A Picture of a Doll and a Black Garbage bag

Where is the trash bag you might ask? Well, the doll is wearing it. That is one complete and total, no scraps left over, black garbage bag and that is what my doll is now wearing. I personally think she looks very nice. The texture of the garbage bag has a sort of futuristic science fiction kind of feel which matches well with the styling of the dress. The skirt is very special in the way I did it and it\’s a very very very time consuming to even think about doing a skirt like that. However it\’s quite fashionable and I saved a lot of time by using a stapler instead of hand sewing each little bit together in the proper way and thus the dress was finished this morning instead of some time next week or never at all. I am quite pleased with how it turned out:) Garbage Bag Couture works quite well! And I\’m feeling very creative as most people wouldn\’t look at a garbage bag and envision clearly a dress like that…

At least this isn\’t about mushrooms

Or at least I hope it won\’t be about mushrooms… Anyway… I\’ve been enjoying my new DS Lite. I got the program Brain Age with it and I was very happy this morning when the test said I was THIRTY!!! Considering that I originally tested at sixty and the optimum age is twenty I was very happy.

I\’ve started a new habbit this week. After breakfast and our family devotions are over I grab my purse and a book and sit outside on our patio furniture. I then read my Bible and pray for a little while. Then do a round of brain training. Then I take care of my Nintendogs. Then I read for a while. Then I come back in once it gets too hot. It\’s a very healthy habit that I\’m trying to form.

I\’ve been reading \”The Swiss Family Robinson\” which is an excellent book. And I just hit writers block therefore I think this post is over. I\’ve been trying to retrain myself for writing but not very much has been happening in that respect. But about the best thing I\’ve written so far was this paragraph…

Monkeys!!! Or actually, I think I went over that earlier. Anyway, it is time to write. Perhaps a cat shall arise and say that it is mightier than the dragon and why should it sit on a pile of videos and books while the dragon sits on the doll house. Then the wise three headed dragon shall say that not all dragons sit upon doll houses and the Idog shall bark in agreement while the cat shall still be unsatisfied with it’s position on the books and videos.

That was inspired largely by the fact that one of my stuffed cats was sitting on a pile of books and videos on my dressers and my favorite dragon stuffed animal was sitting on top of my doll house, also on the dresser. My three headed stuffed dragon sits on my video monitor which is also on the dresser. Hmm… It could be an interesting movie perhaps I shall work further on the idea.

Coral Pink Nintendo DS Lite

Is what I purchased for myself at the beginning of the month. I love my pretty new DS Lite!!! It\’s been grand fun to play with. I got Nintendogs free when I purchased my DS Lite (A special offer from Amazon.com that is no in effect) and I\’ve had a good time with my new puppies. As you can talk to your puppies and they\’ll hear you Mother was at first wondering if I was trying to tell her something as strange noises emitted from my room. And the cute little dog barks do sound convincingly real…

My three puppies are very cute. I first got a boxer that I named Rhone after the hero of one of my books. I next got a beagle named Lilac and last of all a Cavelier King Charles Spaniel (my favorite dog breed) and named her Alethia. The are all doing well in agility competitions as those did not require talking. Eventually I got tired of intently talking to my DS Lite and saying things like \”Sit, Rhone, Sit! Sit!!!\” and Rhone still wouldn\’t sit… however \”It, It\” worked much better as I pronounce my \”S\’s\” very softly and when I was recording the command sound for the game I was not enunciating clearly it seemed.

It is kind of interesting how the training system works as you get to say anything you want when the dog successfully performs the trick. So you could say \”Wimbleweather\” and providing you said it consistently each time when your puppy heard \”Wimbleweather\” it would sit down and perhaps roll over for \”Hickletypickitly\”.

And that is my post for today.

Mad Scientist and Mushrooms

The evening was peaceful and quiet as the mushrooms silently continued to grow all over the yard. And yes, this is going to be a fictional post.

The moon rose over the horizon. It was a full moon and the time was right, or so thought the mad scientist who entered the yard full of mushrooms. Carefully stepping so as to avoid damaging even the smallest of the mushrooms he wended his way through the yard, carefully sprinkling a little of his formula on each mushroom. With cackles of glee he snuck out again, little dreaming of the consequences of his action.

The moon continued to rise. A gentle wind blew over the yard. The mushrooms stood there and felt as though they were at last awakening.

The mad scientist back in his lab was reviewing his plan. The mushrooms would grow, then come alive, and start rampaging all over the world Then he would emerge as the super hero Anit-Fungus! With his powerful Shroomspray he would be able to defeat the mushrooms and become a hero! And… Scattered noises outside called his attention away from his plan. Carefully he peered out, had the mushrooms started their rampage already? But no, nothing unusual seemed to be happening. Everything was still and quiet, he assumed the noise had been only the wind.

Dawn came and with the dawn the mad scientist realized that it had been a very quiet night. He quickly sped out to the yard of mushrooms and examined them closely. They seemed to be just the same as they had been. The mad scientist was disappointed. His plan seemed to have failed. And indeed, his plan had failed for the mushrooms never went on a rampage and grew only slightly larger than they had been. They did however, organize themselves into quartets and start singing classical music at the top of their lungs. However, as they had no lungs no one every heard them sing and thus the world was kept safe from a great deal of annoying noise. And the mushrooms did live happily ever after!

So what was the point of this story. Well, there really wasn\’t a point at all. I just felt like I ought to type a story and write a post so I thought I would type a story as a post. Hopefully at some point I\’ll be able to write the amusing fairy tales I used to write.
