run by me. Specifically I start having these daydreams after watching too many behind the scenes on movies and I start picturing interviews with myself and being congratulated for winning numerous oscars… Quite frankly though, I don’t think I’ll ever win any oscars or go to a movie theater and see a movie I’d made, or even had anything remotely to do with. For one thing, I don’t go to movie theaters… In fact, at the moment, I highly doubt I’ll be getting anything published. My finishing powers are not great at present.

But still, I was thinking it would be fun to have a movie which just had one gorgeous fairy tale gown after another. I’m not sure what the plot would be but I do have some ideas. Then, if I was making the movie, which I might just do at some point, I could have a website and go into intricate detail and speculation on the gowns. Only I would probably have a bit more inkling than usual of what I was talking about if I had actually made the dresses.

I was rereading some of my old stories today, and I found that very enjoyable. I think its about time for a new short story on here, but I don’t think I’ll be writing one tonight.

As is somewhat usual and custimary on Thursday I sewed a new dress today, movie coming up. I was modeling it to see what was thought of it and as I walked into Andrew’s room to show it it to him he asked me, “Is that something you bought?” True, Andrew does have poor vision but I was complemented all the same. It took a long time to make this dress. I believe that Frodo was staying in the house of Tom Bombadil when I started it and the council of Elrond is now in full session. In case you don’t understand that, I’m listening to an audio recording of the unabridged version of The Lord of the Rings. I’ve spent several hours on this dress so I was able to listen to a lot of Lord of the rings. So here is a very brief movie I made while wearing this gown.

I don’t know, and I’m too lazy to go find out, whether or not I’ve posted about “Operation Princess” yet, and since I just made up the name of “Operation Princess” I’m pretty sure I haven’t mentioned it. At any rate we are going on a family reunion cruise with relations on my Dad’s side of the family. There will be six female cousins under eighteen on that cruise, one of which will be me. Now being that I am an experienced cruiser and being that I remembered how fun formal nights were and being that I enjoy dressing up… And for a lot of other reasons it was decided that it would be fun for all of the girls to dress up as fairy tale princesses one formal night. When I mentioned this plan to my cousins the response was highly positive, especially when I said that I would make the fairy tale princess gowns for them to wear. One of my cousins can sew so I probably won’t do her outfit. However I have four young cousins to sew fairy tale princess dresses for, and of course I have my dress to do too:)

I now have all of the materials for one of the girls dresses and I am probably going to make hers tomorrow. It’s a few weeks until the cruise so I do have some time. There probably will be LOTS of pictures taken of the girls in their dresses on the cruise. I hope they(the outfits) look very nice… I’ll have to see… My skills at sewing are not so great that they could not be greatly improved on. In other words, I have a lot to learn about sewing. The first outfit I’m making is pretty simple though, it’s theme is red and black dragons so it’s a red basic medieval dress with a black cape and the main time consuming piece on it is the hand cross stitched plastic canvas belt which has black dragons with red wings on it and the girls name embroidered on it too. I haven’t finished cross stitching that yet, but it looks nice so far!

I’m hoping to be able to do a water/ocean theme with one of the girls dresses, and then a daffodil theme with another girls dress. Then Purple Princess with the third girl’s dress. These three girls are sisters and apparently their email is not checked very often… However as I only got the idea for this Friday(or thereabouts) and it’s currently Wednesday and I have heard back from them twice they aren’t quite negligent of their email:)

My dress is still a mystery. I’ve gotten several ideas I like but I haven’t really put any of those into action yet. As I would like a new dress to wear on the cruise I doubt I will use one of my existing costumes. However I might…

I saw an iceberg today, I think… I hope there won’t be icebergs in Bermuda(where we are going on the cruise). I think the word “Titanic” is usually connected with icebergs and as it was a cruise ship of sorts and we are going on a cruise…

I think it would be fun to have my dress be pink. I do have some nice pink fabric already on hand. However I’m not sure of the style etc… I also have a really neat bright yellow and orange dress figured out, but I don’t think Mom would let me wear such bright colors… Maybe for a movie though. I suppose I should stop typing and go to bed. I have a lot to do tomorrow and an extremely messy room to do it in. Sewing does not exactly make a room a cleaner…

Also, on the writing front, I have done some writing on a very interesting and humorous story. It’s currently about five pages long. True, I may not finish it before pigs grow wings and fly or before my brother gets married and lives happily ever after but it’s still an interesting story and has great potential. Unfortunately(or maybe fortunately) I have a whole folder of at least twenty-five stories with great potential, and a brain full of many more. One of my major character flaws is that I have little stability. I just don’t do things in a consistent manner. However, I have been fairly regular with writing posts lately. And now I really must stop writing and go to bed.

Yesterday was quite fun, though very tiring. Mom and I went through a mall and visited lots of stores and I had a grand time! We finished at Walmart where I managed to spend less than $10.00 by a few cents. Unfortunately this does not look like its going to be a long post:)

In the morning I got to sleep in until I woke up, which was fun:) Then after breakfast Mom and I went to Hamricks where we looked around at clothes. Surprisingly I did not buy anything. In fact during the whole shopping trip, we went to several more stores, I only spent $4.24 and that was at a dollar store where I bought four things. But I had fun.

We met Daniel and Dad at El Cancun for lunch and that was nice. Then I road home with Andrew in his Porsche(always fun) and he let me use his camera. He mainly did this because he wanted me to record(his digital camera does video as well as still) the way he did certain turns etc… Due to the fact that Mommy will probably read this post I will not say anything further.

The afternoon I mainly spent on my computer. I received two emails of special note today. On Thursday I think it was I got the grand idea that for one formal night on the family reunion cruise I’m going on in June that all the girls would dress up as fairy tale princesses. I just received confirmation from all my female cousins who are going on the cruise that yes, they would enjoy doing this.

So now I have a fun project because out of six cousins I will probably be making outfits for five of them(including me:)). This will be fun and enjoyable because it will give me an opportunity for sewing some pretty little princess outfits and a chance to make myself a bit more popular with my cousins:) And of course an excuse to buy a little bit more expensive and nice fabric than I usually do, as in $2.00 and $4.00 a yard instead of $1.00. So I’m looking forward to it. I’ve already got several ideas:)

Daniel and Dad went camping this weekend so Mom and I have sort of made it a holiday weekend for us too. Tonight we watched movies and had delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. Tomorrow we plan on going shopping. Andrew stayed home but I think he plans on racing tomorrow so it will be a special weekend for him too. I’m not sure what John’s plans are.

It is about time for a short story on her so…

Once upon a time there was little dog named Harry. He was a little black terrier. One day he saw an open box of full dog treats set beside his food dish so he immediately assumed that they were for him. A little while later his owner came by and noticed the empty box so she picked it up and put it in the trash.

A little while later the garbage man arrived to take out the trash and he took it out to his dump truck. As he was driving along he noticed a dark red Porsche 944 at a stop light. The stop light turned green and the Porsche 944 drove off. It went to a Mexican Restaurant were the occupants got out and went in and had a delicious dinner.

As they were leaving the restaurant they saw a storm cloud which looked as though it was going to burst out in rain at any moment, which it did. However since it was slowly moving onwards it stopped raining in the place it had been and continued raining elsewhere.

In fact it started raining over a certain house that I happen to live in and it continued raining while Mom and I went and got supplies for Grilled Cheese sandwiches and in case you can’t tell, at this paragraph the fiction ceases and the actual happenings begin…

MORAL: It Rained today…

My humble apologies if this tale is not as good as some I have written, I am tired and I do not wish to write. So I will soon go to sleep for tomorrow is SHOPPING DAY!!! And that should be fun:)

However it wasn’t exactly a “get a lot of things done” day. I did not do any school. Mainly I just loafed and used my computer and enjoyed the delights of a good story. I get a lot of enjoyment out of making up a story, though I seldom write the ones I enjoy thinking out.

I went to Walmart this evening, almost always a high mark of my day, and I found some very nice fabric. Or to rephrase that I found THE fabric I’d been looking for, 60 inch wide brown very Jedi Robe looking material. I had found some almost Jedi Robe material last time I was at Walmart and had made what started as a Jedi Robe but ended as something completely different. That’s the fun thing about sewing, you can start out with something in mind but when it doesn’t turn out the way you expected then you can turn it into something else.

At anyrate, on the way home from Walmart Andrew started a Yes and No game. After some time I finally figured out that “Racing” was the word he was looking for. I used up a lot of questions to arrive at that answer. Then it was my turn and being that I was wearing a wrist watch I thought of the word “Watch”. Playing Yes and No is fun because you get to see how people’s mind’s work and how they go from one question to another. In my case it’s pretty random… My Dad started guessing to and after quite a few questions like, “Is it Marine?”(Maybe), “Would a soldier have it?”(Probably), “Is it a parachute?”(No), “Does it have Threads”(Sometimes), “Does it have moving parts?”(Yes), “Is it a rifle?”(No) and “Does it store Money?”(Some might) Dad finally got the answer.

So then it was Dad’s turn to think up a question. After some guesing I finally got, “Is it a boat?” answered “Yes” but I wasn’t able to continue my succes. Andrew one the prize that round by saying, “Is it a cruise ship.” He won, it was a cruise ship.

Then it was my mother’s turn. If you wish to have your brains really given a work out as well as your laughing muscles then play Yes and No with my mother… We were about half way home from Walmart when Andrew’s, Dad’s, and My turns were up and when the car drove up to the house we still hadn’t gotten it. Mommy finally told us… It was “Windshield Wipers”. And yes, Windshield Wipers typically aren’t yellow and you don’t really use them to clean your house and most people don’t decorate with them and they are found outside and they have a definite shape though not round and you may take them with you when you travel and they are not a suitcase. We had a fun time. And now it is time for bed for tomorrow is another day.

But it has certainly been more fun:) Sometimes it takes doing a whole lot of school and other duties to make not doing them more enjoyable. Today I have not done any school(so far). Tonight I may get to go to Walmart! That will be fun!
