Concealed Weapons

Can now be carried by my Mother, Father, and one of my brothers. They just took a concealed weapons test this afternoon.

 I Net Shooting.jpg

Just in case you can’t tell, my mother is the one holding the gun and pointing it at the target. I think it’s really obvious but… I’m kind of zonked out in video mode right now and I’m not very good at writing posts. My brother(and Dad), however, is really good at shooting(he took the picture) and I think my Mother wanted that to be generally known just in case anybody gets any ideas about bothering me they can have good reason to decide against it.

Have a nice day:)

Subplots… Length… Etc.

I’m rather pleased. I’ve been working a story for about an hour and it’s showing very good possibilities for a book, or at least a long story. I like the main character and the story has humor and romance in large quantities. So far as far as romance goes I have four romances, the main character, her two sisters, and a friend of the main character. So far as humor goes I have rabid squirrels eating onions… And that’s just the beginning of the absurdity. I’m liking the story so far.

One thing that I did a bit differently on this story was focusing on “SUPLOTS!!!”(of doom) and working on making it a depthy story with a lot of needed for the story events happening instead of being a lot of filler. So there will be a lot of events happening involving pirates, princes, onions, balls, silk gowns, squirrels, adventure, pickling, briefly unrequited love, and a lot of other things I have yet to think up but hopefully will tomorrow. I’m enjoying the planning so far.

I did something special to help me write. I put together a play list of very inspirational writing music together. As it is primarily sound track music that helps me with ideas and whenever the pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack music plays it almost always helps with new characters being introduced. One of the romances and one of the subplots was inspired very directly by that music. So there is going to be a pirate captain who will play a crucial part in the story by being a principal character in one of the romances. But which, the heroine, one of the heroine’s sisters, or the heroine’s friend? Time will, hopefully, tell and hopefully I’ll be completing a book soon. I’ve been trying to work on completing a book since last week and so far I’ve developed three potential plots but of the three plots I’ve developed, the one I’m writing on, and talking about, now has the best potential to be a good book of them all. I just have to make it have enough happen in it to be a book. Which means I need to think up seventy-five plus pages worth of action. Right now, however, I think I will post this then go to bed.

June 14, 2006

I’ve been going through my story folders

And I just completed a list of my long stories in the order they were completed as well as page length:)

Order of Long Story completion

1. The Royal Crowns of Scotland 34 pages
2. Elaine’s Pearls 29 pages
3. The Crown Princess of Kralth 24 pages
4. The First Lengthy Rambling Fantasy Story of Elizabeth Joy Von Fange 46 pages
5. Alethia’s Adventure 24 pages
6. The Lord of the Ving 38 pages
7. Princess Alethia of Strylar or the Three Princesses of Strylar 72 pages
8. Whatever This Is 23 pages

So I have completed eight long stories. A total of 290 pages in a little over two years of finished long story material. Plus quite a few other shorter stories and lots of posts and some scripts. So I suppose I may have been doing a lot of writing.

Something really surprising that I found out was that I had 17 incomplete rough drafts, I hadn’t known I’d started so many rough drafts. Typically I write down ideas but it’s a bit unusual for me to start a rough draft. Really interesting information was that 9 of those rough drafts were greater than 5 pages.

So it’s been an evening of discovery and hopefully soon I’ll be finishing those 17 incomplete rough drafts.

For now I’m ready to stop writing this post and switch to doing what I was doing before starting to write this post.

Daniel’s Challange

Saturday evening Daniel challanged me to write a story with no R’s in it. I wrote the story on Monday not really having had the time to do it before. And here is the story without any R’s in it.

Daniel Von Fange’s Challenge
By Elizabeth Von Fange

“Once upon a time” I began, “My sibling Daniel challenged me to compose a tale without using the component of the alphabet between q and s. This challenge I have accepted and I am now about to begin this daunting task.”

“And what does that have to do with me?” the spotted Bengal mouse asked lifting one eyelid lazily.

“I want you to be in the tale.” I told it.

“I won’t do it. No way you can put me into it.” the spotted Bengal mouse said emphatically.

“I put you in anyway.” I calmly mentioned then, without waiting to let the stupefied spotted Bengal mouse say anything else I began my hunt to find some one else to be in the tale along with the spotted bengal mouse.

Imagination being the magnificent thing it is, it was not long until I saw a beautiful damsel who looked as though she ought to yell, and loudly, if a mouse was placed in the vicinity.

I now had just one last component to seek out and it wasn’t long until I found him, a handsome young knight who stood about 6′4″ and held doughty mouse catching device. Action was now to be unleashed.

I went back to the spotted Bengal mouse. It had decided to take a nap and was sleeping on a silk cushion while making nasal noises quite loudly.

“I need you to do something.” I yelled to awaken the spotted Bengal mouse.

“What!” it mumbled sleepily as it yawned and attempted to go back to sleep.

“Wake up to begin with.” I said, not so gently bumping it with a stick.

The spotted Bengal mouse looked at me without any feeling of joy and slowly got up. “Why won’t you leave me alone” it piteously whined.

“I will as soon as you do the deed you have to do in my tale.”

“You don’t have a tail,” it said, “I have a tail. ”

“No, I mean… Oh… Just get up and go to the vicinity of the beautiful damsel. Then you can back to sleep and I shan’t annoy you again.”

With a squeak the spotted Bengal mouse set out. It swiftly sped into the vicinity of the beautiful damsel who, as soon as she saw it, yelled with intimidation and began jumping up and down while saying “A mouse! A Mouse.”

It was now time to cue the knight who would save the day with his doughty mouse catching device but he was busy looking at the sky while listening to his IPod and contemplating if any chocolate could be found in the black holes of space.

This state of things was unacceptable so I quickly summoned the Golden Eagle of Doom who swooped down and with one fell pluck of its talons took the headphones of the knight while a little mole caused a small hole beneath the knight’s feet. The knight fell down and suddenly he was capable of
listening to noises that seemed to indicate that someone was in need of assistance.

Being a dutiful knight, when he wasn’t listening to his IPod and contemplating, he got up and to see what the cause of the noise was and in doing so he saw that the beautiful damsel was being annoyed by the spotted Bengal mouse.

Quickly he pulled out his doughty mouse catching device and sped to the scene of the chaos. Using the mouse catching device he caught the spotted Bengal mouse and the beautiful damsel ceased jumping up and down and yelling and stood quite still looking at the handsome knight who was dispensing with the spotted Bengal mouse.

The spotted Bengal mouse, just so you know, was okay and wasn’t dispensed much but he left the scene and went back to his silk pillow to nap in peace and so he lived happily to the end of his days.

The handsome knight, having dispensed with the mouse, looked up and he beheld the beautiful damsel who was beholding him and as they both seemed to know at the same moment that time was limited and that I would be finishing this tale soon, the handsome knight swiftly asked the beautiful damsel to become his wife and she said yes so they wed and lived twice as lengthy and happy lives as the spotted Bengal mouse. THE END

Ending piece of wisdom: Limitations sometimes enhance things though often they just make something totally silly. And yes, I had limitations on this tale. Enjoyed it though I hope you did:)

I woke up at 7:30 this morning

Which is not typical. I’m trying to wake up earlier in the morning and go to bed earlier since “Early to bed, Early to rise, makes a man healthy wealthy and wise.” All three of those attributes I could use some more of.

So at the moment I’m rather sleepy. And I have writers block for posts so I’ll probably end this post and get on to the writing project I’m supposed to be working on which is writing a one page story without the use of the letter R. That’s going to be interesting…

I have just returned from Florida

And due to a new policy of my Mother’s I wasn’t able to mention that I was going on this trip. However I can now mention that I am back and glad to be so and I am enjoying the internet after a week long break from it and I am soon going to be going to bed.

I have been taking a cruise of sorts

My idea of a fun cruise is lying around watching TV I’ve never seen before, eating a lot, and having fun. However I also enjoy exploring the cruise ship and going to all of the craft things which is perhaps more of a “Cruise”. This week I’ve been performing an experiment and taking a “Land Cruise” right a home(which is a lot cheaper). My ticket was only $30.00, which purchased season two of MacGyver. Twenty-two thrilling episodes have kept me quite busy the past few days and I have done very little but watch MacGyver, Sleep, Ride my bicycle, engage in conversation with my family and eat, and in that order. I’ve had a great time!

And I think this might be enough of a post for right now. The boat hasn’t quite come back yet and my land cruise is still going on.
